About this venue

Our venue is centered in the heart of the UC Berkeley Campus. Built in the 1950's, Alumni House has a cozy and warm atmosphere, ready to welcome all alumns, friends, and newcomers to campus. The event space consists of both indoor and an outdoor areas. The Toll Room is a large open space preserved in its original mid century modern aesthetic with a full wall of sliding glass doors. It opens on to the patio surrounded by mature trees that create a charming canopy decorated with string lights. Surrounded by towering red woods, and a trickling creek, you can have the best of both worlds: an outdoor space with the convenience of being close to the city. Our wedding package includes access to entire event space including an indoor event space, patio, and kitchen.

Yes, but you will need to file permits with the UC Police Department at least 6 weeks out from your wedding. And an ABC licensed bar tender will need to serving alcohol at all times
No, but there are many campus parking garages around the area, as well as public parking garages and street parking. You can also request special event parking through the office of Parking and Transportation
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible.
Your reservation includes ten hours from start to finish, including the time it takes you to set up and clean up. Any additional time will be billed at $250 per hour. We allow events to go from 7:00am - 11:59pm. Anything rented through us will be setup before you arrive and that time is not included in your reservation time.

We require 30 days or more notice to cancel your event with no charge. If your event is canceled within 30 days, we charge 50% of your original bill.
Yes, we require $1,000.000 in event liability coverage.
