About this venue

Hall of the Above is located in the historic Sonoma County National Bank, at the corner of Washington St and Petaluma Blvd N. This iconic building serves as the gateway to downtown Petaluma. As new tenants, we are thrilled to serve as stewards of this beloved landmark. The space is available for short-term rentals for just about anything…all of the above! We are also developing our own calendar of events and festivals that are open to the public inviting the community to enjoy this wonderful space. Our mission is to mobilize the full potential of the building in the service of Community.

    Hall of the Above is an amazing venue for your special day or any event. Diane truly made this experience for us. She had great communication throughout the entire planning process. She was also a huge help during our big day with coordinating and just overseeing our event. We are so grateful to have been able to have our wedding here and are so proud to be able to tell people we were able to get married in such an amazing town. Thank you so much Diane for everything. Hall of the Above rocks!!!

    Beautiful Event Space

    I’ve been to a few events here, and they’ve all been so fun and really well done. The vibe is great, super lively, and the staff is always friendly and on it. I love that there’s a new space in town that works for everything from weddings to dance nights and everything in between.

    Wow—what a night!

    We hosted an Anniversary Party at the Hall of the Above was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the energy was electric, the atmosphere elegant, and the celebration truly fitting for such a milestone event. I’ve been obsessed with the Hall opening, and it did not disappoint! We wanted to give our milestone anniversary recipients a wow-worthy experience, and the Hall delivered—blending historic charm with modern vibes in the best way possible. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts than Diane and Rod—their hospitality and attention to detail made the night seamless and special, right down to accommodating my light color change requests. We’re already looking forward to booking at Hall of the Above again! If you haven’t checked it out yet, do yourself a favor—you won’t regret it.

Parking is on the street and in local parking lots.
You must purchase a one-day event insurance policy. The terms and the vendor are specified in our contract. Proof of insurance must be sent to the Event Manager along with the balance due, 60 days prior to the event.
50% of the rental fee is required to save your date. Once you receive your contract, you will have 10 business days to return it with your signature and deposit. Balance is due 60 days prior to your event.
The maximum number of guests is 250. The maximum number for seated comfortably is 156. Sample floor plans and capacities can be found here.
Renters will have access beginning at 10 am on the day of your event. Events must end by 11:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and by 10:00 PM on all other days. Your caterer will have additional time to clean up.
Yes. We will send you a list of caterers upon request. Note that no food trucks are allowed.
We can provide 18 rectangular tables (3’x6’) for dining and round cocktail tables for standing, as well as 175 folding metal chairs for your use. If you’d like round tables or tables of other sizes or different kinds of chairs, they must be rented.
Yes. You may use low-tack masking tape, fishing line, or florist's wire. You may not use fastening devices that penetrate the wall surface.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. There are no stairs at the main entry, and the emergency exit has a ramp. We also have four accessible bathrooms, and an elevator to access to upstairs balcony and downstairs.
