I was blown away by Karyssa's work! She really took our design requests and went way beyond our expectations. My husband and I love plants and had very specific, more unique flowers we wanted to incorporate into our wedding and Karyssa did a great job at a fair price. The colors were perfect. She was also super sweet and professional and accommodated my request to get bulk stems so my bridesmaids and I could make our own bouquets. Would absolutely book again.

BÁNH BAKERY

5.0

Santa Clara, CA
  • Cakes & desserts

BÁNH BAKERY is a cookie-focused bakery, offering small-batch cookies inspired by nostalgic Asian flavors alongside beloved American classics. While “bánh” translates to “cake” in Vietnamese, it’s also a broad term used for many foods—from dumplings and pastries to sticky rice treats and baguettes. We chose the name for its openness and versatility, even though our offerings are exclusively cookies. Rooted in tradition and shaped by our experiences, we bake to honor family, build community, and create second chances—one thoughtfully crafted cookie at a time

Awarded Best of Zola
Bánh honors traditional Asian flavors with a new modern twist. They have perfected their sweetness level; not too much and just enough. I’ve ordered variety boxes and dozens of cookies for events such as corporate team offsites, birthdays, baby/bridal showers and bachelorette parties. Every single person at each event loved the cookies and there were no crumbs left behind.

My friend had hired her to do her wedding glam a couple years ago and she had also done the glam for the bridesmaids as well (I was a bridesmaid). She was so great that I had decided to hire her to do my own glam for my wedding day and let me tell you she was AMAZING. The professionalism was top notch. She communicates very well and is timely. She is so knowledgeable and really knows how to work with all skin types as well as different skin tones (my bridal party is very diverse). I'll admit I was a bit difficult and had kept changing my mind and was unsure of what type of makeup I wanted for my wedding but Sammy was really patient and helped me narrow down what I really wanted even when I couldn't exactly convey what I was trying to go for during our trials. One thing I will also note is that she is SUPER organized and CLEAN. I am a bit of a germaphobe and everything about her kit and her process was sanitary. Absolutely amazing experience with her. She made me feel soooo beautiful on my wedding day. I highly recommend her. Thank you SO much Sammy!

I’ve always been inspired by the strong, ambitious women in my life who built successful small businesses in the hospitality industry — from restaurant owners and bakers to caterers and florists. Growing up surrounded by their entrepreneurial spirit, I was motivated to follow my own path and create something meaningful in the world of events. After spending two years working as a Wedding Coordinator at the Westin, the pandemic hit and forced a pause on hotel weddings. That unexpected turn of events only fueled my determination to turn my passion into a full-time business. And so, Kaci Danae Events was born.

I had the opportunity to work as a vendor (photo) with Kaci recently at a wedding! Kaci was organized, communicative and extremely easy to work with. She did a great job of running the show seamlessly and keeping a calm, pleasant attitude all day long. Bad weather threatened to ruin the outdoor ceremony, but Kaci helped the couple come up with a plan B well ahead of time just in case. If there is one thing I’ve learned from working weddings, it is that the best vendors are able to operate calmly and with a smile under pressure. I definitely recommend working with Kaci!

Yoko made sure to get to know us and took every step possible over the year we worked together to make sure that we were prepared for the big day. She was in touch with our vendors, and our families and made sure that everything ran as smoothly as possible. We never felt behind schedule or rushed because Yoko and team were so organized and on top of it. They really took care of us throughout the entire process. Something we appreciate is that they anticipated we'd need breaks during the day and scheduled those for us as well, they also made sure we were fed and hydrated throughout! Our families could not stop talking about how efficiently the entire day was managed. 11/10 want to plan another wedding just to hire them again.

Natasha's Treats

5.0

  • Cakes & desserts
  • Serves Santa Clara, CA

Raised in Ukraine, I grew up loving the delectable European cakes my mother would bake from scratch. This experience cultivated my love for sweets and baking, and taught me to appreciate desserts that offer both exceptional flavor and just the right amount of sweetness.

Awarded Best of Zola
Our wedding venue recommended Natasha's Treats, and we were so glad they did! Working with her was seamless, from our first communication with her to the beautiful finished product on our wedding day. She was so kind, communicative, and professional. Our reception was outdoors and there was some concern about our cake being in the sun for several hours, which required some coordinating with the venue about when the cake should be delivered. Natasha took it upon herself to talk directly with the venue in the week leading up to the wedding, insisting that it was not something she wanted us to have to worry about, and for that I was so grateful! Our cake was delicious, and we got many compliments on it. Prior to the wedding, we'd ordered a tasting box from her, and all six of the classic flavors we sampled were excellent. We went with just one flavor for our three-tiered cake since my husband and I both agreed on which was our favorite. If you look through Natasha's photos on Instagram, you will see that she does absolutely beautiful work. We chose a simple design with textured lines, since we were going for a simple, clean look for our cake. She also has her prices listed on her website, which was appreciated, and her prices are very competitive and worth the investment. I highly recommend Natasha's Treats!

We held our wedding reception at Saratoga Springs in the Cathedral Grove region of the venue on a Saturday in October. After visiting them for a walkthrough, we booked this venue about a year and a few months in advance. This was the first venue we visited and we fell in love! We felt a great family-like vibe from the staff, starting with Jennifer who coordinated our initial booking and tour. Throughout our time preparing for this event, Olivia and Sam were extraordinary in their communication, response time, and knowledge of these events. They did a wonderful job in helping us understand what we needed vs. what we wanted and good decisions to make. They never tried to upsell us on more expensive options, always letting us know the best value for what we wanted. Throughout this process, we knew we had made the right choice in terms of staff. Scenically, Saratoga Springs is stunning! An outdoor venue with several different species of large trees like oaks and redwoods, many small creeks that run through and around the venue, and several amenities included such as lights that wrap around the trees, a firepit, and artificial turf that you can actually wear high heels on! We were in love with the scenery immediately because our reception was LOTR/Legend of Zelda themed and this was perfect for us. Throughout the actual event, the Saratoga Springs staff was excellent. They assisted us and our own day of wedding coordinators in running the event and making sure we had everything that they could provide. Our reception was during a brutal heat wave in the Bay Area, but Cathedral Grove had so many large trees that the shade they provided meant the floor never got hot and it felt more like 75 degrees which was SO essential for the comfort of ourselves and our guests. Everything was great, and we give the venue and their staff a 10/10. There was one glaring issue we want to address. The DJ we booked, Paul Dominguez, was a very nice man. He seemed to be on top of it, being in constant communication with us leading up to the event. We felt that he was going to do a great job. Yet, when it came time for the event, he made SEVERAL mistakes in what we asked him to do that we felt the need to address this situation and performance. He is part of the approved vendor list for DJs but we honestly feel Saratoga Springs needs to either reevaluate him or discuss this with him because literally everything else about the night was perfect for us, except him. Again, he is a nice guy and even provided cold sparklers for us for free which we really appreciated, but the lack of attention to detail in several aspects of this night was something we felt we needed to address here. Overall, Saratoga Springs is an excellent venue choice for a big event like a wedding/reception and we are happy to recommend anyone looking for a venue. We had an amazing experience for our reception and we are very satisfied with the staff and scenery of this venue.

Welcome and congratulations on your engagement! As a former Executive Assistant it was easy to transition to becoming a Wedding Coordinator. I traded managing CEOs and their schedules for managing couples and theirs! I’ve been in the wedding industry since 2006, starting with designing invitations and full planning to where I am now.

Honestly. Patricia was fabulous. As the Mother of the Bride, I watched her handle vendors, last minute surprises, and all of our guests with Grace and Professionalism. I never experienced any anxiety and knew that she had absolutely everything under control. My husband and I arrived before anyone else and watched as she seamlessly made sure that everything was done as planned. Her presence was barely noticeable except when needed and then she would almost magically appear anticipating the need. I am so impressed with her skills and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to my closest friends and family.

Opened in spring of 2001, the Los Altos History Museum resides in an impressive three-level, 8,200-square-foot building – built entirely with private donations; building ownership was transferred to the City of Los Altos in 2002. The Museum features a changing exhibits gallery as well as the permanent exhibit, “Crown of the Peninsula,” that describes the rich history of Los Altos and the surrounding area.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Pets can join the celebration
  • Dressing room available
  • Space for a large guest list

Venue considerations

  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
  • Requires outside catering services
  • No on-premises lodging options
Bride’s Perspective Our wedding was a candlelit pizza party in the garden—casual, approachable, and elegant all at once. About 80 guests came. The ceremony was under the tree near the entrance. During cocktail hour, some guests (especially families with kids) enjoyed docent-led tours of the house. For dinner, we seated everyone at two long banquet tables on the bricks. While a lot of us were dancing inside, guests also gathered outside around the heaters under blankets we provided. The venue’s gardens and old trees meant we needed very little décor — we went with some DIY Trader Joe’s flowers & lots of candles. When the sun set, the glow from the candles and string lights provided by LAHM was magical. One highlight was cutting the cake at the end of the tables, looking out at our laughing, candlelit guests. We expected warm October weather, but the forecast dipped into the low 60s. Propane heaters worked perfectly, and combined with candles, lights, and blankets, the night felt intimate and warm. We live close to the venue and got ready at home, which turned out to be ideal—relaxed, convenient, and comfortable. Before planning, I imagined a rustic barn wedding, while my husband wanted something elegant. The museum was the perfect balance — and better than either of us pictured. Working with Lisa was wonderful. She was professional, responsive, and calm from the first walkthrough through the end of the night. I enjoyed checking in with her throughout the event, and everything ran smoothly. We trusted her recommendations and appreciated how she coordinated with all our vendors. We joke that if we ever got married again, we’d do it all the same — same space, same people, same Lisa! Groom’s Perspective We knew our venue search was over when we found the Los Altos History Museum. Lisa, the venue coordinator, not only manages a beautiful space but also brings clarity with straightforward policies and transparent pricing, which gave us freedom to design the day exactly how we wanted. The event moved naturally through the property: ceremony under the trees, cocktails near the house, dinner on the bricks, and dancing inside. It felt private but accessible, and the gardens were perfect for photos. My favorite moment was watching the sun set over dinner as candles and string lights took over. Lisa was fantastic — responsive, flexible, and organized. She met with our vendors in advance and made space to store supplies several days ahead of the wedding. She was the first to arrive and last to leave. She even helped pack our car at the end of the night. A few notes for future couples: there’s limited getting-ready space (we used our home, which worked great), tenting for rain can be tricky and expensive, and there’s no commercial kitchen. None were issues for us, and Lisa explained these points to us early so there were no surprises. Vendor List: Coordinator: Taylor Rae Weddings Catering [Appetizers, Dinner]: Gigi mobile wood-fired kitchen Catering [Service, Setup, Breakdown, Bar]: Heirloom Catering Co.
