Q: What do you wear?

Attire is important! It depends on the weather but typically I wear a button-down shirt and a blazer. I have a few stylish jackets that I bust out on special occasions.

Q: Do you learn new songs?

Absolutely! As a performing singer/guitarist I'm always looking to expand my repertoire.

Q: What makes you different from other musicians?

I'm more on the indie/underground spectrum and my song choices reflect a wider range than what's typical at weddings. I'm more likely to perform a song by The Strokes than "Canon in D".

Q: Do you take music requests?

I always encourage people on the dance floor to come up and vibe with me. Many requests are awesome and perfect and I’ll absolutely spin them. Some are less perfect in my professional experience so I’ll either skip them or wait for the right moment. My couples and their immediate families always get a priority on song requests.

Q: Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

Absolutely! I actively mix the cocktail-hour set rather than simply set a playlist.

Q: Are you fully insured?

Yes and I can provide a COI for any event.

Q: What is your style?

I match beats seamlessly, I mix in-key and I use effects like filters and delays to smooth out perfect song transitions. Preparation is important but nothing compares to simply showing up and reading the energy on the dance floor. Sometimes I’ll stick mostly to the playlist if it’s working or sometimes I’ll totally pivot. Honestly the unexpected, spontaneous moments are often the funnest ones.

Amazing Night!
Richard is a spectacular DJ. All he wants is for you to feel happy and that your needs are met. He was very laid back and easy to work with and communicate our preferences to. His timing the day of was excellent - he did a great job mc'ing for us, and the music was exactly what we wanted. He also had so many options for us to choose from with his skillset, we felt like we had a lot of options to customize what we wanted. We have heard nothing but good things from our wedding attendees about how great the music was. Dancing on the night of our wedding remains one of the happiest memories of my life, and it's thanks to Richard. 10/10!

Richard is phenomenal and expertly skilled
Richard has been phenomenal from day one. He got back to our first inquiry quickly, walked us through the order of events, songs to choose, worked with the inspo playlists we sent him for all aspects of our day, and offers amazing extras like a vinyl hour, which we enthusiastically went with. Day of our wedding, he over-delivered. He made confident announcements, read the room for music vibes, provided amazing sound and mics for the ceremony, and provided the best dance floor sets. He is a complete delight and honor to work with. We are so grateful that he was available for our day and recommend him 10/10 times to anyone asking.

Good Vibes All Night!
Richard was the perfect DJ for our wedding! From the very beginning, he was easy going, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. Their communication style made planning the music for our big day a breeze. On the night of the wedding, they kept the energy high by playing all the songs we wanted to hear. The music flowed seamlessly and their work was flawless, creating awesome vibes all night long. We had a big mix of ages and he knew what to pay to get multiple generations dancing! Literally the perfect DJ. We couldn't have asked for a better performance to make our wedding so special and memorable. We received lots of compliments about him following the wedding day. Highly recommend!

Richard is the best!
Richard was literally a dream of a DJ! He was able to cut our songs together seamlessly for our ceremony, handled miscommunications with our day-of-coordinator without issue, and provided an amazing experience on the dance floor. Absolutely recommend him to everyone!
