    If you’re dreaming of a historic wedding venue that feels moody, romantic, and effortlessly cool, The Stone House in Nevada City is it! The outdoor patio creates the most intimate ceremony setting, surrounded by old stone ivy walls. Plus, it has a cave!! It’s perfect for cocktail hour or slipping away for an iconic photoshoot you’ll treasure forever. One of the most unique perks is that The Stone House is also a live music venue, which means you can tap into their existing sound system for your epic dance party. When the reception winds down, you and your forever person can retreat upstairs to the honeymoon suite… or keep the celebration going in downtown Nevada City just steps away. As a wedding planner, this is truly one of my favorite venues to support couples in. It’s intimate, unique, and full of character.

    We couldn't be happier with our experience at the Stone House! They worked with us and our budget and were very generous in finding creative ways to bring cost down while maintaining our vision. The food was over the top - better than imagined for cooking for such a large size party. Such colorful, nutrient dense and seasonal dishes! So many of our guests commented on the quality. The space is just gorgeous - perfect backdrop for photos. Also, the owner Jonathan Rowe did an epic job DJing for us. Highly recommend. We look forward to many date nights returning to the Stone House to reminisce and would love to have an anniversary party in their cave someday.

    The Stone House provides a wonderful wedding venue experience. Their communication style was excellent, with the event staff striving to create a seamless experience for their clients. From booking check-in meetings to menu tastings and layout design, they are attentive and helpful every step of the way. The venue itself is beautifully designed, and I was impressed by the quality of their work and the overall value they provided. The Stone House is currently revamping its events department, and I'm proud to be a part of making the perfect day for our clients.
