The Bodega Bay Secret Gardens blends modern elegance with a rich local history. Once known as Compass Rose Garden, the venue was founded over 50 years ago by Donna Cook Freeman, a beloved community figure who transformed the land into a gathering place for celebrations of every kind. We proudly continue that tradition today, offering a beautiful, fully equipped wedding & events venue designed to bring your vision to life, whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony or a lively reception.

Focus on the joy of celebrating and connect with close family and friends in an intimate setting. This package is ideal for microweddings, elopements, private vows, and other meaningful ceremonies. Rehearsal time is included on the Friday prior to your event based on availability. Rental period is 11am - 11pm on event day.

Love the atmosphere they give, Christianity is felt in the air and im happy they don’t include Queer people, just like we respect them they should respect our boundaries of not marrying them because of religion

My husband and I had our wedding at The Secret Gardens in April 2026 and it was the most spectacular experience. Donis is a lovely and very capable property manager. He made himself available to us whenever we needed and while no wedding is perfect, he worked extremely hard to ensure our day was the best it could be. The venue itself is so magical and unique. I couldn't recommend this venue enough!

The Secret Gardens is a great venue with so much natural beauty. There is adequate space, parking, and accommodations that can be made to make the day special. Donis is an amazing host who communicates well, responds quickly, and has impressive work ethic. I would recommend this venue to everyone and anyone who wants to have a memorable event.
