We spent 11 months planning every detail, and booking Golden Bell Music as one of our very first vendors was hands-down the best decision we made. The band/DJ hybrid concept? Pure genius! It absolutely delivers the best of both worlds, and they pulled it off flawlessly. But really, the biggest shout-out – and the core of this whole review – belongs to the phenomenal Marlon Aldana, our DJ and drummer. We first spotted him in action on Golden Bell's Instagram, and it was an instant "that's our guy!" moment. You can imagine our excitement when we found out he was available for our date! Working with Marlon from the very beginning was just an absolute pleasure. He wasn't just playing music; he was genuinely feeling the room, intuitively knowing when to let a song build or transition to keep the energy up. All of our "must-plays" were there, the do not-play was respected, and the dance floor never once emptied And talk about flexibility! We had a last-minute idea to add an extra instrument, and the Golden Bell team didn't blink. They jumped right in, helping us find the perfect addition without any issues. Plus, we had a separate violinist for our ceremony, and it was so impressive to see how effortlessly all the vendors collaborated. No drama, just smooth, professional teamwork, which really speaks volumes about Golden Bell's commitment to making your day seamless. Now, for the ultimate highlight: our after-party! We decided to do something a little different and host it in a wine cellar, and Marlon and his team elevated it beyond anything we could have imagined. When they brought in a fog machine, the entire atmosphere transformed. It wasn't just a party; it was an experience! That fog machine honestly MADE the party, turning the space into something truly epic. I genuinely can't picture it having the same incredible energy without it, so a massive thank you for that unexpected, perfect touch. And because we had a masquerade theme, I asked if the DJs would wear disco masks and they SAID YES and wore them the entire time, even after I told them they absolutely didn't have to for more than one song! It just created such an amazing vibe, and we've got the pictures to prove how much fun everyone had! There's just so much to appreciate about this incredible group. “We found Brandon through our wedding planner Christine Garrison of CMG Events. She suggested him because we were interested in having someone play acoustic guitar and singing during the wedding. After chatting with Brandon, we hired him to play the guitar for our ceremony, act as a wandering minstrel during the cocktail hour, and DJ the entire event. Our ceremony took place outdoors in an open lawn area. Brandon did a great job with setting up the sound. Everyone was able to hear both us and the officiant clearly. The acoustic rendition of Heartbeats (Jose Gonzalez) and Wildflowers (Tom Petty) he played for our processional and recessional were beautiful and really set the mood we were looking for. Brandon also did a great job DJing the event. He was able to take a small number of songs and expand the playlist to not only fit our tastes but keep the party hopping. We had expected that we would have minimal dancing and that our crowd would mostly just sit around chatting. However, Brandon was able to keep the energy up and the dance floor going throughout the night. It far exceeded our expectations and made the night really memorable. He was extremely professional throughout the planning process. We had several calls leading up to the wedding, and he made it easy to communicate what we were looking for in the event. We added songs to a few different playlists which he used as a jumping off point. He also provided suggestions for all the important moments (e.g., processionals, recessional, first dance, grand entrance). His contract and other documents were also clear and always sent promptly. On the day of Brandon arrived on time for set up and did a great job with all aspects (sound, DJing, acoustic performance, and lighting) of the event. He looked extremely professional and was communicative throughout the day, constantly checking in with the planner and us to make sure everything was going well. If he wasn’t sure about a song, he’d ask before playing it. Best of all, he was extremely reasonably priced. His assistant, Josh, was also very nice and did a great job.”

One of the things I appreciated most about Colin was his ability to be everywhere to get footage, but he was secretive about it, so those that are shy on camera didn’t feel pressured. “One word: Perfect. As someone who suffers from severe anxiety, I can honestly say I have never felt more at-ease and confident than while working with the Wedgewood Weddings Redwood Canyon team -- they always had our backs, kept us on track, and made us feel taken care of. From the first venue visit, during the planning meetings, all the way until the rehearsal and wedding day, the professionalism, clear communication, planning resources, and organized approach made for a seamless experience. We worked with Allison as our Wedding Planner and Coordinator and I firmly believe that she is one of the main reasons our wedding went as incredibly as it did. Redwood Canyon, provides a planning binder as soon as you sign that includes monthly checklists ahead of the wedding to help keep you organized in between planning meetings. It is also filled with valuable information about the wedding planning process, examples, vendor questions, and general guidelines. It helped us structure the planning process without losing the ability to truly personalize our event. Every meeting we had with the planning team was concise, direct, and organized -- it helped us stay on track throughout the process and gave us the opportunity to discuss ideas and ask for advice (which they are also more than happy to give via email). Super responsive and accommodating -- we were so impressed with how easy the process was. We also partnered with their recommended Bakery, DJ, and Florist as part of our vendor team, and the coordination between venue and vendors was absolutely seamless...by the time the week of the wedding rolled around all the main aspects were locked in and we knew the event was in good hands. The wedding day itself was perfect. Allison served as our Day-Of-Coordinator, and together with Jacoby (co-coordinator), Liv (banquet captain), Liz (banquet captain), and rest of the team (cooks, servers, bartenders) we had the most incredible wedding. We arrived at the agreed-upon time on the day of the wedding, and from that moment onwards, the Redwood Canyon team took over to deliver the best experience. They were organized, calm, kept us well hydrated and fed, and kept everything on track for us all night. We were able to confidently hand off the reins -- we didn't have to think of anything all day other than having a good time and enjoying our day as much as possible, trusting that all the logistics were in good hands. Overall, the venue itself was gorgeous. We had our ceremony in the Arbor Lawn, our Reception in the Grand Ballroom (we initially chose the venue primarily because of the dance floor), and rented out the Rose Room for the Cocktail Hour. Everything was included and beautifully decorated with all our desired personal touches, the food and drinks were delicious, and the planning and coordination services must be some of the best in the business. I can't imagine a more incredible experience than what we had and am so thankful for the Redwood Canyon team's care and professionalism -- especially Allison, who we were fortunate enough to work with from first meeting through the day-of. “To be honest, at first, my now husband and I weren't sure if we wanted a videographer for the wedding. It took some thinking, but we decided it would be great to have a videographer there to capture moving moments in time that we can look back on beside just having photos. Our wedding planners recommended Nelvir, who was also their wedding videographers as well, so we felt like we were in good hand. Nelvir was very communicative since the first meeting, and we signed the contract quickly after. A few months later, I met with a friend and heard horror story about how she was not able to have her videographer redo her video, also they refused to provide her with any raw footage of a specific moment. I vaguely recall that Nelvir has mentioned in our meeting that he will provide all the raw footage so that we could always get it re-edit in the future. I quickly checked the contract and there is it, in fine print. This confirms it for us even more that Nelvir was very open with all his terms, and considerate as well when it comes to his clients' special day. The day of the wedding; Nelvir was a one-man show. We had a traditional long asian wedding day that included the tea ceremony at both mine and my husband's home, a rose garden vow & ring exchange ceremony, and a 300-person reception. There were a lot of people and room to cover but Nelvir did his job phenomenally. He was also accommodating, friendly, and easy to work with. We received the edit video a few weeks after. Nelvir mentioned he was running a bit behind the scheduled date, so to make up for it, he sent us a moving photobook. It was amazing to have, as we have the video of the wedding day there in a "book" so we didn't need to pull put our phone to search for the video. We had a great time working with Nelvir and would highly recommend him to friends & family and anyone else looking for a videographer for their special day!”

After the trial, Jasmine was great at asking for my feedback and incorporating it into the final look for my wedding day. She's also mindful of tailoring her approach to your specific needs to help her work last longer. Make sure to tell her about your skin type and any specific concerns, like curls falling out of your hair easily, or oily eyelids for myself which might have affected the longevity of one eye's eyeshadow. Aside from that and a couple other minor touch ups needed throughout the day (grateful for her touch up kit!), the rest of my hair and makeup stayed all night long on my wedding day. I loved my look and thought it was even better than the trial! Even though she isn't a professional hairstylist, Jasmine really nailed it with my hair. It stayed flawless all day and night, despite the dress changes and jewelry adjustments throughout the day and I received multiple compliments on my hair! She's also easy going and nice to talk to - I really enjoyed the time spent chatting with her while getting ready in the morning. It was a great, peaceful way to start the busy day. Jasmine also helped do 2 of my bridesmaid's hair and did a beautiful job. One of them said that she has a really hard time getting curls to hold, but her hairstyle lasted all night long. I'm so grateful for Jasmine's help and would recommend her to any bride looking for a talented and personable HMUA!”
