About this venue

The Tahoe Gal is an iconic 120 passenger paddle wheeler located in Lake Tahoe, California, The Tahoe Gal cruises daily to Emerald Bay and along the North and West Shores of Lake Tahoe. Our boat has a gorgeous upper deck and a spacious lower deck with a full bar, galley kitchen and seating for 60+. We can provide the linens, flowers and mroe to make the space extra special. We also offer our "Commodore Saloon", which is a private space for a group of up to 30 that you can rent during one of our public cruises. This is a great fit for a Bachelorette party, small rehearsal dinner or intimate wedding!

Commodore Saloon

A private, affordable space to enjoy a wonderful time out on Lake Tahoe

The Saloon sits on the top deck of the Tahoe Gal and is segregated from the wheelhouse of the ship by a large glass window. You may choose to watch the Captain run the ship through the window, or the window can be draped for privacy. The Commodore’s Saloon affords the opportunity to have a small private party on one of our regular Tahoe cruises, without having to rent the entire ship. The entire ship is air-conditioned, heated, and has four audio/video stations.

    Amazing experience

    North Tahoe Cruises - Tahoe Gal provided us with a spectacular venue for our wedding celebration. The staff's communication when we got on the boat was timely and professional, and they really cared about hosting our special day and making it smooth and joyful. The ample space and breathtaking views were incredible. The staff were attentive and friendly, and we appreciated them making an announcement to all guests that our party had the upper salon reserved. They helped orchestrate the timing of our wedding song and touched base with us beforehand to ensure all our needs were met. The salon was the perfect private space for our group, and we are so grateful to North Tahoe Cruises - Tahoe Gal for contributing to making this wedding day truly memorable.

    We took the evening dinner cruise and were very pleased how relaxing, peaceful snd beautiful it was out on the lake at this time. Not crowded at all and we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and music!

    I don’t really do booze cruises. But I’m so glad I did this one!! Mellow party vibe throughout. As you board you find a table—outside top deck, or inside top deck or inside lower deck. But people are always moving around so don’t sweat your choice. The crew takes your drink and/or food order—lots of rather delicious, light cocktails. Our weather and views were wonderful. Some fun commentary from the skipper, but only a few fun facts about what we were seeing on the shoreline, not a running monologue. I’ve thought about it, and I don’t see how these kind, friendly people could have done a better job. We were a family reunion party of 17, and we all had a really nice time. Oh, also, they let my 5 year old grandson drive the boat. We all lived to tell about it and he had a blast.

No, our venue is fully insured.
We offer corkage of $35/750mL or $25/12 pack of beer for items that we do not offer.
The closest international airport is the Reno-Tahoe airport which is about one hour's drive from the Gal.
All deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel your event within 30 days of your booked date, we will need to bill for the full amount of all estimated charges.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances, hearing-impaired fire alarm lights, and trained staff.
