About this venue
440 Elm's classic Grand Ballroom creates a breathtaking backdrop for an elegant wedding. High ceilings, vintage 1920s grand chandeliers, original multi-story stained glass creates a feeling of lightness and space. Weddings here feel both classic and high energy, with music and dancing available until 1am on weekends. Built in 1913 by Elmer Grey (Beverly Hills Hotel), you can feel the craft of a major work featured in The American Architect (1914), Architectural Digest (1922). The full day exclusive reservation provides design and timeline flexibility. Indoor/outdoor ceremony + cocktail hour in passionfruit-walled Plaza and exposed brick Parlor. Bespoke menus draw on American, Asian, European, Indian, Latin, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern influences in any service format: incorporate family favorites, fuse cuisines across cultures, add a fun late-night snack. A cocktail-style wedding reception can be designed as more of a roaming experience that suits people who have already had a destination wedding and want a local reception or the more adventurous couple that doesn't want the traditional sit-down reception.
