We recently had our wedding at Suisun Valley Inn, and overall, it was a beautiful and memorable experience. One of the biggest highlights was being able to use the venue for three full days, which gave us extra time to relax and connect with our bridal party and loved ones. That extended access truly made a difference in how special the weekend felt. However, there were a few challenges that did impact our plans. The event barn, which was a key part of our original vision, was unfortunately not finished in time for our wedding. While we understand this was out of the owner’s control, we were disappointed that we were not refunded the full 2,000 deposit, especially since the change affected nearly every aspect of our day. Additionally, when we arrived, we were surprised to find the vineyard had been plowed without any prior notice. This forced another last-minute adjustment to our setup so we wouldn’t be facing a dirt lot. It would have been really helpful to have been told about that in advance. Despite these hiccups, the venue itself has so much potential and charm, and we did have a lovely wedding. I just hope some of these experiences can help future couples plan better or spark a few improvements from the venue for the future.

I am so happy that I chose to have my wedding at log cabin. The staff here is AMAZING from start to finish. Jolina was my day of coordinator and let me just say she was so sweet and caring and made sure my day felt special. She and her team did such a beautiful job decorating for the wedding. Way better than what I had imagined/suggested. Sara was also there to help on my wedding day and I could tell she really put a lot of effort into making sure I felt like I had everything I needed. From a drink to my change of dress! Which, felt so reassuring. Leah was also a huge help throughout the planning process. I honestly loved how the venue breaks each meeting up and lets you know exactly how to prepare. I am just so unbelievably happy with how my wedding turned out. It was truly a dream

We got married here in July and have nothing but positive things to say about this place. TMH exceeded all of our expectations and we would highly recommend them to anyone considering getting married here! As our first impression of TMH, Rachel can take most of the credit for our decision. Her virtual tour with us was outstanding. She really took the time to give us a full “experience” of the property, answering all of our questions, so that we really got a good and complete picture, even without seeing the venue in person. She always made herself available and was responsive to our every need, as we made our decision. Her upfront and honest answers helped us to work within the timeline we had, make informed decisions, and ultimately make TMH a reality for us. Penie, the coordinator, far exceeded everything we could have hoped for, and then some. We attribute so much of our amazing experience at TMH to her and her efforts, from the very beginning all the way through the end. It was clear that creating our vision really mattered to her. She was very responsive and organized. We know she had many other couples but we always felt like we were the only one she was working with. We never had to worry about a thing as we knew she had our backs. She did an excellent job with EVERY little detail of our day! After being involved with quite a few weddings, it is easy to see how fortunate we were to have Penie. She is a stellar asset to TMH, and we will forever be grateful to her. The vendors that are included in the package worked very well together, and it was very apparent that they knew TMH well. It seemed like they were all TMH staff, and that made a huge difference in the way they worked and the ease of the day. All accommodations were clean, stocked, and ready to go when we arrived. If any of our guests needed anything, the staff at the General Store were happy to help. Sam and Susie stood out as TMH staff that helped us and our guests with anything that we needed throughout our stay. Our guests appreciated the character of the accommodations, as they were all very special, unique, and carried their own charm. Creekside was by far our favorite, and we enjoyed all of its special touches. We had multiple people tell us this was the best wedding they have ever been to, and we know that this reflected largely on TMH and its staff. We were able to relax and truly enjoy our day from beginning to end, and we know TMH played a huge part in that. Everything flowed well from one “stage” to the next. We were impressed with all the coordination that went on behind the scenes to allow this to happen. TMH staff did a really good job of making us, as well as our guests, feel extremely special and important. TMH staff worked well with all vendors to make the day completely seamless. The ceremony and reception site couldn’t have been more beautiful, and it was obvious that the small details matter to TMH. Our ceremony and reception were far from traditional, and they were pulled off without a hitch. We were able to take everything TMH offered and turn it into something unique and special to us. We appreciated TMH’s extraordinary flexibility in executing our vision. There was never any concern that we were going to get a “cookie cutter” experience out of an all-inclusive venue. Overall, TMH’s package offering took a huge burden off the planning process, which was a major selling point for us.

The most amazing experience and venue!!! It is really hard to put into words how in love my husband and I were with our wedding at The Lodge at Two Moons. We had the most incredible experience from our first planning call all the way through the wedding day. Shiloh and her team made the wedding planning so much fun and a seamless experience. It was all a blast, but of course the day of took the cake! We had the amazing opportunity to have the venue for our wedding for the full weekend, so our family and friends were able to enjoy the property all weekend. We held our rehearsal dinner and day of activities all on site. The onsite team was amazing, as well, and truly are the nicest and most thoughtful crew :) The property itself is just gorgeous and made the most amazing setting for our wedding. But, besides just the venue itself it really was The Lodge at Two Moons team that really made our wedding a dream. It was amazing to see the vision I had in my mind truly come to life and look exactly as I had imagined. Shiloh and her team made this happen and with the most professional, caring, communicative, and fun approach. It is really hard to truly explain how much we appreciate them and so happy that the whole team was a part of our day. This place is a dream and we cannot wait to plan other trips up for special celebrations. Thank you to everyone who made our day perfect!

To begin describing the experience we had at Del Oro Valley is difficult to do! Because it was SO amazing. We had our wedding venue cancel on us 6 months before our wedding and it was an emotionally deflating experience. However we didn’t realize at the time it was a gift that landed us at the most magical venue full of people more aligned with everything we love and stand for. Del Oro valley saved our wedding and provided us with more than we could have ever asked for. They went above and beyond to provide us with a peak experience I’m certain we couldn’t have achieved elsewhere. They helped us produce a talent show at, provided camp counselors for games and community activation, provided a place with incredible sound for us to dance all night, catered delicious food for 110 people, and gave us lasting memories. This venue has it all. Gorgeous mountain outlooks at the amphitheater for our ceremony and a candlelit patio dinner. An A-frame cabin decked out with lights and an excellent sound system for dancing. There’s a huge pool at main camp near lodging for folks to relax at during the day, and lodging onsite for all your people to stay and connect over the weekend. Couldn’t recommend this venue more. Thank you Del Oro Valley for sharing one of the most memorable weekends with us!

Twin Oaks by Trademark Venues
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
San Marcos, CA
  • Up to 175 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $15,950

Nestled among towering trees in San Marcos, California, Twin Oaks is a hidden garden wedding venue surrounded by lush gardens, twinkling rose arbors, tranquil waterfalls, romantic statuary, and the charm of a historic 1891 estate. Twin Oaks offers a celebration experience that feels private, timeless, and beautifully romantic. Couples can begin the day in the restored Grand Parlor or traditional Gentlemen’s Clubhouse before choosing from distinctive ceremony settings including the Natural Forest, Wooden Turn-Post Gazebo, Rustic Atrium, and Braided Ivy Archway and Fountain. Guests then gather in the Heart of the Garden Reception, where shaded forest, billowing drapery, designer gardens, blooming florals, historic trees, and trickling fountains create a romantic outdoor atmosphere before dinner and dancing continue beneath a grand tented pavilion adorned with elegant chiffon, crystal chandeliers, and personalized décor.

Our wedding at Twin Oaks by Trademark Venues was everything we hoped for. Morgan, our planner, was amazing and kept us informed every step of the way with timely responses and efficient coordination. The team showed incredible attention to detail, and we felt so welcomed from our first visit through the final moment of our reception. Twin Oaks is a charming garden venue that made our guests feel right at home, and the open space gave us the flexibility to create exactly the day we envisioned. Morgan and the entire staff followed through on every promise and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. There were a few fees and logistics that were not explained until later, however, we couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we'd recommend Twin Oaks to any couple looking for a beautiful, caring venue!

My husband and I had a gorgeous wedding retreat at Venture in September 2025. Our 3-day retreat allowed us to slow down with the people we love the most and share the beauty of the place we live (Northern California) with those traveling from afar (East Coast, France, Canada). Our wedding was entirely DIY, which gave us the freedom to customize the different moments to our liking. The glamping tents were wonderful. We did not have access to the indoor lodging in the main house (only the bathroom), and the event was still incredible. We filled all the tents and some folks stayed off-site. We loved our vendors and would be more than happy to share more information with those interested (BBQ catering from Oakland, Bay Area coffee truck, local Half Moon Bay caterer for dinner, local florist, killer DJ on Friday and band on Saturday, local photographer, etc). The wedding weekend could not have turned out better. We only have fond memories of this experience. We did most things ourselves (we made the drinks, we designed the paper, signage, etc., and we relied on our supportive community to help us where we needed it), mostly because we were on a very tight budget. We worked closely with our wedding coordinator to ensure all the pieces aligned. The folks at Venture did the best they could with the staff they had. Communication was sometimes a challenge; they had one staff member doing all the outreach and communication with prospective and existing clients. Ensure that you have a very organized/good coordinator and that there is sufficient staff for all of your needs. Ours coordinator and hired staff went above and beyond to ensure that I was not thinking about any logistics or challenges that arose during the weekend retreat. Overall, the venue was a delight. Nestled in the bosom of the coastal redwood forest. I would recommend this venue to any couple looking for something genuine, bespoke, and flexible. The weather was perfect, the air was perfect, the vibes were perfect!

My husband and I got married at Redwood Ranch in May of 2022. It was absolutely perfect! The hosts were great to work with, and even though it's in a remote location, we were able to find amazing vendors (with some suggestions from the hosts and some on our own) to create a weekend that was just perfect. It's such a magical place to share with your loved ones. We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding, and day after brunch all on property and just got to swim and play all weekend long. I wish we could do it again every year. It's truly a beautiful, special place that you and your guests will never forget.

You know how every Hallmark Christmas movie with a gay theme seems to star Jonathan Bennett? Well, we both felt like Jonathan Bennett in my own Hallmark movie - of course, during the summer, but you get the idea - during our recent wedding at Cambria Pines Lodge. You really have to go there to experience it - the grounds feel like a Hallmark movie in all the best ways - warm, inviting, joyful, and somehow familiar. If you want the true "Christmas in June" experience, just head on over to the garden, crafts, and Christmas store just off the property that's open year-round. We're looking forward to heading up for their Christmas market in the fall - we hear it's incredible. You have to trust me on this one - the whole place is really special. From the moment we first spoke with Judy, Michelle, and the team, they were incredibly supportive, flexible and friendly in helping us plan our dream wedding. The venue itself is charming, warm and inviting, creating such a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. They worked with us to stretch our budget across all the events, Ramiro and the banquet team accommodating our complicated beverage, gift bag, AV, and decor requests, mostly with ease. Most importantly, the Cambria Pines Lodge team took great care of our families and friends, ensuring everyone felt at home throughout our special weekend. We are so grateful for their incredible service and highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a truly memorable wedding experience.

Working with Meghan to plan our wedding at Convict Lake was a real joy. We had almost a year and a half to walk this road with her, and she was with us every step of the way. Meghan is calm, kind, and professional, and her way of working and communicating instills so much faith in what ultimately becomes a day that goes by so quickly. Meghan was patient and honest when it came to working through details and desires for our wedding day, and she was able to accommodate so much of what we wanted within the requirements of Convict Lake and the National Forest land it leases. Convict Lake Weddings underwent a tough and unexpected transition during our planning period, and Meghan handled it with so much grace and capability. We always knew we were in great hands with her, and the wedding day was more beautiful than we could’ve imagined. We got married in the Aspen grove, and our loved ones described this as feeling like a ‘magical fairytale’. The wedding tent felt cozy and enchanted thanks to many incredible local vendors. The food was absolutely incredible, and everything went smoothly. Meghan checked in with us often and was the person with amazing energy and expertise you want to have by your side on a day like this. If Convict Lake is special to you, we overwhelmingly recommend getting married here.

The choice of WhisperTree as our wedding venue was the absolute best decision we made in planning our sacred ceremony. We could not have asked for a more ineffably perfect setting—the gorgeous land, the incredible staff, and the rustic chic decor created the perfect atmosphere for the conscious California retreat wedding of our dreams. The land and property is absolutely gorgeous. You have access to a beautiful historic mansion with a beautiful backyard and hot tub, a rustic-yet-upscale barn with glimmering string lights, a charming riverside cottage, a gorgeous yurt where we hosted a soundbath and yoga, absolutely stunning glamping tents, and breathtaking trails. The entire weekend, all our guests kept noting how beautiful the property is, and how carefully and thoughtfully maintained. You can tell love and intention was put into every single piece of furniture, and there are incredible amenities, including rain boots, umbrellas, blankets for chilly nights, and so much more. We felt help, taken care of, and very grateful for the opportunity to host our unforgettable event here. The staff is top notch, and always available to assist you with any needs you may have. Everything is perfectly organized, so it made wedding planning as breezy as possible. Tess and the rest of the China Peak crew did an exceptional job at our wedding. On the day of my wedding, we realized the rental company forgot to deliver the chargers for the table settings. Tess sent one of her employees all the way to Fresno and back to get them and made it all seem like it was no big deal. Also, I tend to be a little camera shy and Tess did a great job of making me feel comfortable and directing us in a way to get great photos!

About wedding venues in California

California offers an incredible 840 miles of coastline, 3,000+ wineries and ancient redwoods for your wedding day. When you choose the Golden State, you're getting exceptional natural lighting for your ceremony across diverse settings from Mediterranean coastal zones to alpine mountain backdrops. Each region has its own distinctive character that can perfectly match your vision.

What Makes California Wedding Venues So Special?

Northern California's Napa Valley welcomes you with rolling vineyards and Spanish colonial architecture where intimate wine cave ceremonies create unforgettable moments. Head to Southern California and you'll find oceanfront venues like Duke's Malibu where you can exchange vows with the Pacific stretching out behind you while enjoying fresh coastal-inspired cuisine. Palm Springs offers dramatic desert venues with mountain backdrops and striking midcentury modern architecture that photographs beautifully.

How Much Do Wedding Venues in California Cost?

Wedding venues in California typically run between $9,600 and $11,700 which aligns nicely with the national range of $6,500-$12,000. This represents about 18% of your total wedding budget. You might also consider Holman Ranch Sunstone Winery and Villa del Sol d'Oro though you'll want to directly confirm their specific accessibility features when you visit. Accessibility options have improved greatly across California venues in recent years.

When Should You Book Your California Wedding Venue?

October leads venue inquiries in California with couples typically booking venues about 13 months (400 days) before their wedding date. If you're dreaming of a Northern California wine country wedding during peak season you'll want to book up to 18 months in advance. Southern California venues offer more flexibility especially during winter months when you can still enjoy beautiful weather while potentially securing better rates.
