About this venue

Roses & Acorns Creekside Weddings is venue only rental located at Camp Nauvoo near Placerville, California offers all the natural beauty of the outdoors while keeping the convenience of an onsite lodge, kitchen and restroom facilities for weddings & receptions. We are located on year-round Weber Creek. We have an idyllic meadow featuring an amish gazebo and various arbors. We have a bridal room, lodge with cozy fireplace with AC/heat, large commercial kitchen, restroom and showers with flush toilets, wedding tables and chairs for up to 125 guests (50 cars) . We offer camping weddings including glamping tents, teepees, cabin tents, camp fire bowl, volleyball/ basketball courts. Our philosophy is to provide an affordable wedding venue that allows the bride to customize to her dream wedding. We offer limited availability in the spring and fall. Our specialty is camping weddings also in summer. We are a venue rental but have lots of vendor options available. May 1 - October 30th each year.

gorgeous camping wedding
From the moment we started planning, Laurie and Greg made us feel welcome and special. They were always on top of emails and answered our questions right away, which made the whole process so smooth. The venue itself is absolutely stunning – our guests are still telling us how gorgeous it was and what a beautiful place for a wedding. The Roses & Acorns staff helped us throughout the months leading up to our big day and the entire weekend of the wedding. Everything about the experience was well-organized, from the planning stages to the final details. We couldn't have asked for a better venue.

Wonderful Venue
Greg, Laurie and their staff (Racheal) are a pleasure to work with. So helpful and attentive to all our needs. My husband and I just had our wedding there and my I constantly tell people that it was a magical fairytale. From the fantastic scenery, lovely stream, and great weather...we couldn't have asked for a better day. All the guests had a good time and loved the camping!

Roses & Acorns Creekside Weddings @ Camp Nauvoo provided an exceptional experience for our wedding day. From the open and personal communication style of Laurie and Greg, to the affordable and well-maintained venue, they went above and beyond to make our day special. They were extremely personalized and accommodating, ensuring every detail was taken care of. Laurie and Greg were amazing to work with, and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue. We highly recommend Roses & Acorns Creekside Weddings @ Camp Nauvoo to any couple looking for a beautiful and affordable wedding experience.

We loved having our wedding @ Camp Nauvoo. We live outside the country so I wanted a place that could provide chairs, tables and a majority of the decor.(the owners have a lot of wedding stuff you can use!) I also wanted to be able to stay there and to be able to give those who flew in from around the world a place to stay as well. It worked out perfectly! 120 guests, with 38 choosing to stay on site. Those who flew from far away stayed in the glamping sites and those who lived in town brought their own supplies and camped. We also used their recommendation for dinner - fantastic Mexican food. 10/10 would recommend, would use again but hopefully I'm only getting married once, maybe a family reunion next time.

Absolutely Wonderful Wedding Experience
In 2021, I organized, planned, and coordinated my parents wedding with Roses & Acorns Creekside Weddings. The experience was fantastic from start to finish. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the information provided was clear and transparent, and the day was as magical as we had hoped. Greg and Laurie communicated effectively and quickly, supported many of our ideas and plans, and Greg was a compassionate and engaging officiant the day of the wedding. He took all of our ideas and suggestions to heart and made the day memorable. Greg and Laurie and other staff were gracious and supportive hosts and we couldn't have asked for anything more. It felt like we have known Greg for years, we were treated like family, and the setting and experience were exactly what my parents' were looking for. Friends and family gushed about the wedding and we wholeheartedly recommend the venue for anyone's special day!

We are seasonable due to location and most of our weddings are held during the spring ( May and June) and the fall (September, October). We will hold camping weddings during the summer months. We close between 11/1 and 4/1 each year.

Yes, we allow beer and alcohol. Use of hard alcohol requires a licensed bartender.

Yes, we can park 50 cars on site (eliminates basketball court). Additionally, we have vendors that can provide transportation from a local parking site.

We are closed November to March. We only have one month that is considered off seaon and that is April.

Not really. Our weddings have had those in wheelchairs but they are having to transport across the grass and meadow. We did invest in a handicapped porta-potty on site since our restrooms are not accessible.

We are primarily a venue rental and provide the venue, tables, chairs and various wedding trellis'. We also have many weddings items available to our couples including wine barrels, lanterns, etc.

We only do daily and weekend rentals. Daily rentals run 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Weekend rentals run from Friday at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday noon.

Booking fees for our venue, and all payments made including deposits, are non-refundable. Of course, if we cancel or if there is a disaster that prevents your event from taking place - we refund all fees.

We require a 1.0 M general liability insurance.

Yes, we require a $500 security deposit that is refunded within 7 days if the property is left in its original condition.

Yes, we require a $300 non-refundable cleaning deposit. The expectation is that the property will be left in it's original condition and we do a final disinfecting cleaning of the property.
