Candelas By Angeles
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
San Bruno, CA
  • Event extras
  • Gifts and favors
  • Wedding scent experience
  • Starts at $260

Customize your candles as an all-in-one solution for your event with unique, hand-painted terracotta candles from Candelas by Angeles. You can explore a selection of thoughtfully curated collections—Rustico, Clásico, Ollas, Diamantes, and Volcanes—each designed to beautifully complement your celebration. Every candle is hand-poured using an all-natural soy-coconut wax blend and finished with a wooden wick that creates a soft, inviting glow. Add a personal touch to your event with rustic charm decor, or create meaningful keepsakes that your guests will truly cherish.

We wanted to give something "useful" as a favor for our wedding, not just a cardstock with pictures. We thought about candles but weren't convinced until we found THESE candles. They feel so unique, simple yet thoughtful. We really liked the rustic style and having our initials on them made it feel personalized enough to fit our wedding. We really hope our guest like them, because we are super excited about them.

Avery Wong Photography
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
San Bruno, CA
  • Photographer
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $3,700

I can tell you how I started shooting photos since I was a young wee lad, but that's what everyone else says and also it's not true. I didn't even pick up a camera until I was in high school. I'm the type of person who ignores convention and does it differently, my own way. Seldom the "right" way, but always the "Wong" way. My passion for creativity and my adeptness of the tech and the technical is what allows me to weave my craft and to produce art for my couples.

When my now husband and I were looking for a photographer, we made a tier list. After lots of weeding out of mediocre photographers, we narrowed our selections down to two. We resolved to contact the last two to see which one we wanted to go with. From the minute I first met Avery on zoom, I knew that I wanted to work with him. Not only are his photos phenomenal and extremely cinematic, they are somehow able to tell a story in the photo. I felt moved looking at some of his albums and I wondered how he was able to do that. When we actually got to working with him on our wedding day, I understood his process: He actually knows how to pose a model and gives clear instructions on where to put your hand, when to tilt head down, where to look, etc. This is what I was specifically looking for, as I've had some photographers who were just 'okay' that snapped away but gave no direction as to what to do. I think this is the mark of an excellent photographer and one who has clearly done many weddings. My butt looks great in all the photos. :) Also, I feel like I would qualify as a quirky bride, and he totally embraced that and took photos of my multiple plushies. That's a 100 in my book.

I’ve always been inspired by the strong, ambitious women in my life who built successful small businesses in the hospitality industry — from restaurant owners and bakers to caterers and florists. Growing up surrounded by their entrepreneurial spirit, I was motivated to follow my own path and create something meaningful in the world of events. After spending two years working as a Wedding Coordinator at the Westin, the pandemic hit and forced a pause on hotel weddings. That unexpected turn of events only fueled my determination to turn my passion into a full-time business. And so, Kaci Danae Events was born.

Working with Kaci was a pleasure. The wedding went without a hick-up. All the pre-planning was very timely and very well-detailed. I would recommend Kasi to anyone in need of a wedding planner.

My partner and I were looking for guidance and help in planning our wedding celebration. We were recommended Two Perfect Events by our venue, Mister Jiu's, given their prior collaboration and experience with them. We were kindly welcomed by Leah and introduced to our planner, Yoko, who was amazing, carefully guiding and making our vision a reality, accommodating our preferences and budget, and helping us with the design and layout of the big day with all of our vendors. She provided multiple vendor options, communicated closely with them and us throughout the bidding and hiring process, and ensured we were all on the same page from planning through the walkthrough and up to the day of the event. One of the greatest things about this process was the clear, concise communication and organization that made planning, payments, and decision-making understandable, step by step, rather than a labyrinth of crossed wires and deadlines.  The day of our wedding was as effortless as could be. It was great to have the team from Two Perfect Events, along with Yoko and Leo, there to assist with setting up and taking down decorations and rentals, help guide guests, event staff, and our vendors, and ensure everything, including our deliveries and rentals, went according to plan. We also appreciated that our planners kept an eye on both of us the entire night to ensure we were doing well and enjoying the festivities, getting our food, making sure we were at the right place at the right time, and saving any items for our personal requests. We did not expect that Two Perfect Events would take behind-the-scenes photos and videos of the entire day and the in-person walkthroughs, which gave us a chance to reminisce on the process and quickly provide a glimpse of our families and friends outside the eyes of our wonderful wedding photographers.  We appreciated that our vendors were all in sync, and the coordinators ensured our entire process minimized the stress of planning, which was what we had hoped for all along. They provided us with good advice on choosing vendors, insurance for our wedding, and what to expect when working with multiple parties. It was evident that Two Perfect Events had considered multiple contingencies and scenarios in which snafus or unexpected issues may arise throughout the process, and we were glad that Yoko was always prepared for them, including giving us enough buffer time due to traffic delays so our guests could arrive on the big day.  Everyone complimented us on the evening, and it went by so smoothly. They commented that this was the least stressful and most fun wedding they've been to in a long time, which conveyed the vibe we were going for. We wanted it to be a fun yet intimate evening where everyone enjoyed getting together to celebrate, and we were delighted to celebrate that day with them. Thanks again to our wonderful planner, Yoko, and Two Perfect Events! We couldn't have done this without you.

The quality of her work was outstanding - the cakes were not too sweet, but had delicious flavors, and beautifully presented. She even delivered the cake to the venue and ensured it looked perfect. We opted for the Tropical Treat and Very Berry Chocolate flavors, which were both a huge hit with our guests. Natasha's Treats truly contributed to making our special day even more memorable. We were able to figure out where I would need more moisturizer and coverage for my drier spots, which really helped for the day. My makeup also lasted all day, even with dancing well into the night. • Starts at $8,500

Opened in spring of 2001, the Los Altos History Museum resides in an impressive three-level, 8,200-square-foot building – built entirely with private donations; building ownership was transferred to the City of Los Altos in 2002. The Museum features a changing exhibits gallery as well as the permanent exhibit, “Crown of the Peninsula,” that describes the rich history of Los Altos and the surrounding area.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Pets can join the celebration
  • Dressing room available
  • Space for a large guest list

Venue considerations

  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
  • Requires outside catering services
  • No on-premises lodging options
Bride’s Perspective Our wedding was a candlelit pizza party in the garden—casual, approachable, and elegant all at once. About 80 guests came. The ceremony was under the tree near the entrance. During cocktail hour, some guests (especially families with kids) enjoyed docent-led tours of the house. For dinner, we seated everyone at two long banquet tables on the bricks. While a lot of us were dancing inside, guests also gathered outside around the heaters under blankets we provided. The venue’s gardens and old trees meant we needed very little décor — we went with some DIY Trader Joe’s flowers & lots of candles. When the sun set, the glow from the candles and string lights provided by LAHM was magical. One highlight was cutting the cake at the end of the tables, looking out at our laughing, candlelit guests. We expected warm October weather, but the forecast dipped into the low 60s. Propane heaters worked perfectly, and combined with candles, lights, and blankets, the night felt intimate and warm. We live close to the venue and got ready at home, which turned out to be ideal—relaxed, convenient, and comfortable. Before planning, I imagined a rustic barn wedding, while my husband wanted something elegant. The museum was the perfect balance — and better than either of us pictured. Working with Lisa was wonderful. She was professional, responsive, and calm from the first walkthrough through the end of the night. I enjoyed checking in with her throughout the event, and everything ran smoothly. We trusted her recommendations and appreciated how she coordinated with all our vendors. We joke that if we ever got married again, we’d do it all the same — same space, same people, same Lisa! Groom’s Perspective We knew our venue search was over when we found the Los Altos History Museum. Lisa, the venue coordinator, not only manages a beautiful space but also brings clarity with straightforward policies and transparent pricing, which gave us freedom to design the day exactly how we wanted. The event moved naturally through the property: ceremony under the trees, cocktails near the house, dinner on the bricks, and dancing inside. It felt private but accessible, and the gardens were perfect for photos. My favorite moment was watching the sun set over dinner as candles and string lights took over. Lisa was fantastic — responsive, flexible, and organized. She met with our vendors in advance and made space to store supplies several days ahead of the wedding. She was the first to arrive and last to leave. She even helped pack our car at the end of the night. A few notes for future couples: there’s limited getting-ready space (we used our home, which worked great), tenting for rain can be tricky and expensive, and there’s no commercial kitchen. None were issues for us, and Lisa explained these points to us early so there were no surprises. Vendor List: Coordinator: Taylor Rae Weddings Catering [Appetizers, Dinner]: Gigi mobile wood-fired kitchen Catering [Service, Setup, Breakdown, Bar]: Heirloom Catering Co. I never experienced any anxiety and knew that she had absolutely everything under control. My husband and I arrived before anyone else and watched as she seamlessly made sure that everything was done as planned. Her presence was barely noticeable except when needed and then she would almost magically appear anticipating the need. I am so impressed with her skills and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to my closest friends and family.

They were able to help with all my questions. The venue is stunning and packaged vendors were just wonderful. This was my dream wedding. If I could change anything it would be to allow the food to stay out all night or just longer than 90 minutes. Also, if I could have gotten into the bridal suite to actually get my makeup done that would have been a nice touch. But that’s minor. The suite was lovely and spacious enough for my immediate family to do our touch ups and change. The drinks were nice and strong. This was the best day ever!

We booked George and his team for our wedding video in Las Vegas, and honestly, they were incredible from start to finish. Communication before the wedding was super easy. they helped us plan out the timeline and made sure we’d have everything covered. The team blended right in on the wedding day; they were friendly, professional, and somehow everywhere without ever feeling like a camera was in our face. The final video completely blew us away. It captured the emotion, the energy, and all those little in-between moments we didn’t even realize happened. We’ve watched it so many times already and still get chills every time. Paulina & Carlos

We chose Blanco Urban Venue for our wedding and couldn't have been happier with the decision. From the start, the team responded quickly to all our questions and made planning feel straightforward. We were drawn to the place as it allowed for Ceremony, Cocktail, and Reception to all be in one space, with a super smooth flow, and allowed our pet to walk down the ceremony aisle. Chrissy gave us a tour and was SO warm and welcoming taking time to answer our questions and even graciously scheduled a second tour with the parents. She was super honest and open about anything we asked, providing solutions to concerns, and the day worked out exactly as she described. We had a 165 person wedding, and was worried about it feeling cramped but it honestly felt very roomy and comfortable for moving around and dancing. There was enough room for all the chairs, tables, and even had a nice space for vendor table! The included tables and chairs saved us time and money, and we loved how our other vendors raved about the venue too—it made coordinating everything so much easier. The bartenders really impressed us with their skill, and those signature cocktails were delicious even though drinks came at a premium price. However, right after the ceremony, Chrissy immediatley found the bride and groom to give us our signature drinks, and even gave one to the nervous parents. It was such a personal touch that we will remember forever. Being in San Pedro Square, parking was a breeze at only 10 dollars for the whole day, and a easy spot to Uber to. We had a world cup watch party coinciding with our day, but the team proactivley warned us and helped us have alternatives on communicating with guests to make sure everyone made it smoothly. Overall, Blanco delivered on quality and service, and we'd recommend them to any couple looking for a polished, all-in-one venue.

I can’t recommend Far Out Catering & Events highly enough! Carla and her wonderful team helped me organize a beautiful baby shower for my daughter-in-law. They not only provided a fantastic luncheon buffet, but they also created a stunning layout, handled the vendors, and their flower team made adorable centerpieces for the tables. I rented the mimosa cart from them, and it was a highlight of my event! If you are looking for a company that will take care of everything so you can enjoy the event, contact them!
