The Redondo Beach Historic Library is a beach-front indoor-outdoor venue in Los Angeles with a capacity for 320 seated, and we’re currently booking Summer 2026 weddings and onward!
About this venue
Redondo Beach Historic Library is an all-season, full-service venue for stunning beachfront weddings and events. The Jewel of Redondo Beach, historic oceanfront venue adjacent to the Redondo Beach Pier. While enjoying your celebration at the Redondo Beach Historic Library, your guests hear the waves from the Pacific Ocean, taste delicious award-winning cuisine, and see the sun tucking behind the horizon at sunset, with ocean views throughout a historic landmark. Renovations in progress, expected remodel to be completed Spring 2026! From brand new windows and roofing to fresh exterior paint and stucco, to completely renovated indoor spaces and facilities. The Grand Hall
Our dining rooms host the most magical moments. Dining next to the dance floor allows for an energetic event flow.
With high ceilings and a view in every direction from the grand windows facing the ocean and park, this is the main level gathering space for receptions. With a central 19’x’19’ wooden dancefloor in the middle of the room next to the Veterans Park entrance. Beyond the dance floor is the ocean view west wing, ideal for a sweethearts table, cocktail tables, lounge seating, and/or an indoor bar setup.

The North Lawn
The Redondo Beach Historic Library's North Lawn is ideal for couples looking for an ocean view ceremony with a capacity up to 320 guests.
Our sprawling grass lawn area is north of the Library and closest to the Pier, with an incredible view of the ocean and partial shade provided by two trees.

The West Lawn
The Redondo Beach Historic Library's West Lawn is ideal for both outdoor ceremonies and as an outdoor cocktail reception space.
On the west side of the Library with stunning unobstructed South Bay coastal views, the West Lawn Patio is a gorgeous space combining a grassy lawn and concrete walkway directly in between the library and the beach.

Amazing New Venue in Redondo Beach!
I recently toured the Redondo Beach Historic Library and it was just perfect! The space itself is charming, with multi-functional areas, great lighting, neutral decor and high ceilings that allows clients to customize the look and flow of their event. They provide extensive catering services and have getting ready suites and multi-use spaces that can accommodate a ceremony, cocktail-hour, and reception. The venue's breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and amazing sunsets, as well as the great indoor and outdoor spaces for photography, makes it the perfect backdrop for any celebration.

The library is back! If you can score a date here, don’t hesitate! The Redondo Beach Historic Library is an exceptional wedding venue that combines historic charm with modern elegance. From the moment I toured the venue while it was undergoing renovations, I was impressed by their knowledgeable and focused approach to providing a high level of service and experience. The beachfront location offers the best of both worlds, with the historic charm of the building complemented by the newly renovated modern aesthetic. Run by MBM Hospitality, you can rest assured you’ll receive the same quality and attention to details as you’ll find at La Venta Inn, ensuring a smooth flow and delicious catering. The Redondo Beach Historic Library is a unique gem in the South Bay, offering couples the opportunity to celebrate their special day in a truly one-of-a-kind setting. I can’t wait to catch the stunning Redondo Beach sunset from their newly renovation cocktail hour patio.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE! We love working with Made by Meg Catering on Private Events and at La Venta in Palos Verdes. MBM staff is always professional and their food is delicious. We were excited to see they’ve begun renovations for the Redondo Beach Historic Library as their next event venue by the water! SO COOL! Redondo Beach Historic Library is such a great event space with beachfront views. SO EXCITED FOR ALL OF THIS!

I had such a wonderful experience at this venue! The food was absolutely incredible — not only delicious, but displayed so beautifully. I’m so happy I had the chance to see the space before it goes under construction, and I truly can’t wait to see it once it reopens. The view alone is breathtaking; you get the perfect sunset right through the windows, and being a beachfront venue just makes it even more magical. Highly recommend!
