We reached out to The Oviatt with just a month to go—and from the very first call, Gabe was calm, collected, and fully supportive of both our vision and our budget. No stress, no pressure—just genuine enthusiasm to help us make it happen. Lindsey was incredible. Even though we were fairly on top of everything, she guided us with clarity, creativity, and care. When plans shifted, she adjusted seamlessly and brought everything together in a way that felt effortless (though we know it wasn’t!). Even when the downtown curfew popped up the week of our wedding, the team took every curveball in stride and made sure we felt cared for from start to finish. If you’re looking for a stunning Art Deco gem with a team that truly has your back—this is it.

From the moment we booked The Thursday Club as our wedding venue, it was stress free. Chris, the venue manager, was a pleasure to work with. Their communication was always prompt and effective, and they were incredibly accommodating to all of our needs. The fact that tables and chairs were already included in the rental fee was a huge bonus and saved us a lot of time and money. On the day of the wedding, I didn't have to worry about a single thing. Our wedding coordinator, Courtney from Breezy Day Weddings, was amazing and worked seamlessly with all of our vendors. My husband and I just got married at Jefferson Street Mansion and it was the most perfect wedding we could have ever imagined - it exceeded our vision! The whole JSM team was so amazing to work with and made planning as stress-free as possible. We stuck to the planning timeline they provided in the planning binder (which was SO helpful to have) and had everything ready in time. Our guests all raved about what a fabulous wedding it was. We customized the venue quite a bit bringing in our own decor and personal touches and it did not feel cookie-cutter at all even though it is an all-inclusive venue. I am so happy we chose JSM!! The recommended vendors were all outstanding, the food was delicious, everything ran smoothly during the wedding and I didn't have to stress about a thing. The mansion, ceremony area, and reception tent are all BEAUTIFUL. I could not have asked for a more perfect day.

This was an incredible venue for a much more reasonable cost compared to other Santa Barbara options. We did reception only for 5000. The building itself is beautiful. The courtyard is spacious and well cared for. We also used their indoor auditorium space which had so much old school charm. Beautiful stained glass window, plenty of bathrooms, and so much space for dancing! There’s even a stage, although we didn’t use it. They also have lots of rental packages you can add on. We got all of our reception furniture (tables and chairs) for an additional 1200. We worked with Joanie from the Unitarian society who was so helpful! They are definitely firm on a few rules but overall it was all very reasonable and we had an incredible experience. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I knew we wanted to get married but did not want to plan the actual wedding…and we are so lucky that we found the company Wedgewood. With so many venues to choose from, we got married at The Sanctuary in Long Beach and when I say our wedding was stunning, I mean it. We will cherish the day forever. Wedgewood made the entire process so incredibly easy, it almost felt too good to be true. But it was true! All we had to do was make the final decisions and our team took care of the rest of it. We showed up, got married, had an amazing party with amazing food and drinks and had the time of our lives. Not only did we love our wedding, our guests loved it as well. We got so many compliments on how beautiful our decor was and how smoothly everything went. As a bride, I was so nervous about our timeline going the way it was supposed to, but our wedding coordinator, Fumi made sure everything was on track. Fumi made our day so much better and my bridal party loved her. She made me believe that the most important thing was that I married my husband. I highly recommend Wedgewood Weddings. There are no loopholes, their pricing is reasonable and you are able to express yourself freely with them and plan your perfect wedding day. Everyone on their team was no kind to us and make our day so much easier and made us feel so so special. I am so grateful for Wedgewood. Book with them!!

Our venue was absolutely gorgeous and exactly how we hoped and envisioned it would be for our special evening. The partitions were a game changer and definitely an extra special touch. Our guests had a plethora of compliments about all the different facets and how well every inch is utilized within the space. Also, all of the staff was amazing, from the start of our tour to the breakdown at the end of the wedding. The bartenders were especially awesome. We are also so happy we went with the wedding coordinator through the venue, Jillian. She was very friendly but still professional. She kept the night in a good flow and executed the transitions excellently considering ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all in essentially the same space and she had 100 people to work around. She also made sure to check on us throughout the evening to make sure everything was good for us and if we needed anything. Overall, our experience was amazing, the venue was stunning and the evening was everything we dreamed of. So incredibly happy with our choice and highly recommend using Flora for any event, not just a wedding.

For the 2025 wedding season we will offer indoor weddings/receptions in our new 7500 sq ft barn.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Handles all cleanup logistics
  • Historic touches
  • Has onsite accommodations

Venue considerations

  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
  • Lighting and sound are not included
We recently had our wedding at Suisun Valley Inn, and overall, it was a beautiful and memorable experience. One of the biggest highlights was being able to use the venue for three full days, which gave us extra time to relax and connect with our bridal party and loved ones. That extended access truly made a difference in how special the weekend felt. However, there were a few challenges that did impact our plans. The event barn, which was a key part of our original vision, was unfortunately not finished in time for our wedding. While we understand this was out of the owner’s control, we were disappointed that we were not refunded the full 2,000 deposit, especially since the change affected nearly every aspect of our day. Additionally, when we arrived, we were surprised to find the vineyard had been plowed without any prior notice. This forced another last-minute adjustment to our setup so we wouldn’t be facing a dirt lot. It would have been really helpful to have been told about that in advance. Despite these hiccups, the venue itself has so much potential and charm, and we did have a lovely wedding. I just hope some of these experiences can help future couples plan better or spark a few improvements from the venue for the future.

We were looking for a beautiful low key venue for our wedding. The Lighthouse was by far even better than we imagined! We primarily worked with Maggie who was fantastic! She was very realistic when it came to helping us stay within our budget and gave us some excellent vendor recommendations accordingly. We had a few meetings with her along the way and she listened to what we wanted and helped us stay on task getting everything sorted out. She was super flexible and accommodating with us on the day of the wedding. Maggie and Alma were both there the day of the wedding and they were both busy making sure everything was running smoothly! In addition to how wonderful they are, this venue is the most beautiful! We used the outside and inside area. We heard from several of our guests that it was the most beautiful venue (and wedding ;) ) they had attended! We have the absolute best memories from this day and wouldn’t change a thing!

Philo, CA

The oldest house in Philo (1888), it was Anderson Valley’s first post office and stagecoach stop that decades later was the Philo Pottery Inn. During the painstaking restoration we did using nearly all salvaged materials, its secrets and history began to resurface. We were constantly discovering little finds, over 200 1880's old glass bottles buried on the grounds to the headline clad 1915 newspaper lined walls in the main house. It’s been part remodel and archeological dig. Now it’s ready to host events & make fresh memories for decades to come. A few years ago we were lucky enough to add 20+ acres of open meadow lands & forest contiguous to TKO for events & glamping and built an amphitheater by Indian Creek in the woods. We can host up to 100 and have have 12 bedrooms in three fab houses, plus glamping tents. The Knotty Oaks property is situated in the stunning wine region of Anderson Valley, which is surrounded by several excellent wineries. The property is located near the Navarro River and Hendy Woods State Park, providing numerous opportunities to relax, unwind, and explore the valley's hidden gems. Over the past year and a half, we have enjoyed observing the development of the property. The main house and guest houses have unique personalities and make wonderful spaces to entertain and gather. The property itself is magnificent, featuring beautiful meadows and a creek that we loved exploring. There is a lot of potential for hosting gatherings of all sizes and styles throughout the property. Mary is a pleasure to work with. She responds quickly to inquiries and consistently provides thoughtful, kind answers.

We loved having our wedding at the La Jolla Woman's Club. The venue was very prompt and easy to communicate with during the planning process, which helped make things stress-free. The space itself is clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained - perfect for both our ceremony and reception. A highlight was using their grand piano on stage during our mother daughter dance. It was a special moment. They also made the rental process smooth by offering most items directly through their preferred vendor. Overall, fantastic service and great value for a San Diego wedding venue. The stunning architecture and coastal views provided a perfect backdrop for our big day.

We had a wonderful wedding - the Wedgewood team helped us create a meaningful ceremony and reception. The pictures online do not do this place justice - you have to see it for yourself! The grounds are beautiful; we had our ceremony at the pavilion and our reception in the garden area / in their indoor hall area. The venue definitely felt like a fairy / cottage core dream to me! Wedgewood also vendors that work with them and provide really excellent services - florals, music, cakes. If you want to have an awesome wedding and reduce your stress, I would check this place out.

We had a great experience with Trademark at GG. It’s a semi all inclusive venue so they provided a planner (we had Courtney, she was great!) set up meetings throughout the planning process to go over timeline, details & food. The food was amazing as well! We did family style. The venue was stunning, especially at night. I highly recommend working with Trademark at any of their venues.

Velaslavasay Panorama

5.0

Los Angeles, CA
  • Up to 75 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $1,800

The Velaslavasay Panorama is housed in the Union Theatre, a historic neighborhood cinema built in 1910 with a neon marquee, enchanting garden, vintage theatre space and 360-degree painted panorama viewing hall. Set in the historic West Adams District near Downtown LA, the Velaslavasay Panorama is proud to participate in the cultural and artistic identity of the great city of Los Angeles, known the world over as an entertainment capital and the center of magnetic showmanship and spectacle. A visit to our panorama is complimented by a stroll through The Velaslavasay Garden and Grounds, featuring lush tropical plantings, a wide variety of succulents, a misting and meditation grotto, and a copper-roofed gazebo for reading and reflection. Reminiscent of the great 19th century pleasure gardens, our Grounds provide welcome respite from the everyday cares of the world.

If what you are seeking is a truly magical venue, look no further than the Velaslavasay Panorama. My wife and I did not want to have the typical hotel conference hall wedding. We wanted to show our family from outside of LA a place that was meaningful to us and at the same time still impress our friends from LA. The Panorama is genuinely extraordinary, with several different areas that can be arranged to suit your celebration. Our guest list was about 70 people and it was the perfect size. We opted to have our main ceremony in the historic theatre, our cocktail reception with our bartender in the lush garden, our musician play in the gazebo, and our dinner in the large area outside the moon gate. This made it easy for pick ups and drop offs with our catering and table / chair / bar rental. Sara and Ruby from the Panorama were absolutely lovely to deal with and helped considerably with logistics before, during, and after the event. Our photographer loved all of the different backdrops possible and everyone kept mentioning how wonderful the venue was. Check it out, I'm sure you will be absolutely stunned by the Panorama.

I rented the Tomales Town Hall for my fiftieth birthday. There was torrential rain outside but the hall was warm and cozy. We had an eight-piece band up on the stage and they sounded fantastic with the acoustics in the room. We had an area cleared up front for dancing and the small round tables in the back with tablecloths and electric candles on them. We served wine and beer from the bar. Much fun was had by all!
