Kaci Danae Events
Rating: 5.0 (49 reviews)
  • Planner
  • Offers 5 services
  • Serves East Palo Alto, CA

I’ve always been inspired by the strong, ambitious women in my life who built successful small businesses in the hospitality industry — from restaurant owners and bakers to caterers and florists. Growing up surrounded by their entrepreneurial spirit, I was motivated to follow my own path and create something meaningful in the world of events. After spending two years working as a Wedding Coordinator at the Westin, the pandemic hit and forced a pause on hotel weddings. That unexpected turn of events only fueled my determination to turn my passion into a full-time business. And so, Kaci Danae Events was born.

Awarded Best of Zola
Working with Kaci was awesome! She was super communicative and helpful through the whole process. She really went above and beyond what I expected for a day-of coordinator, and because we had her onboard we went into the few weeks leading up to the wedding far more relaxed than we would have been without her. She made our timelines make sense, she helped coordinate with other vendors, she was there to answer questions last minute when we had them. It was really a great pleasure to work with her, and I'm so certain that our day would have been less enjoyable without her there to help keep this moving smoothly. Highly recommend!

We found TPE through Yelp and are so glad we chose Leah. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, matching our energy and preferences perfectly to bring our vision of a cozy, laid-back celebration to life. Her planning templates made the process effortless, and her guidance was invaluable every step of the way. On the wedding day, Leah and Leo went above and beyond - even replacing centerpieces I had misplaced. They kept the timeline on track and handled every detail, from securing gifts to ensuring everything ran smoothly. This allowed us to fully enjoy our celebration without a single worry. Leah helped us design a day that truly represented us - nerdy, cozy, and unique. From a special ceremony in the Cal Academy Planetarium to a cocktail hour in the aquarium and dinner in the atrium, it was seamless. All of the vendors she recommended were professional, approachable, and a delight to work with. We and our guests had an amazing time, and we are so grateful to Leah for making our day truly special!

Raised in Ukraine, I grew up loving the delectable European cakes my mother would bake from scratch. This experience cultivated my love for sweets and baking, and taught me to appreciate desserts that offer both exceptional flavor and just the right amount of sweetness.

Awarded Best of Zola
Thank you for the wonderful cake we received so many comments on how people couldn’t believe it was vegan and how good it was. It was so easy to work with you and possibly my favorite part of the wedding planning was tasting all the cake flavors. It was so hard to narrow doing the flavors but we're really happy with the 2 we did end up chosing it. The cake looked better than I had imagined and the way you took my inspiration photo and tied it into the reception theme with the flowers really added to it. Thank you once again

We held our wedding reception at Saratoga Springs in the Cathedral Grove region of the venue on a Saturday in October. After visiting them for a walkthrough, we booked this venue about a year and a few months in advance. This was the first venue we visited and we fell in love! We felt a great family-like vibe from the staff, starting with Jennifer who coordinated our initial booking and tour. Throughout our time preparing for this event, Olivia and Sam were extraordinary in their communication, response time, and knowledge of these events. They did a wonderful job in helping us understand what we needed vs. what we wanted and good decisions to make. They never tried to upsell us on more expensive options, always letting us know the best value for what we wanted. Throughout this process, we knew we had made the right choice in terms of staff. Scenically, Saratoga Springs is stunning! An outdoor venue with several different species of large trees like oaks and redwoods, many small creeks that run through and around the venue, and several amenities included such as lights that wrap around the trees, a firepit, and artificial turf that you can actually wear high heels on! We were in love with the scenery immediately because our reception was LOTR/Legend of Zelda themed and this was perfect for us. Throughout the actual event, the Saratoga Springs staff was excellent. They assisted us and our own day of wedding coordinators in running the event and making sure we had everything that they could provide. Our reception was during a brutal heat wave in the Bay Area, but Cathedral Grove had so many large trees that the shade they provided meant the floor never got hot and it felt more like 75 degrees which was SO essential for the comfort of ourselves and our guests. Everything was great, and we give the venue and their staff a 10/10. There was one glaring issue we want to address. The DJ we booked, Paul Dominguez, was a very nice man. He seemed to be on top of it, being in constant communication with us leading up to the event. We felt that he was going to do a great job. Yet, when it came time for the event, he made SEVERAL mistakes in what we asked him to do that we felt the need to address this situation and performance. He is part of the approved vendor list for DJs but we honestly feel Saratoga Springs needs to either reevaluate him or discuss this with him because literally everything else about the night was perfect for us, except him. Again, he is a nice guy and even provided cold sparklers for us for free which we really appreciated, but the lack of attention to detail in several aspects of this night was something we felt we needed to address here. Overall, Saratoga Springs is an excellent venue choice for a big event like a wedding/reception and we are happy to recommend anyone looking for a venue. We had an amazing experience for our reception and we are very satisfied with the staff and scenery of this venue.

Opened in spring of 2001, the Los Altos History Museum resides in an impressive three-level, 8,200-square-foot building – built entirely with private donations; building ownership was transferred to the City of Los Altos in 2002. The Museum features a changing exhibits gallery as well as the permanent exhibit, “Crown of the Peninsula,” that describes the rich history of Los Altos and the surrounding area.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Pets can join the celebration
  • Dressing room available
  • Space for a large guest list

Venue considerations

  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
  • Requires outside catering services
  • No on-premises lodging options
Bride’s Perspective Our wedding was a candlelit pizza party in the garden—casual, approachable, and elegant all at once. About 80 guests came. The ceremony was under the tree near the entrance. During cocktail hour, some guests (especially families with kids) enjoyed docent-led tours of the house. For dinner, we seated everyone at two long banquet tables on the bricks. While a lot of us were dancing inside, guests also gathered outside around the heaters under blankets we provided. The venue’s gardens and old trees meant we needed very little décor — we went with some DIY Trader Joe’s flowers & lots of candles. When the sun set, the glow from the candles and string lights provided by LAHM was magical. One highlight was cutting the cake at the end of the tables, looking out at our laughing, candlelit guests. We expected warm October weather, but the forecast dipped into the low 60s. Propane heaters worked perfectly, and combined with candles, lights, and blankets, the night felt intimate and warm. We live close to the venue and got ready at home, which turned out to be ideal—relaxed, convenient, and comfortable. Before planning, I imagined a rustic barn wedding, while my husband wanted something elegant. The museum was the perfect balance — and better than either of us pictured. Working with Lisa was wonderful. She was professional, responsive, and calm from the first walkthrough through the end of the night. I enjoyed checking in with her throughout the event, and everything ran smoothly. We trusted her recommendations and appreciated how she coordinated with all our vendors. We joke that if we ever got married again, we’d do it all the same — same space, same people, same Lisa! Groom’s Perspective We knew our venue search was over when we found the Los Altos History Museum. Lisa, the venue coordinator, not only manages a beautiful space but also brings clarity with straightforward policies and transparent pricing, which gave us freedom to design the day exactly how we wanted. The event moved naturally through the property: ceremony under the trees, cocktails near the house, dinner on the bricks, and dancing inside. It felt private but accessible, and the gardens were perfect for photos. My favorite moment was watching the sun set over dinner as candles and string lights took over. Lisa was fantastic — responsive, flexible, and organized. She met with our vendors in advance and made space to store supplies several days ahead of the wedding. She was the first to arrive and last to leave. She even helped pack our car at the end of the night. A few notes for future couples: there’s limited getting-ready space (we used our home, which worked great), tenting for rain can be tricky and expensive, and there’s no commercial kitchen. None were issues for us, and Lisa explained these points to us early so there were no surprises. Vendor List: Coordinator: Taylor Rae Weddings Catering [Appetizers, Dinner]: Gigi mobile wood-fired kitchen Catering [Service, Setup, Breakdown, Bar]: Heirloom Catering Co. Fan was an absolute joy to work with! If you’ve stumbled upon her page, take this as your sign: you’ve found your florist. She was one of my favorite vendors to work with leading up to and on the big day. Fan was willing to work with me within my budget and make my dream come to life. Her attention to detail is unmatched. I didn’t have a planner and was juggling countless little things, but with Fan, I felt completely at ease. She anticipated details I never would have thought of like timing the placement of eucalyptus runners so they wouldn’t burn in the sun, which made all the difference. She was also incredibly patient as we decided on my bouquet. I was very particular, and she went above and beyond, even coordinating with three different vendors to get it perfect. The end result was stunning, and I received endless compliments on the flowers all night long. Her pricing is also competitive and probably the best for the level of quality she delivers. She’s worth it, trust me.

We had such an amazing experience with our catering team for our wedding! Carla, the owner, was incredibly kind, patient, and so easy to talk to. From day one, she was communicative and very flexible with all the requests I had, which made the entire planning process so much less stressful. One thing we truly appreciated was that they even delivered food to our home during our tastings--it made everything so convenient. The food was already amazing during the tastings, but it was even more incredible on our wedding day. All of our guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was! Carla and her team provided exceptional service from start to finish. They were also the only catering team we found who packed up all the leftovers for us, which meant so much since our family stayed at the venue--we got to continue enjoying the food even after the wedding. They also created our wedding cake, which was absolutely beautiful and delicious. We also ordered the raspberry no-bake cheesecake (which I sadly didn't get to try!), but based on how quickly everything disappeared, it was clearly a hit. We only had a few slices of cake left, which says a lot about how much our guests loved everything. We are beyond grateful for Carla and her team for making our wedding day so special. We will definitely be booking them again for future events--highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Bellissima Music highly enough. They performed for my engagement proposal this past Saturday, and they were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Throughout the planning process, they were incredibly helpful, responsive, and easy to work with. I had a specific vision for the atmosphere I wanted to create, and they took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. Their guidance and professionalism made the entire process stress-free. One thing that really stood out was the music curation. I provided a list of songs that were meaningful to my fiancée and me, and Bellissima Music helped shape a setlist that was absolutely perfect. The song selections and transitions felt natural and created the exact mood I had hoped for. Hearing those songs performed live on violin made the moment even more special and memorable. My fiancee was in tears hearing the music and others at the winery came up to us asking questions about them/where did I find them. On the day of the proposal, everything was executed flawlessly. They eased my nerves of the proposal. Their performance added an elegant and emotional touch that elevated the entire experience, and several of our family members commented on how beautiful the music was. Thank you, Bellissima Music, for helping create one of the most important and unforgettable moments of our lives. I am incredibly grateful for your talent, professionalism, and attention to detail. We absolutely love documenting weddings at this venue! There's so many great things to say about this venue and the people at Wedgewood Weddings. First off, the people who work here truly care about your experience as a bride. They go above and beyond to make sure that you have the best wedding experience possible. That's not easy to find in the wedding industry, I promise. Second, obviously the venue itself. It has some gorgeous Italian Villa inspired vibes and the views from the ceremony site are absolutely everything you could hope for. We can't wait to be back!

The moments you remember most aren’t usually the ones that were planned. My approach is documentary-driven and unhurried, focused on connection, movement, and the quiet in-between moments that tend to mean the most later. I work best with couples who value presence over perfection and want images that feel honest, intimate, and timeless. Whether your day is big or small, traditional or unconventional, my goal is to create space for you to be fully yourselves — and to tell your story as it naturally unfolds.

Sharyce is awesome! She not only has amazing photos, but she also really helped kinda coordinate the day and keep people out when needed, which was much appreciated. She has great energy and ideas. We absolutely loved our wedding photos.
