He double-checked our chosen songs and made suggestions if he thought one of them wouldn't work. He really brought the party to the wedding day! Our MC Matt was top-notch. “Seth was the best wedding DJ that we could have hoped for! We first met Seth at a wedding vendor expo event at our reception venue and were immediately impressed by the quality of his sound system and his ability to mix the selected soundtrack live. Seth is very communicative. In our first meeting with Seth, it was already immediately apparent that he was very experienced and very passionate about making our wedding day special and everything that we wanted it to be. We felt very comfortable that he knew what he was doing, and on the day of the wedding he executed flawlessly. As for the preparation work, Seth schedules multiple meetings with you leading up to your wedding day which eases a lot of the nerves heading into busy planning season. Seth also has an app that you can download on your phone which is awesome because it allows you to edit details of your wedding day timeline and playlist on-the-go as we were making decisions during the planning months. On the day of the wedding, Seth came prepared having downloaded all the music that we talked about ahead of time and he kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT (over 3 hours). Seth responded to the audience and was able to mix a variety of genres that we had requested (like country, pop, spanish music, musical songs, etc) over various sets across the evening. He also coordinated our photo booth which was a nice touch that all the guests really enjoyed and had a second person stationed there for help all night. We couldn't recommend Seth enough to other couples who are in need of a DJ! Thank you, Seth!”

“Eric Morales was our DJ for our wedding in Temecula! He was absolutely amazing, helped keep us on schedule and kept the party alive the whole time! “We first learned about Oso Events in the summer of 2022 while remotely planning our California wedding from the East Coast. From the very first introductory call, they blew us away with their professionalism, punctuality, warmth, organization, and excellence. Without them, our wedding would not have been nearly as amazing as it was! They found us fantastic vendors in the Bay Area like the food, HMUA, DJ, and server staffing company, organized our wedding day schedule, held regular video calls with us, got quotes from vendors, kept track of our budget and payment schedule with weekly updates, arranged set-up of the ceremony and reception venue, made sure our vendors got day-of tips, and more! The only thing that could be improved is that there was a specific deadline for event liability insurance that I and the planning team all missed initially. No harm was done though! The mistake was caught in time before it affected the event, and all went well! Michelle and Raymundo excellently identified what our energy levels as a newlywed couple would be like in the week leading up to the big event, and the day of the actual wedding. Raymundo directed our impromptu ceremony rehearsal, helping our officiant and party mark their places and signaling where/when we should stand and walk. Michelle checked in with the bride and the groom consistently throughout the night of the reception, asking if we needed water, food, or other drinks since we were often distracted by the festivities. They maintained effective communication leading up to and on the day of the wedding. Their decorations at the ceremony and reception were absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. At the end of the night, they managed takedown, and made sure all of the personal decorative items and remembrance photos we brought were conveniently all in the same box for us to take home. Through the yearlong process of planning, they dealt with last-minute logistical changes with incredible poise, and truly grounded us, allowing us to enjoy the day with free minds. The team even accommodated two of our guests who tested positive for COVID last-minute by setting up a separate table for them in the outdoor venue. We couldn't recommend them more highly. Not to mention, their BobaHolics boba bar was a huge hit and the photo booth was a lot of fun. We got a lot of mileage out of the sustainable decor inventory, which prevented us from having tons of wedding stuff on hand that we'd accumulate and need to resell after. The entire range of services offered by Oso is incredibly helpful and will make any event an absolute hit. We have loved working with the team and we’re so grateful they decided to take us on as clients at the start of their wedding planning journey.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Gabby and Claudio Cakes! I found Gabby on Zola while planning our 120-person wedding. Though I reached out to other bakers, Gabby stood out with her variety of items, designs, and services. I am an indecisive person, so when I contacted Gabby, we only had a rough idea of what we wanted: a small cake and a dessert table. Gabby’s excellent communication skills helped us find exactly what we didn’t even know we wanted. She took our vague ideas and brought them to life with her creativity. Gabby met with us for a tasting, where we got to try an impressive selection of cake combinations. From what I recall, she offered more choices than any other baker we considered. While we aren’t typically cake people, every single thing we tasted was absolutely delicious. Our wedding was in Ventura County, and Gabby was able to provide delivery from LA. Our wedding started later than usual, and Gabby was flexible with a later delivery time, which was a huge help since our wedding was outdoors—we didn’t want desserts melting before the reception started. Even our coordinator mentioned how great this was since it’s not a standard service. In the end, we ordered around 19 dozen assorted pastries and a small cake for photos. The desserts were such a hit that they were gone almost immediately, and even months later, guests are still talking about how amazing everything was. “TLDR: Hiring Modern Highway for our wedding was, hands down, the best decision my wife and I made for our big day. First and foremost, they are all talented, professional, and brought a large repertoire to the table. Christina is a fantastic singer, with big range. She is also a great business person, again with exceptional range - handling our light, acoustic service music, our post-wedding cocktail music, and our reception music. All live - which kicked the sheeet out of a DJ. She also MC’d. For weddings, hitting hitches is bad - there were none. The long version: Our wedding was a Sunday. It was in a more remote area from LA - Temecula. My wife had just been injured in a car accident - so we were a little nervous but the event was still a go with many people flying in. I am a musician and my wife and I had made the decision that live music was what we wanted for our big celebration. In hindsight, my only regret is the Sunday wedding because we hired Modern Highway to do our music and they were on fire. And some guests had to think about…Monday. But Christina and the band really held things together. It was a fun event and a big piece of that was the music. Christina brought a tremendous amount of energy. Her voice is electric and, when it came time to dance, the band brought it. Christina was very active moving through the crowd, dancing and singing. It is so hard to do that well - to be the energy. Where we needed “other” services, for first dances, parent dances, introductions, ceremony, etc., Christina & Modern Highway had it all covered. In a few cases we needed streamed music - covered. We needed someone to make the event go from the mic - covered. In a unique circumstance, my own band wanted to play - covered. If I’d been them, I would have said no. And frankly, based on what I saw from Christina, we could not have had a better person handling the mic that night. My wife and I look back on our wedding day as a true blessing - a day we were ecstatic about on the spot. I know a big piece of our internal satisfaction is knowing the entertainment was top notch. I wish Christina could have been our photographer as well!”
