Originally the brainchild and residence of James Oviatt, this exquisite venue embodies a legacy of celebration and vibrant energy. With a capacity of up to 120 guests, The Oviatt offers a spacious 2,714 square feet divided among six rooms, complemented by a two-level 4,703 square foot terrace. Backed by a dedicated team of experienced event managers, our newly revamped venue ensures a seamless journey from envisioning your special occasion to bringing it to life

Best wedding, best venue, best people
From first contact to the Big Day, the experience with the incredible people at The Oviatt was amazing. They’re friendly, supportive, accommodating, helpful, and just like NORMAL and COOL. The kinds of people you want to deal with all the time, the kinds of people you want to be friends with. That’s reason enough to book this place, but of course there’s the venue itself. It is GORGEOUS. It is so cool. Historic. Picturesque. It feels special to be there. And after looking around all over town, it is by far the best package in all of Los Angeles. The price includes so much that other venues simply don’t provide. We couldn’t have afforded to have a wedding this amazing anywhere else. I wish we could get married all over again and do it at the Oviatt. If I ever have any other events to plan, we’re absolutely doing it here. Thank you, Gabe, Lindsey and Cami! Love, Mariya & Spencer
The Stars Aligned at The Oviatt Penthouse
The search for our perfect wedding venue ended at the beautiful and historic Oviatt penthouse. The moment my husband and I walked in, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. Every single detail of this building is so intricate and breathtaking. Something that is so amazing about the Oviatt, is that the venue hardly needs any decorations. There is plenty of beauty everywhere you look. Gabe, Lindsey, and the rest of the team made us feel comfortable and taken care of throughout the entire wedding planning process. They were there to answer any and all of our questions via email and phone call if needed. They were flexible with us when we wanted to schedule walk-throughs with multiple vendors of ours. They made us feel welcome and made the entire planning process seamless. We highly recommend the Oviatt to anyone searching for their dream wedding venue.
The Oviatt Was Fantastic
We had our wedding last weekend at The Oviatt, and it could not have been better. The location is beautiful, and the staff were so incredibly easy to work with. Every single guest commented on how unique and cool the location was, and we really had the best time. I’d definitely recommend the Oviatt to anyone looking for a location.
Best DTLA Wedding Venue!
The Oviatt is a wonderful venue and it was such a pleasure working with Lindsey and Gabe! We knew during our tour that the Oviatt was the right venue for us. The size (for small-medium sized weddings), location, and character of the venue is really unparalleled. Then layer on top table and linen deal when you work with a preferred catering vendor and the Oviatt is the best deal in town! Gabe was very helpful during the touring and contracting phase. He communicates very clearly which made the process very smooth. There were no surprise charges at any point. The cost of everything was communicated very clearly upfront. Then, once we signed the contract, we worked with Lindsey, the director of events who supports the planning phase. Lindsey answered all of our questions in a timely and patient manner. She never hesitated to answer our questions, even when the answers to our questions were clearly outlined in the welcome packet! The event planning tools the team uses makes it incredibly easy to stay up on all of the planning details from floorplan to linen selections, to guest count - the tool handles it all with clear deadlines for each task. Finally, on the day of our wedding the Oviatt team executed the event so smoothly. Everything went off without a hitch! Our guests were so impressed by the venue. Quintessential LA rooftop vibe with art deco architecture. Such a treat. We would recommend the Oviatt to anybody looking to get married in the downtown area. The Oviatt is reasonably priced, the staff are incredibly professional and reliable, and are just nice people. We are forever grateful to the Oviatt staff for helping us have our perfect wedding!
