We could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding! The ceremony lawn is absolutely gorgeous, and it was surreal to be married surrounded by lush flowers and towering bamboo. The reception space is beautiful and modern looking with beautiful lighting and an abundance of plants that make the area feel so warm and inviting. During the event and well after, our guests were gushing over how unique and picturesque our venue was! Our absolutely favorite part of the venue was working with Jonathan and Jessie! They are so down to earth, sweet and incredibly accommodating and felt like instant friends. If you are on the fence on hiring the Wedding Crashers, DO IT! They were a huge hit with our guests and now my husband and I are plotting ways to get some goats of our own! 10/10 Recommend having your wedding at The Brothers Ranch! You will have incredible pictures and beautiful memories that will last a lifetime!

MSR was by far our dream venue. Not only are the views and property absolutely stunning, but Scena and Susanne were incredible to work with. Wedding planning is hard and stressful, there’s always something you didn’t think of, but, believe me, Scena already has and has already worked it out for you. A God send Our family and us had so much fun staying here as well. We loved being able to stay for 4 days, wind down with our close family after the wedding, and relive the moments together. It truly makes the weekend more special when you don’t have to pack up and get out the very next day. I could go on and on about how wonderful our weekend was. I highly recommend MSR and working with Scena and Susanne. It’s worth the trust me!

We loved having our wedding at Canopy Grove by Wedgewood Weddings. The venue was beautiful, open, spacious, and modern - exactly what we envisioned for our special day. Taylor, our venue coordinator, was a dream to work with. Her communication was consistently helpful, responsive, and kind. She truly went above and beyond to understand our vision and make sure every detail was perfect. Taylor worked extensively with us leading up to the wedding, answering every question and accommodating all our requests, no matter how small. If you're a couple in the market for an intimate, beautiful, well run, wedding venue look no further than booking Forgotten Barrel. Being a mini rustic oasis tucked in a quiet residential track, off the beaten path, this venue (and its wine selection) will surprise you in the best way! We just had our wedding 4/24/26 and from beginning to end we had the best experience. We had explored the details of around 50 venues for our 80 guest wedding and FB offered the absolute best atmosphere and overall inclusive package to follow our budget. Being you do have the option to a la carte the venue, I highly reccomend their inclusive package. Including catering options from Chef Joanne, Donut Hello dessert cart, month of coordination, a variety of optional decor to utilize, DJ Frank, bridal and groom suites and of course an unlimited wine/beer/seltzer/non alcoholic bev bar. The venue coordinator Alyssa, event coordinator Libby, DJ Frank, Paolo from donut hello, and the rest of the FB staff were just 5 stars in making our day a success. Our guests even 2 weeks later have not stopped raving of having the best time. They loved the food, the music, and the overall vibe of the venue. Some said the best wedding they've been to. So again, if youre looking to host your wedding or any event 100 guests or under please consider Forgotten Barrel. You will be happy you did!

Topo's Restaurant Bar & Banquet Facility was a great venue for our wedding celebration. The communication with the staff, particularly Jorge was generally good, but we did have to double check on a few things to ensure everything was just right. The space itself was intimate yet roomy, providing a nice atmosphere for our event. Jorge and the team made sure everything was nice and in order, contributing to us having an overall great time on our special day. If you want a fun wedding, go with CRC Ranch. My family could not stop raving about how fun the wedding was. It is a very convenient place to have a wedding as the ceremony site (lawn) is next to where the reception site is at (the barn). I had 225 people and we fit well. It was super convenient that there are air bnb houses on site. They are extremely flexible and allowed me to have two food trucks, a cigar lounge, a 360-video booth, a regular photo booth, and I was able to have my bridal party pass out beer during the ceremony. I also love that the venue provided lawn games such as corn hole, horseshoe toss, and had a fire pit for the people outside. Tracey is the venue coordinator and she was great. If I had any questions, she always responded quickly. I know there are some crazy bridezillas out there, yet she will still try her best to make you happy. If you didn't like Tracey, then you must be one of those ridiculous bridezillas because she was great to me. I had one of my vendors not show up at the time they said they would. Tracey noticed and immediately called them, so I didn't have to worry. The owner is Nick, and to book the air bnbs you have to message Nick. He is hard to get hold of, but if you can't, Tracey will be sure to get a hold of him. Tobi is the assistant venue coordinator and she was super sweet. The bar tenders that work for CRC Ranch were super friendly and awesome. The only cons is there are some dirt areas since it is a ranch, so be mindful when booking during the rainy seasons. I had my wedding 5/15/26 so it was sunny and perfect.

Choosing this venue was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the moment we first connected with the team, we felt supported, valued, and confident that we were in great hands. Every staff member we worked with was kind, knowledgeable, and committed to helping create a day that was uniquely ours. A feature we absolutely loved was the Borrow Barn. Having access to such a wide selection of décor made the planning process so much easier and allowed us to create the look we wanted without the expense and hassle of purchasing everything ourselves. It was an amazing resource and added so much charm to our wedding day. The venue itself is simply beautiful. The natural surroundings provided a stunning backdrop for our ceremony and photos, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous the property was. Everywhere you looked, there was another perfect view. What truly sets this venue apart, though, is the combination of its beauty and the incredible people behind it. Their attention to detail, responsiveness, and genuine care made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. We will always be thankful for the role they played in making our wedding day so memorable, and we highly recommend this venue to any couple searching for a breathtaking location and an outstanding team.

Scribner Bend Vineyards was one of the last wedding venues that we toured in March of 2024, and the moment we walked the beautiful grounds and got a feel for the flow of how our wedding day would look, we knew it was the perfect venue for us. We were luckily enough to lock in a Saturday in October of 2025. We not only fell in love with the natural beauty of the property, but we were impressed by how kind and welcoming all of the staff were (Shaye at the time and then Hillary), greeting us with their amazing signature almond champagne. Since we had over a year to plan our wedding, we were able to attend 2 wedding open houses hosted at Scribner Bend and the staff greeted us so warmly, remembering our names and making us feel right at home. We also got to know some of their incredible preferred vendors such as Jackie’s Flowers, Rain from Paesanos Catering, and the Elegant Events Media Team. They continued to be great to work with, super communicative, flexible, and open to any and all ideas that we had to execute our wedding vision flawlessly. Leading up to wedding day and at our rehearsal practice, the day of coordinator, Hillary, was so great and organized, making us feel at ease and confident for anything that wedding day could throw at us. Scribner Bend Vineyards could not have been a more stunning wedding venue. The Bungalow was a great spot for getting ready and it was so fun to hang out with the girls and watch the guests arrive through the window on the upper level of the house. The vineyard was absolutely gorgeous, golden hour in the vineyard was dreamy, guests loved all of the various seating areas throughout the whole night to chat with family and friends. The food was so delicious and well organized. The staff was all so friendly and accommodating (Hillary brought champagne for us after we walked back down the aisle before we escaped for our sunset photos, the Paesanos catering team fixed us plates of appetizers and dinner and set up our sweetheart table with everything that we needed). Our grand entrance through the barn doors onto the dance floor with the guests circled around the hedges was a major highlight, and the fountain filled with flowers was picture perfect. It has meant the world to us to hear that so many of our guests who attended our wedding have been telling us that it was the best wedding that they have ever been to. Overall, we would so highly recommend Scribner Bend Vineyards for anyone, we would 1000% get married here again. We will be recommending it to all of our friends in the hopes that one day we will get to be the guests at such an awesome wedding venue. Will add more pictures of the venue itself on our wedding day once we get more professionals back :)

Where to even start!? Miller's Landing was the most amazing venue starting from our initial visit when we first toured. They have been nothing but kind, patient, and helpful throughout the entire wedding process. My husband and I just got married in September 2024, and it was absolutely beautiful and everything we could have hoped for. We got married when the California fires had us all concerned that our wedding could even happen...Kellan, Terri, and the Miller's Landing team were especially amazing then. Kellan, the one I was in contact with the months leading up to the wedding was so responsive. She answered emails quickly and very thoroughly. She gave great suggestions and tips for our day. Terri, was so kind during the visits and made us feel at home right away. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and the barn makes for an intimate and warm reception. Our month of/day of coordinator Ashly was also amazing. She made sure everything ran smoothly the entire day. We did not have to worry about one thing the entire day, and it made the getting ready portion of the day so memorable and relaxing. Our cocktail hour/reception was so fun. The bartenders from R&B Mixing Co were awesome and had our guests happy. The appetizers, dinner, and late night snacks provided by Fox in the Woods (venues caterer) was absolutely delicious. We still have people telling us it was the best wedding food they have had. Overall, our wedding was truly the best day, and we just want Miller's Landing to know how much we appreciate them. We would recommend this venue a million times! My husband, is a wedding videographer and was very picky when we toured wedding venues, and his expectations were met and exceeded. Thank you Miller’s Landing! photo cred: @brettandtori

Had an amazing 8 nights stay at Happy Hills Farm! The grounds are so gorgeous with all of the trees - kumquat, lemon, orange and avocado. The property surrounded by beautiful flowers. The hosts were the nicest people and their two young children were such a joy. We were so very comfortable in our space. Beautiful setting in the upstairs barn. The setting is spectacular. We had 80 guests who came from all over and we had a beautiful October evening wedding. We were married in the driveway overlooking the San Juan Valley and Gablan Mountains, had our reception in the courtyard, and dinner by the pool. We brought in our own vendors (caterers, dj, photographer, florist) and MVR was very accommodating - always there to help, but not in the way. Our guests really enjoyed the town of San Juan and access to the Monterey Penninsula. We made a weekend of it! Best day ever.

Let me just start by saying what an amazing day and venue Hawk Ranch is for a wedding. When we were looking for venues, I didn’t want anything over the top — I just wanted something beautiful, natural, and stress-free. The moment we drove through the gates of Hawk Ranch, it felt magical. Then we met Crystal… and don’t even get me started on her! She was beyond amazing from the very beginning. She walked us through the property, explained exactly how the day would flow, and truly made us feel like we were in good hands. We planned our wedding for two years, and Crystal stayed in touch the entire time — checking in, keeping us calm, and making sure every little detail was handled. She coordinated with vendors, managed head counts (which I changed about four times after the due date!), and kept everything running smoothly so we didn’t have to stress. Seeing the venue transform from a blank slate into my dream wedding was unbelievable. The ceremony site was everything I imagined and more, and the reception and cocktail areas were laid out perfectly. Once the sun went down, the twinkle lights made the night absolutely magical. The Hawk Ranch staff, catering team, security, and bar were all incredible. Even when our dogs needed water during the ceremony, someone found a way to make it work using a tray — that’s the kind of care and attention they give. All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how stunning the venue was — many said it was the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever been to. If I could give Hawk Ranch 10 stars, I absolutely would. This place and the people behind it made our day perfect in every way.

As I’m writing this, my husband and I are on our honeymoon, already reminiscing about one of the most beautiful days of our lives. Looking back, choosing Garden Valley Ranch was one of the easiest and best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning. After months of searching online, comparing venues, and requesting countless quotes, we knew we wanted one thing above all else: to be completely immersed in nature. Garden Valley Ranch was actually the first (and only) venue we toured. We visited in mid February, when most of the garden had been cut back for winter, yet we could still see just how magical it would become once everything bloomed. We said yes almost immediately. The fact that it was so reasonably priced for our guest count and well within our budget was simply an added bonus. The gardens themselves completely stole our hearts. We were married mid June of 2026, and the grounds were absolutely breathtaking. Honestly, I don’t think you can go wrong with any wedding date once spring arrives. Everywhere you turn is filled with color, texture, and natural beauty. There are countless locations for portraits, first looks, and quiet moments together. You couldn’t take a bad photo if you tried. One of my favorite parts of the experience was staying in the onsite Airbnb cottage the night before our wedding and getting ready with my bridesmaids in the Carriage House. It made the entire weekend feel relaxed, intentional, and so special. Our ceremony took place in the Secret Garden, which quickly became our favorite spot on the property. It was the perfect setting for an intimate ceremony, and we loved being able to transition seamlessly into cocktail hour in the same enchanting space. Throughout the evening, guest after guest told us it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever attended. The rose gardens are unforgettable. The entire property feels like walking through a storybook. Jessica was an absolute joy to work with from beginning to end. She was kind, responsive, and genuinely excited to help bring our vision to life. We also incorporated Garden Valley Ranch’s handcrafted rose hydrosol sprays as wedding favors, and they were a huge hit with our guests. Such a beautiful keepsake that allowed everyone to take a little piece of the garden home. I could go on and on about this venue, but if you’re looking for a place that feels romantic, peaceful, naturally beautiful, and doesn’t require excessive decorating because the landscape already does the work for you, Garden Valley Ranch is truly something special. We would choose it again in a heartbeat. (Photos below are mostly by Rachel Rose Photography based in Reno, NV)

About wedding venues in California

California offers an incredible 840 miles of coastline, 3,000+ wineries and ancient redwoods for your wedding day. When you choose the Golden State, you're getting exceptional natural lighting for your ceremony across diverse settings from Mediterranean coastal zones to alpine mountain backdrops. Each region has its own distinctive character that can perfectly match your vision.

What Makes California Wedding Venues So Special?

Northern California's Napa Valley welcomes you with rolling vineyards and Spanish colonial architecture where intimate wine cave ceremonies create unforgettable moments. Head to Southern California and you'll find oceanfront venues like Duke's Malibu where you can exchange vows with the Pacific stretching out behind you while enjoying fresh coastal-inspired cuisine. Palm Springs offers dramatic desert venues with mountain backdrops and striking midcentury modern architecture that photographs beautifully.

How Much Do Wedding Venues in California Cost?

Wedding venues in California typically run between $9,600 and $11,700 which aligns nicely with the national range of $6,500-$12,000. This represents about 18% of your total wedding budget. Your overall costs will vary based on guest count: - 50 guests: $26,190 - 100 guests: $43,692 - 150 guests: $60,141 - 200 guests: $74,836 - 250 guests: $89,530 - 300 guests: $104,224

Which California Venues Are Fully Accessible?

The Griffith House features wheelchair-accessible pathways throughout its Spanish-style grounds including the private ceremony lawn and separate preparation spaces for couples. You might also consider Holman Ranch Sunstone Winery and Villa del Sol d'Oro though you'll want to directly confirm their specific accessibility features when you visit. Accessibility options have improved greatly across California venues in recent years.

When Should You Book Your California Wedding Venue?

October leads venue inquiries in California with couples typically booking venues about 13 months (400 days) before their wedding date. If you're dreaming of a Northern California wine country wedding during peak season you'll want to book up to 18 months in advance. Southern California venues offer more flexibility especially during winter months when you can still enjoy beautiful weather while potentially securing better rates.

Where Can You Find Exceptional Culinary Experiences in California?

La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla delivers impeccable service with menu options from lobster bisque to perfectly prepared steak. You'll love Vibiana in Los Angeles with its chef-driven menus served in a stunning restored cathedral setting.
