If you're looking for... ~ a rustic, farmhouse environment with quiet elegance ~ an open and inviting atmosphere ~ flexibility to stage both ceremony and reception in multiple spaces with ease of movement ~ an ADA-accessible venue with plentiful parking ~ a full kitchen and a bridal changing room ~ onsite tables and chairs for more than 100 dining guests... ... you'll love Live Oak for your wedding venue! At Live Oak, we put love at the center of all we do and welcome all committed couples to marry here. Built in 1916, Live Oak has beautifully maintained the original Farmhouse, Cottage, and Water Tower. Keeping with the early 20th-century farmhouse style, we've added two spacious buildings - Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary with 21st-century interiors, boasting shining hardwood floors for dancing. In addition, we have a beautiful Outdoor Sanctuary near the Water Tower with amphitheater seating, a 7-labyrinth, and a wooded picnic area - ideal for micro-weddings.

Modern, light-filled room with hardwood floors, many windows, and many lighting options for evening events.
Ideal space for combining ceremony and reception with tables and chairs for 125 guests with ample floor space for dancing. Excellent acoustics, state-of-the art AV booth, Zoom-capable. Tables and chairs included in the price.

The Cottage / Bridal Changing Room
Private space to relax and to change before/after ceremony.
This space is made cozy with sofas, table, library, and chairs. It has a coffee table and dining room table, full-length mirror, curtains, and blinds for privacy. There is a TV, but mostly it is a calm space for getting dress and doing hair and makeup.

Outdoor Sanctuary with Water Tower
Beautiful, calming and celebratory outdoor space ideal for photo ops and smaller gatherings.
The Outdoor Sanctuary is situated near the historic and picturesque Water Tower - great for photos. Amphitheater seating, a small hill with boulders and tree stumps that can be decorated with candles and flowers or used for seating. A colorful garland of flags and string patio lights make it festive. Our iron-rod archway can add an additional decorative and framing element. Picnic seating beneath Coastal Live Oak trees.

This 10-hour package accommodates up to 150 guests and includes the Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, Cottage, our full kitchen, and the Outdoor Sanctuary. Indoor dining in the Fellowship Hall or Sanctuary with some patio dining can flow into dancing in the other building. The Cottage serves as a space for changing and relaxing before the ceremony. The Outdoor Sanctuary is ideal for photographs and/or an added reception station. Capacity for both live music and DJ to orchestrate reception activities.

This 10-hour package offers access to the Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, Cottage, & full kitchen. Our Upper-Campus Package can accommodate up to 150 guests. A ceremony in the Sanctuary, followed by a reception that makes full use of the patio and Fellowship Hall makes this package versatile, spacious, and fun! In inclement weather, outdoor activities can be moved into the buildings. The Outdoor Sanctuary is excluded from this package.

Indoor Sanctuary Package

Our Indoor Sanctuary package includes access to our full kitchen and the terrace immediately outside the Sanctuary doors. Ideal for up to 125 guests, this space has ample room for a ceremony or service, dining, and dancing on our beautiful hardwood floors. Bring in live music or a DJ to enliven your reception or party. Buffet catering can be staged outdoors under the wide eaves of the Sanctuary. This 8-hour package includes an Event Monitor and access to our full kitchen.

Micro-Wedding Package

Peak pricing $1,000
This package for small parties allows you to choose between the Indoor & Outdoor Sanctuaries to host your wedding, depending on the season. An intimate ceremony or service, plus reception or party is possible in either location. This 6-hour package allows you to celebrate your love with up to 30 guests in a cozy, personalized setting. Our full kitchen is included. Additional hours can be added at $200/hour.

Gratitude Party
The joy-filled site is quite private, offering a gorgeous and versatile variety of spaces for special events, uninterrupted by quotidian life. The warmth of the Sanctuary transforms into an elegant dining area, concert venue or dance floor. Melanie, Danny and staff work behind the scenes to ensure a seamless event and are a joy to work with. Together with the staff, the site is a hidden gem in Santa Barbara and Goleta. It is a superb place for important milestone events!

The event staff were incredibly helpful and attentive to our needs from start to finish. The kitchen facility exceeded our expectations—beautifully maintained, well-stocked, and spotlessly clean. Creating our Whimsical Spring forward grazing table in such a well-designed space was a true pleasure. Our musical group has had several concerts at Live Oak over the past ten years. We love the rooms and grounds - it’s a lovely and clean venue and we always find the people involved are welcoming and helpful. Every event has been enjoyable -a 5 star spot for any occasion!

A beautiful atmosphere
We recently hosted a showcase event for our sound baths at Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Congregation and had such a wonderful experience. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and genuinely easy to work with from start to finish. The event space itself is absolutely beautiful and very versatile. It’s perfect for weddings, community events, retreats, and gatherings of all kinds. The property has stunning views, a peaceful atmosphere, and so many different rooms and spaces that can be used creatively for both large and intimate events. We truly appreciated how supportive and accommodating the team was throughout the process. We would gladly host another event here and highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a warm, scenic, and flexible space.

Cute, unique, event space!
I had the pleasure of attending an event recently here and it is such a unique space! It has several different areas that can be used and tailored to the type of event you are planning. The larger indoor area would work well for a reception, and even a wedding, although one of my absolute favorite parts of this venue is the gorgeous little zen garden, which would be my ideal spot for a ceremony. It's just a short walk down the hill and you're rewarded with a peaceful little oasis. Such a cool venue, had no idea it was there and hope to be able to be back to enjoy the venue again one day!
