About this venue

Tucked in the Sierra foothills of Pollock Pines, Fairytale Elope is a dedicated elopement venue created for couples who want something simple, heartfelt, and surrounded by nature. The property features a year-round waterfall, a serene forest clearing, seasonal flower gardens, reflection pools, and a sweeping canyon overlook where sunsets stretch across the valley on clear days. We host intimate ceremonies—not full weddings—and welcome small gatherings of up to about 30 guests. Couples often wander the gardens, pick a few in-season blooms, and choose whichever space feels most like them. Dogs and babies are always welcome. Fairytale Elope is owned by Nate Feldman, an ecologist, photographer, and certified field biologist who built the venue around a love for the land. Photography and officiating are included, rescheduling is always free, and the experience is designed to feel calm, personal, and connected to the landscape.

    Highly Recommend!

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience with Fairy Tale Elopement. Nate was truly a godsend and made our private ceremony feel incredibly special. He provided a beautiful, intimate setting and genuinely cared about making our day everything we hoped it would be. From the moment we arrived, Nate was kind, helpful, and attentive to every detail. His passion for what he does really shows. He also has an amazing eye for photography and knows exactly how to use and manipulate the lighting to capture the most flattering, beautiful photos. If you’re looking for someone who will make your elopement feel personal, stress-free, and unforgettable, I highly recommend Fairy Tale Elopement. Thank you, Nate, for giving us memories we’ll cherish forever! Love, Jeff and Mercedes Wolf

    Beautiful Mountain Woods Venue

From the moment my wife and I reached out to Fairytale Elope, their communication was excellent, prompt, and professional. They responded quickly to all of our inquiries and were extremely helpful in walking us through the elopement planning process. On the day of our wedding, the Fairytale Elope staff were attentive and ensured everything ran smoothly. The venue itself was beautiful, intimate, and perfectly suited for our small ceremony. The waterfall area makes for the best photos, especially with the fall colors of oranges and yellows. We are so grateful to Fairytale Elope for making our special day exactly as we had envisioned it. We highly recommend their services to any couple looking for a stress-free, personalized elopement experience.

The perfect mountain spot to elope!

Fairytale Elope was the perfect venue for our intimate wedding! From the moment we reached out, Nate and his team were incredibly fun, energetic and easy to work with. The natural scenery and beautiful creek with a waterfall made for the perfect backdrop and soundtrack to our service. Nate was so welcoming and friendly to all of our guests. We also loved having the private "Bridal party suite" to get ready in, and the sunset views were absolutely stunning for our photos. Fairytale Elope truly is a little gem with everything you could want for an unforgettable wedding day. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

May, June, July, August, September, October. Those months the weather is generally nice enough to plan ahead for a ceremony. November-April I will take tentative bookings, with the understanding of the weather is bad weather will need to move the date back. In those cooler months I generally take the short-notice elopements when we can look at the 10 day forecast and know we’re good.
January, February, March, April, November, and December
In general NO, there’s no open bar or drunkenness allowed. That being said, if you bring a bottle of champagne for a toast, that’s ok, as long as it’s limited to just that.
Yes! But, we do have limited space. We park 5 vehicles easily, 10 with a bit of directing, and any more than that we should discuss parking nearby and shuttling a few people in.
Not fully, but we are always working to improve that. Currently there’s a few steps to get to the bathroom, and most of the property is on the side of a mountain. We have paved 1,000’ of the driveway on the property to ease wheelchairs getting to the more accessible ceremony sites, and it’s possible to drive a small vehicle down to the forest clearing ceremony spot to drop someone off. That being said, the property is mountainous and there’s significant slope. Please let us know your abilities and we make every attempt to accommodate guests.
You will have choice of the different areas (in season) for photography and your pick of site for the ceremony. We have a bridal dressing room, and small home available to get ready, I provide assistance setting up the site, and access to whatever supplies we have. We have 12 matched chairs available, and wood plank benches. We also have seasonal gardens you may pick a bouquet from (when in bloom), rugs, vases, and other supplies. Feel free to ask as my inventory changes often,
The base reservation package is 1 hour, which is perfect for those truly tiny elopements - just long enough to exchange vows and take some lovely photos. You may add additional hours of photography, venue time, and additional guests.
I understand that weather and life happen. In the spirit, I don’t penalize anyone for canceling or needing to reschedule. However, I do request that you do it as soon as you know and don’t leave me standing there on the day of. If I’m left standing at the altar, I charge for the minimum package.
We’re about one hour from Sacramento or an hour and a half from Reno. Technically there’s small airports in Placerville and Tahoe, but most people don’t fly into those.
Our venue is fully insured however I always recommend if a couple is bringing a bunch of guests that they get their own insurance to cover them as well.
Large crowds (30 person limit) Amplified music (an acoustic guitar, cello, harp, are all ok) Open bars (absolutely not! But, just enough bubbly for a toast is ok) Big formal dinners (you may do something picnic or family style, but we can’t handle food as we don’t have those licenses. Most people go to a local restaurant after their ceremony and photos) Fire (in general we don’t allow fire, as we are in a forest. Smoking needs to take place in a designated area on the driveway, but is discouraged) Hard drugs (absolutely not!) Underage brides (Sorry, NO) Stress (nope, not allowed)
Yes! Dogs are family. As long as you arrange that somebody has them under control at all times they are welcome.
We’re at 3939 Inagahee Road, Pollock Pines California. We’re about 1 hour East of Sacramento, one hour West of South Lake Tahoe, and about 2 miles off Highway 50. The property is private so make an appointment for a tour!
