An event at Flora presents itself polished and turnkey with features like wainscot walls, custom doors, and bespoke furnishings. Visualize lofted ceilings, a 70-foot long living wall, two 12-foot custom skylights, hanging garden chandeliers, and over 130 plants. The amenities give the venue a life of its own with a state of the art sound system, wooden house tables, chairs, movable partitions, and built-in color LED lighting. To top it off, Flora blends an entirely renovated interior with original, exposed wood beams from its initial construction in 1922 as a tribute to our past.     The Dream Team That Made Our Wedding Effortless

    Working with Flora San Diego was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our first interactions with the team through the wedding day itself, everything felt organized, relaxed, and incredibly well taken care of. We especially want to recognize Jameson, Erin, and Sydney from the coordination team. They were absolutely fantastic. They were attentive without ever being overwhelming, incredibly responsive, and seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even had to ask. They gave us so much peace of mind throughout the planning process, and on the wedding day, we truly felt like we could step back, enjoy ourselves, and let them handle everything. What really stood out to us was how much they genuinely cared. They have a way of making you feel like more than just another couple they are coordinating for. We quickly felt comfortable with them, and by the end, it honestly felt like we had made new friends. The way the Flora team worked alongside all of our other vendors was also exceptional. Everyone communicated so well, supported one another, and worked together seamlessly. That level of teamwork made the entire day run so smoothly and created such a positive atmosphere behind the scenes. Most importantly, Flora allowed us to be fully present on our wedding day. Instead of worrying about timelines, logistics, or the little things that inevitably come up, we were able to focus on each other, our family, and our friends — and that is something we will always be grateful for. Jameson, Erin, Sydney, and the entire Flora team, thank you for putting so much care, energy, and heart into our wedding.     15/10 no notes!

    THIS PLACE IS A 15/10, I AINT PLAYIN. This venue and staff left me in AWE. We only toured one venue and after meeting Katherine, I knew they were the one. The entire process (it was a year and a half in advance so a ton of planning) was seamless. It's funny because I see these brides on TikTok talk about "what went wrong at my wedding" and truly... NOTHING went wrong. Jameson was a standout star and although I had a clear vision, he was the executor. I absolutely loved Sydney & Erin too who came on later but were still amazing and were in lockstep with our vision. I recommend this venue to ANYONE who will listen. It's also downtown so easy for after party spots and fun for out of town guests. The drinks were flowing, Mexican food was top notch, and the staff from Flora were 15/10 and made sure it all ran smoothly. If you do decide Flora, I highly recommend booking the coordination as well! Every vendor they recommended did NOT disappoint.

    Thank you Flora for making our day perfect!

    Working with the Flora team has been an absolute pleasure and they went the extra mile to ensure that our Wedding was everything we planned it to be. When we first toured the venue, immediately Katherine (owner) took the extra step that we didn't see across other venues to truly welcome us. Other venue tours felt transactional, Katherine/Flora worked with us with genuine interest and warmth from the moment introductions began. Beyond Katherine, our coordinators Sydney, Erin, and Jameson answered our (many) questions with grace and professionalism, and helped us map out the vision of our wedding every step of the way. Additionally, they exhibited their expertise throughout, giving us recommendations or considerations we had not even thought of, which we were then extremely grateful for afterwards. The day of the wedding, their communication not only with us but all vendors involved was perfect. Even when we had a 30 minute adjustment to our timeline, they handled it with ease and coordinated everything perfectly, allowing us to simply enjoy and revel in being newlyweds. There wasn't a single minute we had to worry or wonder, they had it all under control. Lastly, the venue itself is beautiful and highly customizable. Guests particularly commented on the lighting changes (we had 8, apologies again to staff), magnificent frosted glass windows, and overall impeccable ambience throughout. You will not be disappointed with the options available. Having our wedding at Flora truly paid off in every imaginable way. Our only regret is now that the wedding is over, we will likely not have more opportunities to interact and plan with the staff in the future. Thank you again to Katherine, Sydney, Jameson, and Erin, we are truly grateful for all that Flora provided.

    Seamless Wedding Planning in Downtown San Diego

    How lucky am I to get married where I work! As someone who works weddings every weekend, it was surreal to finally be on the other side and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience than with Flora The Venue. I might be a little biased, but the coordination team is genuinely top-tier. A huge thank you to Jameson, Jade, Ash, Angie, and Adam for making my husband and myself feel so supported and celebrated every step of the way. Most of all, I’m so grateful to Katherine, Flora’s owner, for her constant support, guidance, and generosity throughout the planning process. From start to finish, I felt taken care of not just as a client, but as part of the Flora family. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the venue’s lush greenery and stunning ambiance, many said they never expected such a magical space tucked right in the heart of downtown San Diego.     Perfection.

    Flora was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our first interaction, they were honest, quick to respond, and incredibly kind. The quality of their work was gorgeous and truly unique - they kept everything moving seamlessly throughout the day. The Flora team was professional both before and during the event, and worked with us every step of the way to make our special day perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue, and highly recommend Flora to any couple looking for a beautiful, stress-free celebration. Anything decor you bring in will SHINE in this venue.

We do not have our own parking, but do have lots of parking options. 1. We offer the option to our clients to get valet parking 2. Guests can self-park in one of eight walkable lots/parking garages 3. pre-paid parking vouchers for guests at 1 of 2 parking structures
We do not have our own catering team. We have a fully equipped kitchen and you are welcome to bring in a caterer of your choosing. We are also happy to refer caters we know and love that have worked at the venue.
Yes, all vendors and clients must provide event liability insurance.
Flora does not have a required vendor list. We love meeting new vendors.
