Thank you for your interest in visiting Garden Valley Ranch! Garden Valley Ranch is a historic landmark in Petaluma that traces its origins back to the late 1800's. This working rose farm cultivates 8,000 rosebushes over five acres of beautiful fields and gardens. Our world renowned garden roses bloom from May through October. Landscaped plantings featuring roses on pergolas, columns, arches and carefully selected perennials, annuals and bulbs combine to create a truly magical setting. Garden Valley Ranch also enjoys a large koi pond, water fountains and numerous special events and arts & entertainment throughout the year. Plan a visit today!

Nestled amidst our birch forest, the Victorian era garden cottage is the perfect setting for bride and her party to do hair and make-up, champagne toasts and photos before the ceremony.

Depot Suite/Groom Room
Guests will leave with a bucket full of flowers and full hearts.
This former train depot is situated on our historic tree-lined trestle road. On the back side passengers used to load the electric railway that ran between Petaluma and Santa Rosa. The front entrance faces our main growing field which boasts over 5,000 roses. The depot suite also has two guest restrooms.

Secret Garden
It is with pride that we make our gardens available to a very limited number of happy couples every year celebrating their union and love
The Secret Garden is a hidden English manicured garden filled with fragrant plants, boxwood hedges and mature trees. Adjacent to the Belvedere lawns, enter the Secret Garden through a maze of towering hedges for that WOW factor. With romantic nooks, benches and a beautiful fountain, it is ideal for intimate ceremonies, cocktail receptions and photographs.

Carriage House Barn & Courtyard
From intimate elopements to milestone celebrations, Garden Valley Ranch is a uniquely charming and unforgettable locale to create lasting memories.
The Carriage House is a perfect setting for an indoor-outdoor experience. The ground floor is often used for cocktails, dancing and dining. Restrooms are also located on the first floor and are ADA accessible. The adjacent wraparound deck is perfect for cocktails and lounge seating. Bottom floor and outdoor spaces suitable for up to 150 guests. Bistro lights hang above.

A dramatic stone walkway aisle leads to a center lawn area with a Queen Anne Victorian Belvedere and brick patio, making this space ideal for outdoor wedding ceremonies, receptions and dancing. The view of the rose fields is spectacular.

Everything we hoped for and more
As I’m writing this, my husband and I are on our honeymoon, already reminiscing about one of the most beautiful days of our lives. Looking back, choosing Garden Valley Ranch was one of the easiest and best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning. After months of searching online, comparing venues, and requesting countless quotes, we knew we wanted one thing above all else: to be completely immersed in nature. Garden Valley Ranch was actually the first (and only) venue we toured. We visited in mid February, when most of the garden had been cut back for winter, yet we could still see just how magical it would become once everything bloomed. We said yes almost immediately. The fact that it was so reasonably priced for our guest count and well within our budget was simply an added bonus. The gardens themselves completely stole our hearts. We were married mid June of 2026, and the grounds were absolutely breathtaking. Honestly, I don’t think you can go wrong with any wedding date once spring arrives. Everywhere you turn is filled with color, texture, and natural beauty. There are countless locations for portraits, first looks, and quiet moments together. You couldn’t take a bad photo if you tried. One of my favorite parts of the experience was staying in the onsite Airbnb cottage the night before our wedding and getting ready with my bridesmaids in the Carriage House. It made the entire weekend feel relaxed, intentional, and so special. Our ceremony took place in the Secret Garden, which quickly became our favorite spot on the property. It was the perfect setting for an intimate ceremony, and we loved being able to transition seamlessly into cocktail hour in the same enchanting space. Throughout the evening, guest after guest told us it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever attended. The rose gardens are unforgettable. The entire property feels like walking through a storybook. Jessica was an absolute joy to work with from beginning to end. She was kind, responsive, and genuinely excited to help bring our vision to life. We also incorporated Garden Valley Ranch’s handcrafted rose hydrosol sprays as wedding favors, and they were a huge hit with our guests. Such a beautiful keepsake that allowed everyone to take a little piece of the garden home. I could go on and on about this venue, but if you’re looking for a place that feels romantic, peaceful, naturally beautiful, and doesn’t require excessive decorating because the landscape already does the work for you, Garden Valley Ranch is truly something special. Stunning Venue
We had our wedding at Garden Valley Ranch in May 2025 and had such a lovely day! The venue is truly spectacular - it caught our eye the moment we visited and we are beyond grateful that we were able to celebrate there. Jessica was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. She was so responsive to all our questions during planning and incredibly accommodating on the day of. She allowed us to work on our DIY florals in the garden shed the day before, met with our band and photographer to give them a tour and ensure that everything would be set up appropriately, and even provided parasols for our guests when it got sunny. We can't recommend Garden Valley Ranch highly enough - if you're looking for a stunning venue with an owner who truly cares about making your day special, this is the place. -Ben & Tish

Most amazing wedding
We were thrilled with our wedding venue, Garden Valley Ranch. Our venue host Jessica was a delight to work with - she was responsive, organized, and made the planning process smooth and stress-free. The venue itself is simply gorgeous, with lush rose gardens providing a romantic backdrop for our ceremony and reception. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran perfectly on our big day. From the beautiful floral arrangements to the delicious cuisine, every detail was executed flawlessly. Our guests are still raving about the venue weeks later! We wholeheartedly recommend Garden Valley Ranch to any couple looking for an idyllic setting with top-notch service for their special day. The venue and wonderful staff like Jessica made our wedding a fairytale come true we'll cherish forever.

One of a Kind Venue
Garden Valley Ranch is such a unique and beautiful venue. From the cute cottages on property for couples to stay the night or get ready in to all the unique different spaces to use like the Belvedere and Hidden Garden, this venue provides so much. Jessica, the owner, is so flexible and truly wants all couples that book with her to have the best day. Working with other vendors that have restrictions for set up and drop off, Jessica is flexible and accommodating. The grounds are maintained beautifully and the roses are stunning. This venue offers so much in beauty and really is one of a kind.

The Most Beautiful Sonoma County Venue!
This is my absolute favorite venue! It has all of the amenities you need for a wine country wedding, beautiful gardens and indoor/outdoor event spaces all designed and manicured specifically for weddings. Bonus! The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
