About this venue
Redondo Beach Historic Library is an all-season, full-service venue for stunning beachfront weddings and events. The Jewel of Redondo Beach, historic oceanfront venue adjacent to the Redondo Beach Pier. While enjoying your celebration at the Redondo Beach Historic Library, your guests hear the waves from the Pacific Ocean, taste delicious award-winning cuisine, and see the sun tucking behind the horizon at sunset, with ocean views throughout a historic landmark. Renovations in progress, expected remodel to be completed Spring 2026! From brand new windows and roofing to fresh exterior paint and stucco, to completely renovated indoor spaces and facilities. The Grand Hall
Our dining rooms host the most magical moments. Dining next to the dance floor allows for an energetic event flow.
With high ceilings and a view in every direction from the grand windows facing the ocean and park, this is the main level gathering space for receptions. With a central 19’x’19’ wooden dancefloor in the middle of the room next to the Veterans Park entrance. Beyond the dance floor is the ocean view west wing, ideal for a sweethearts table, cocktail tables, lounge seating, and/or an indoor bar setup.

The North Lawn
The Redondo Beach Historic Library's North Lawn is ideal for couples looking for an ocean view ceremony with a capacity up to 320 guests.
Our sprawling grass lawn area is north of the Library and closest to the Pier, with an incredible view of the ocean and partial shade provided by two trees.

The West Lawn
The Redondo Beach Historic Library's West Lawn is ideal for both outdoor ceremonies and as an outdoor cocktail reception space.
On the west side of the Library with stunning unobstructed South Bay coastal views, the West Lawn Patio is a gorgeous space combining a grassy lawn and concrete walkway directly in between the library and the beach.

GREAT EXPERIENCE EVERY TIME!
AWESOME EXPERIENCE! We love working with Made by Meg Catering on Private Events and at La Venta in Palos Verdes. MBM staff is always professional and their food is delicious. We were excited to see they’ve begun renovations for the Redondo Beach Historic Library as their next event venue by the water! SO COOL! Redondo Beach Historic Library is such a great event space with beachfront views. SO EXCITED FOR ALL OF THIS!
Can't wait for the Reopening!
I had such a wonderful experience at this venue! The food was absolutely incredible — not only delicious, but displayed so beautifully. I’m so happy I had the chance to see the space before it goes under construction, and I truly can’t wait to see it once it reopens. The view alone is breathtaking; you get the perfect sunset right through the windows, and being a beachfront venue just makes it even more magical. Highly recommend!
Beautiful Venue on the Ocean, Delish Catering
The Redondo Beach Historic Library is an excellent choice for a wedding or event venue. The space is large and open, providing great value for the cost, and the location literally right by the water was stunning, especially at sunset. I loved the views and the food when I attended the first event Made by Meg Catering hosted there in February 2025 before renovations, it was a candidate forum for the city of Redondo Beach, and I cannot wait to return for many more events after they finish construction in the near future!
