I’ve been playing weddings for over twelve years and I love my work! My services cover any or all aspects of wedding & receptions. I have found my life’s artistic calling in becoming flexible to every type of music my clients could desire. I learn to enjoy whatever my clients love and this resonance makes my job sustainable and ever-enjoyable. But, I do tend to request the ability to make choices for the dance-floor that rely on my years of dance-enhancing experience. I meet with my clients to determine what music they would love to hear and what music they do NOT want to hear.

We make collaborative playlists together with discussion around the intended energy for each segment. Day of, I bring our musical plans to life and adjust on the fly as appropriate. I regularly play live guitar as a wandering troubador for guest arrival and cocktail hour, as well as perform intimate versions of classics for ceremonies. In my experience, the wedding DJ is in charge of the energy & mood for my clients’ biggest day. I use the power of sound to create the atmosphere for the experiences they desire. I take this responsibility seriously and I truly enjoy creating life experiences with my life-long love for music.

    The Happily Married Man

    My wife and I couldn't have been happier with our decision to choose Joey (Cello Joe) and Brandon to help make our special day sparkle. Their attention to detail, guided by years of experience, allowed us to have the wedding we envisioned while avoiding many of the common pitfalls we might have encountered without them.     The Perfect DJ skills for a Wedding

    We cannot recommend Brandon more highly! Not only did he put together an incredible playlist on our behalf that kept the dance floor humming and guests of all ages engaged, he also played some great acoustic numbers prior to and during the ceremony. And the guy has some pipes to boot! His multi-talented skills and bright personality made Brandon the perfect choice for our wedding and would recommend him for yours too!

    Highly recommend the Celebration DJ!

    Brandon was the perfect DJ for our wedding at the UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens! Our venue had multiple tricky constraints, including needing to break down all equipment immediately after each area was used. Other DJs told us that this venue was a nightmare for them in the past, but Brandon and his team had experience at the gardens and a plan for how to handle their particular rules. Brandon was organized, communicative, fun - and his blazer matched the occasion perfectly! He also kept things classy and never felt like a hypey club DJ the night of our wedding. Highly recommend him and his team :)

    Amazing DJ!

    Brandon was absolutely amazing! He was so attentive to our needs and guided us every step of the way to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams. If you’re looking for a truly personalized experience, he’s your guy. Not only did he play live at the ceremony beautifully, but he also brought his DJ skills to the dance floor and emceed the whole night, making sure everything ran smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to celebrate with!

    An incredible DJ and Performer

    Brandon was an exceptional vendor to work with for our wedding. Their communication style was easy, organized, and fun - they were a pleasure to coordinate with throughout the planning process. Bringing the full creative team together with Colin from Featherstone Films, Daniel Neal Photography, and Kate from Planted SF was truly a highlight. From every angle, the day and night felt seamless, beautiful, and full of great energy. I have to admit I was a little jealous that I could not join you all for bowling at the afterparty. My services feature all top of the line sound and lighting equipment, wireless mics and a fantastic hidden-ceremony PA system. My dance floor sound system is basically the Ferarri of speakers. Italian made "FBT Audio" Ventis and Qube Subwoofers. Insanely smooth, clear and powerful. My lighting rig includes multiple moving and changing flashing dance strobes, uplighting, gorgeous slow-moving lasers and Edison-bulb lighting to get the mood right. I control all of this from the DJ booth with AI assisted DMX control, so the lights go to the music!
I have a site where you can choose my suit! My assistants and I love to dress up for an occasion. If our clients would like us dressed in a theme, matching the decor, or to play an acting role – we love to bring our clients’ dreams to life!
I’m a published singer songwriter. For a live element, I can serenade my clients with voice and guitar. I even perform alongside my clients occasionally. As a performer for almost 20 years, I am also very confident behind the mic as the MC (Master of Ceremonies). I've even officiated 3 weddings! Imagine walking down the aisle to your officiant who's playing guitar as you arrive, I throw the guitar behind my back and I officiate the wedding, then bring the guitar back around and play you back down the aisle!
I actually love taking requests, but with "DJ Discretion"... songs have to be played at the right time. If Grandma's on the dance floor, it's probably not time for WAP.
For Live Guitar, clients get 1 FREE learned song for every hour of live guitar. For DJ music, I'll learn (and DJ prepare/cue) as many as necessary to bring your celebration to life!
Live Guitar & Vocals and / or DJ'ed, absolutely! We can even bring in other instrumentalists (harp, sax, strings, piano) and I'll mix it all together to sound great!

My "style" is better seen than typed, but I like to work with clients to understand what makes their love and lives special. I help them weave the unique aspects of their lives into their celebration to make it truly their special day. I then bring those dreams to life with my experience, care and love for this work!

Yes, I have all manner of lighting (all controlled by me and the music) from dance floor lighting (3 different styles to choose from), Intelligent Uplighting, Cold Sparklers and very popular Photo Booths (which take hilarious secret videos between the photos...)
