“We stayed from Friday - Sunday, and it was the wedding of our dreams! On friday, we were able to set up the barn ahead of time and have our rehearsal dinner in the backyard. My bridesmaids stayed the night in the house, making the morning of so fun and stress free. It was DIY, and we were given the freedom to decorate and do whatever we wanted, bringing all of our Pinterest boards to life. We had the ceremony with the vineyards in the background, cocktail hour was behind the house and we moved inside of the barn for the rest of the night. We danced the night away and did a sparkler send off! So beautiful & fun! I recommend having your wedding here!”

“We got married on August 23rd at The Gardens at Heather Farm, and we loved our experience. The gardens were stunning, and Jenna (the event coordinator) was responsive and so helpful throughout the whole process. We loved being able to have an outdoor ceremony and mingling hour, and then an inside reception in the Camellia Room. We got many compliments on the venue from our guests. I also highly recommend Elisas Catering (we served street tacos) and rg Media (https://rgmedia-llc.com/contact) for photography/videography. I love the natural vibes of the Gardens that allow you to do minimal decorating but still create a beautiful wedding.”

We are a non-profit, Member supported organization nestled in the suburbs of the East Bay. The Garden itself is the foremost example of garden design with climate-resilient plants. Consequently, it is known as one of the finest dry gardens in the world. The Garden displays an expansive collection of plants that Ruth collected for over 60 years; many of which were in gallon-sized pots or smaller. As a result, every season offers something new in the Garden and visitors find themselves in awe of the boldness, beauty and longevity of Ruth’s hard work! The Garden’s mission is to preserve, promote, and enhance Ruth Bancroft’s world-class collection of water-conserving plants displayed in her exceptionally designed garden for the education, inspiration, and enjoyment of the public.

“Our wedding day was perfect from start to finish. I grew up going to Ruth Bancroft as a young girl and to see it expand into what it is today is truly amazing. The venue is a little oasis in the East Bay, yet you feel like you're in Joshua Tree or farther out of the Bay Area. It was truly the perfect setting for our romantic October wedding. Christina and Jessica were incredibly responsive and always answered thoroughly. It was very reassuring to have them there for our wedding rehearsal as well as our Day-Of Coordinator, Ealyssa Pepito, too. The garden provided staff that were ushering our guests, directing parking, and assuring that tables and chairs were organized accordingly. Everything flowed well and we had an amazing time. We had about 150 guests, and while were excited to have everyone we wanted there, it felt a bit cramped during dinner time. I would suggest keeping a capacity of about 130 for a bigger wedding in order for everyone to sit comfortably at dinner time. Perhaps it was arrangement too, but nonetheless, everyone had a great time! If you love being outdoors, surrounded by nature in a more intimate wedding setting, I highly recommend the Ruth Bancroft Garden more than ever. *Photos by Khariza Rae Photography!”

“Shadelands Ranch was the perfect venue for us! Christine was incredible in her communication with us start to finish, answering any and all questions I had. They are a small team but we felt well taken care of throughout the whole process! If you’re looking for a venue that feels like the perfect mix between beautiful backyard and nature, you found it! The landscaping is beautiful, there is so much space (we had 60 people but it could easily hold 150), it is both kid & dog friendly, tons of parking in the back lot, and feels completely private even though it’s on a main street. It made all of our wedding day dreams come true! It is also one of the most budget friendly options we found while still providing an incredible backdrop to such a special day. Do yourself the favor and BOOK!”

“We are so happy we went with Chabot Space and Science Center for our wedding. We wanted something unique that also aligned with our interests -- our background in physics, astronomy, and space. The staff at Chabot are incredibly kind and were quick to respond to our emails and questions. The space was incredibly expansive and unique for our guests. The planetarium ceremony was our favorite part, and we will treasure those memories forever.
