Bendiciones

My partner and I’s venue search ended the second we ascended in the historical elevator to the penthouse of the James Oviatt Building. The Oviatt venue is a multifaceted piece of beautiful Art Deco history that lends itself well to whatever event you are trying to throw. In our case, they hosted our wedding. We will forever be grateful for their immense care and kindness leading up to, on, and after the big day. We met the President Gabe first, who had his own wedding at this venue before he managed it. He made us feel right at home and answered every question we could muster. Our one hour showing turned into a two and a half hour conversation where his care and passion for the venue and his clients became very clear. We felt a connection right away. He shared a wealth of great advise and reassurances and gave us an impeccable pool of preferred vendors. We were sold in minutes. Every event is different, but my partner and I did not feel the space needed any help to become beautiful. The architectural art of the space is breathtaking and unique from the valet area outside of the Cicada Club all the way to the terrace. We saved a fortune on a florist. Who needs one when everything is already so classy? Speaking of class, the Director of Events Lindsey took point on execution and was our resource during the planning process. I as an individual am not the most communicative. I needed someone with that attention to detail and she delivered. After giving her all the venue required specifications (seating chart, insurances, etc,) two conversations was all it took for her to equip the venue with everything it needed and make it gorgeous. It seemed effortless for her. Not a spec of dust or dirt to be seen and the staff was respectful, efficient, and welcoming. I had a panic attack because I forgot to ask them for valet and she was able to get her people on it without issue the same week as the wedding. (Don’t be like me, but that is a perfect example of how on top of it they are.) They had EVERYTHING we could have wanted for a downtown metropolitan wedding and then some. If they didn’t have it? They knew exactly where to refer you. One of my personal favorite features was their completely customizable LED lighting strips on the hedges that lined either side of the rooftop. We had them a bright warm light for dinner and then a cycle of rainbow colors for dancing. They are inclusive and welcoming to any and all who come to visit. We felt valued, respected, and well cared for. It truly was the best day of our lives and we owe it all to The Oviatt. I implore to to reach out to them. I can say with certainty that you won’t be disappointed and whatever it is you are planning will become a memorable experience unlike any other.

My fiancé and I had the most incredible experience touring this venue! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how stunning the space is—pictures truly don’t do it justice. Every corner feels like it’s been pulled from a fairytale. What made it even more special was meeting Sabrina, the new manager. She is warm, passionate, and incredibly detail-oriented. You can instantly feel how much she cares—not just about the venue, but about your vision and experience. She walked us through everything with so much enthusiasm and clarity that we left feeling completely confident and inspired. The new owners, Sabrina and Chase are not just maintaining the beauty of the venue—they're investing in thoughtful, meaningful upgrades that make the space even more magical. From landscaping to layout improvements, it’s clear they want every inch of the venue to feel perfect for their couples. We feel so lucky to have found this place and to be working with such a dedicated, and talented team. If you're considering this venue—don’t hesitate. You’ll be in the best hands!!

All of the event staff were also amazing and contributed to making our special day beautiful. We could tell how dedicated the staff was to making sure everything went smoothly for us. The location is stunning and the venue is exactly what we had hoped for - our photos turned out amazing and we're so grateful we chose The Mountain Terrace! We struggled to find a venue that would allow us to do just a morning ceremony there since we were having our reception somewhere else. The Mountain Terrace was just what we needed! I would highly recommend this venue.

My husband and I have both been training in medicine for the past few years so were quite worried about pulling off a nice wedding given how little time we could dedicate to planning. We are SO grateful to Wedgewood Carmel for our amazing experience! Planning was so straightforward and relatively stress free. We toured the venue once (and had a great time, as the staff there are excellent and very helpful), and then from there received a binder in the mail and a series of scheduled phone calls to keep us on track (these were easy to arrange and reschedule which was super helpful since I often didn't what my schedule would be like in a month or two). We had a list of vendors to reach out to (cake, florals) who were also all phenomenal and overall it was fun to just tick of each box. We did not end up needing an outside wedding planner which was fantastic! We were slightly worried that we wouldn't be able to customize as much for the wedding- but we actually got to pick a LOT of the details, and then Wedgewood was very great about letting us bring our own decor and flair to the wedding, and was very supportive (for example, I brought a lot of ceramics to give away and had a plushie toss, and they were able to incorporate this super easily). We were able to customize our menu from a wide range of choices, make our own signature drinks, etc. The weekend of- Alycia and Ashley were phenomenal. Alycia helped us do rehearsal and organize a bunch of people who had just gotten off long plane rides, and simplified everything so that we were all reassured. We went through our day details (which we had also done on the phone) and dropped off our decor, and that was it! Our actual wedding day was beautiful- our ceremony was outside with gorgeous weather in October. The oak trees were a really nice place to take post-ceremony photos and at the very end of the day we went to the nearby beach (which you could also use for a beach wedding) to take photos. All the decor was laid out by Alycia/the staff beautifully, the food was excellent (Ashley brought us a plate with all the food, which was greatly appreciated since we otherwise wouldn't have eaten). The DJ was very good, the photographers (we used the recommended API photographers) were excellent- all in all, we had an amazing day and everything went smoothly, and people seemed to have a good time. We couldn't be more happy! Definitely recommend Wedgewood (especially to those who are very busy).

Redwood Canyons by Wedgewood Weddings is a venue I would highly recommend. When I was looking for a place to have my wedding I kept coming back to Redwood Canyons based initially on how beautiful the ceremony site was in the pictures. After doing some research I saw that the venue offered packages based on budgets that would help provide everything else we would need. I went for the first meeting and met with Allison. Allison ended up helping us through out the planning and day of process. She was wonderful. Allison explained all the packages and helped me customize one to fit my needs and budget, I did not have to have anything I didn’t need and I got everything I wanted for the budget I had. I was a little concerned that only having 3 months to plan the wedding would make things hard but Allison said no problem and it was not a problem. The wedding we perfect. Guests are still talking about how good the food was and how beautiful the Ceremony and Reception locations was. I would and have recommended this venue to friends and family. They will take are of all your needs and take the stress of wedding planning from you.

They were quick to respond to our questions and gave us detailed information about everything we needed to know. The property itself is gorgeous—clean, spacious, and set up to welcome all our guests comfortably. What really impressed us was how flexible and resourceful they were throughout the planning process. They helped us with vendor recommendations, offered to transport guests via golf cart around the venue, and even entertained everyone with their animals, which was a huge hit. Jessie and Johnathan were easy to work with and their experience really showed in how smoothly everything ran on our wedding day. We can't thank Brothers Ranch enough for making our wedding day so special!

Let me start by saying that the Secret Garden and the Epic Coordination team made all of my wedding dreams come true! I recently got married at the Secret Garden on April 28th, 2024. It truly was the most magical day of my life not just because I was marrying my soulmate, but because of the amazing coordination team that made our vision come to life. It was the first venue that my husband and I looked at, and we immediately fell in love with it. We loved that it was a beautiful indoor and outdoor garden venue, but we also loved how they offered an all-inclusive wedding package. They have a list of recommended vendors, including DJ, caterer, florist, photography/videography, and so much more. They give you the option to choose a vendor that they don't have on their recommended list, but we did everything through them and I wouldn't have had it any other way. They really offer the best-of-the-best professionals that know exactly what they're doing. A special shoutout to our coordinator, Laura, for being so organized and making sure everything was perfect on our big day! When it came to the day of the wedding, the entire timeline flowed seamlessly. None of the guests were left waiting around or wondering what was going on because the coordination team was so on top of everything! Everyone at our wedding, including myself and my husband, had an amazing time. Another thing to mention was that the communication with the Secret Garden and their team was beyond excellent! Any question I had, they answered promptly and made sure that the planning process was seamless. I had an enjoyable experience planning our wedding thanks to the support from the Secret Garden and Epic team! To conclude, my wedding day at the Secret Garden was literally the happiest day of our lives! It couldn't have been more perfect. If you're envisioning a fairytale garden wedding like I was, choose this venue!

The Retreat By Wedgewood Weddings was an absolute dream venue for our wedding day. From the very beginning, their team was incredibly easy to communicate with and replied to all of our questions thoroughly. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning outdoor area that overlooks the rolling hills of Corona. They also have a great indoor space that was perfect for our reception when the weather turned chilly. On the day of the wedding, the staff was incredibly accommodating - when it got unexpectedly cold, they immediately brought in two space heaters to keep us warm at the sweetheart table. We held our wedding reception at Saratoga Springs in the Cathedral Grove region of the venue on a Saturday in October. After visiting them for a walkthrough, we booked this venue about a year and a few months in advance. This was the first venue we visited and we fell in love! We felt a great family-like vibe from the staff, starting with Jennifer who coordinated our initial booking and tour. Throughout our time preparing for this event, Olivia and Sam were extraordinary in their communication, response time, and knowledge of these events. They did a wonderful job in helping us understand what we needed vs. what we wanted and good decisions to make. They never tried to upsell us on more expensive options, always letting us know the best value for what we wanted. Throughout this process, we knew we had made the right choice in terms of staff. Scenically, Saratoga Springs is stunning! An outdoor venue with several different species of large trees like oaks and redwoods, many small creeks that run through and around the venue, and several amenities included such as lights that wrap around the trees, a firepit, and artificial turf that you can actually wear high heels on! We were in love with the scenery immediately because our reception was LOTR/Legend of Zelda themed and this was perfect for us. Throughout the actual event, the Saratoga Springs staff was excellent. They assisted us and our own day of wedding coordinators in running the event and making sure we had everything that they could provide. Our reception was during a brutal heat wave in the Bay Area, but Cathedral Grove had so many large trees that the shade they provided meant the floor never got hot and it felt more like 75 degrees which was SO essential for the comfort of ourselves and our guests. Everything was great, and we give the venue and their staff a 10/10. There was one glaring issue we want to address. The DJ we booked, Paul Dominguez, was a very nice man. He seemed to be on top of it, being in constant communication with us leading up to the event. We felt that he was going to do a great job. Yet, when it came time for the event, he made SEVERAL mistakes in what we asked him to do that we felt the need to address this situation and performance. He is part of the approved vendor list for DJs but we honestly feel Saratoga Springs needs to either reevaluate him or discuss this with him because literally everything else about the night was perfect for us, except him. Again, he is a nice guy and even provided cold sparklers for us for free which we really appreciated, but the lack of attention to detail in several aspects of this night was something we felt we needed to address here. Overall, Saratoga Springs is an excellent venue choice for a big event like a wedding/reception and we are happy to recommend anyone looking for a venue. We had an amazing experience for our reception and we are very satisfied with the staff and scenery of this venue.

Gosh we love them. They were life changing! Our initial tour with Corina was so phenomenal and she sold us immediately. All of our planning meetings throughout the process were well organized and prepared and we always felt heard and supported. Our day of coordinator, Robert, was absolutely incredible!! He was so calm and cool before the ceremony and then helped us amp it up to an insanely fun celebration afterwards. Can’t say enough good about him. Even our friends and family were saying amazing things about him throughout the night and the days to follow. DJ maestro (the included DJ package) assigned us the best DJ ever (DJ Gerald) and he created such a fun atmosphere for the dance floor. He also crushed it with balancing MC’ing and nailing all the cues. Esteban was our late night banquet captain and he was so amazing, really attentive and kind. Moments in Bloom KILLED IT and gave us the florals of our dreams as well. Overall, we genuinely cannot even express how happy we were with our wedding day and night and the entire process leading up to it and that is all thanks to Wedgewood.

About wedding venues in California

California offers an incredible 840 miles of coastline, 3,000+ wineries and ancient redwoods for your wedding day. When you choose the Golden State, you're getting exceptional natural lighting for your ceremony across diverse settings from Mediterranean coastal zones to alpine mountain backdrops. Each region has its own distinctive character that can perfectly match your vision.

What Makes California Wedding Venues So Special?

Northern California's Napa Valley welcomes you with rolling vineyards and Spanish colonial architecture where intimate wine cave ceremonies create unforgettable moments. Head to Southern California and you'll find oceanfront venues like Duke's Malibu where you can exchange vows with the Pacific stretching out behind you while enjoying fresh coastal-inspired cuisine. Palm Springs offers dramatic desert venues with mountain backdrops and striking midcentury modern architecture that photographs beautifully.

How Much Do Wedding Venues in California Cost?

Wedding venues in California typically run between $9,600 and $11,700 which aligns nicely with the national range of $6,500-$12,000. This represents about 18% of your total wedding budget. Your overall costs will vary based on guest count: - 50 guests: $26,190 - 100 guests: $43,692 - 150 guests: $60,141 - 200 guests: $74,836 - 250 guests: $89,530 - 300 guests: $104,224

Which California Venues Are Fully Accessible?

The Griffith House features wheelchair-accessible pathways throughout its Spanish-style grounds including the private ceremony lawn and separate preparation spaces for couples. You might also consider Holman Ranch Sunstone Winery and Villa del Sol d'Oro though you'll want to directly confirm their specific accessibility features when you visit. Accessibility options have improved greatly across California venues in recent years.

When Should You Book Your California Wedding Venue?

October leads venue inquiries in California with couples typically booking venues about 13 months (400 days) before their wedding date. If you're dreaming of a Northern California wine country wedding during peak season you'll want to book up to 18 months in advance. Southern California venues offer more flexibility especially during winter months when you can still enjoy beautiful weather while potentially securing better rates.

Where Can You Find Exceptional Culinary Experiences in California?

La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla delivers impeccable service with menu options from lobster bisque to perfectly prepared steak.
