Mountain Shadows Retreat isn't JUST a wedding/event venue. It's an experience. As a wedding vendor, couples often tell us that their number one priority for their wedding day is their and their guests' experience. Mountain Shadows provides just that -- a unique experience where couples and their guests get to celebrate and relax while enjoying each other's company (not just for a 10-12 hour day like normal venues, but an extended weekend). This is what truly makes Shadows special. The accommodations are not only amazing and top notch, but thoughtful as well. There are several spaces to hold your event and each space offers a breathtaking view of nature. As guests, you truly feel like Shadows is your home away from home.

They're SO creative and fun to work with. The vineyard views are breathtaking as well as the Villa. You can really see forever and I love how private the entire property is. The planning team is top-notch so far and I chose their in-house bar service.. They're helping me bring all my wild ideas to life. We're even planning a silent disco for the reception afterparty! What I love most is how they let me be me and have encouraged all of my ideas for my wedding theme. If you want a venue that's gorgeous, creative, and eco-friendly, check out Black Oak Mountain Vineyards. You won't regret it. I can't wait for my big day. The Gardens At Heather Farm

5.0

Walnut Creek, CA
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,000

Set against a breathtaking backdrop of vibrant garden landscapes, wedding couples take center stage to celebrate their special day. Picture exchanging vows in a stunning ceremony surrounded by thousands of roses, savoring cocktails and conversations as you stroll along tree-lined garden paths, and dancing the night away in a spacious hilltop reception hall with panoramic views of acres of natural beauty.

The Gardens at Heather Farm was a stunning location for our wedding. We are a pretty DIY couple so we were looking for a place that was flexible to bring in your own decor and create a really unique event. Our families also loved the gardens, there are so many gorgeous spaces to decorate and celebrate! Be aware, there is a public park nearby, so there may be other celebrations going on – but the other party on our wedding day was very gracious and turned down their music for our ceremony. Overall would absolutely book the Gardens at Heather Farm again, it was perfect and beautiful for our wedding!

Spacious parkland combines with historic charm and unique architecture to create a gorgeous wedding and events venue at Hacienda de las Flores. You and your guests will have access to the property's scenic grounds, complete with lush greenery and gardens. This historic Town-owned property includes the Hacienda de las Flores, Pavilion, La Sala, Casita and a large lawn enhanced by blue atlas trees, willows, palms and flowers. Tranquil and secluded, Hacienda de las Flores offers one of the prettiest garden environments for your wedding in the East Bay.

We had a wonderful wedding - the Wedgewood team helped us create a meaningful ceremony and reception. The pictures online do not do this place justice - you have to see it for yourself! The grounds are beautiful; we had our ceremony at the pavilion and our reception in the garden area / in their indoor hall area. The venue definitely felt like a fairy / cottage core dream to me! Wedgewood also vendors that work with them and provide really excellent services - florals, music, cakes. If you want to have an awesome wedding and reduce your stress, I would check this place out.

Loved loved loved Chabot. Staff were amazing, particularly Alex Wolf. We did the full package so we had the ceremony in the planetarium, the cocktail hour in the second floor Spees building and the reception in Astronomy Hall. It was absolutely magical from start to finish. The ceremony was so unique and the guests got to enjoy a ten minute planetarium show while we grabbed a few moments for ourselves and snacked. Guests got to interact with the exhibits on the Spees building during cocktail hour and then had free access to the telescopes during the reception. Everything was perfect. Some things to note: you don't get access to the venue until 5:00pm which makes it a fairly late wedding. I strongly recommend paying for the extra hour at the end. I think it would be worth it as we felt like the party was a little on the shorter side. Also recommend you use Carrie Dove for catering. They were extremely professional from the start and know the venue well.
