In addition to the Direct DJ Package: 5 hours (total) of continuous music (Add an hour for $100) Multi-colored dance lights (upon request) Wedding coordination and planning. Our wedding planning team can help coordinate with all your vendors (Photographer/Videographer/Banquet Staff)…preferably ours of course! – but if not, that’s still okay. Professionally groomed DJ attired in your choice of either a tuxedo or a suit & tie.

We are so appreciative to have found you for our wedding! Everything was amazing from the time we booked, communication from Alex and Jim, down to the assigning of our DJ, Dan and Photographer, Lisa. Could not be happier with both and they matched us perfectly. Our day was perfect thanks to you both. Our sneekpeek images are great too! Lisa showed us a bunch at the end of the evening and so excited to see them all! Thank you! Will highly recommend!

TLDR; the DJ fumbled in his duties every step of the way, making some unforgettably awkward moments throughout our special day, and management refuses to acknowledge any issues whatsoever. From reading other reviews it’s clear that Direct Entertainment employs some talented DJs. However, the experience with our DJ Chris was a continuous disaster from his arrival at our venue to the end of the reception, and the unprofessional response from Jim the owner regarding our feedback has been abysmal. Please learn from our mistake and do NOT book with Direct Entertainment for your wedding DJ needs. During the booking process Jim was polite and responsive and led us to believe we were in good hands with an experienced professional. We were mistaken. A couple weeks before our wedding we had a phone call with our assigned DJ Chris who largely seemed uninterested. He asked maybe one or two questions, and we did most of the talking about logistics. We provided him with documents detailing our timeline, a map of the venue where the ceremony and reception sites were clearly marked, and the contact information for our Day of Coordinator. We also discussed our need for two setups (which we paid a separate fee for), our expectations for our first dance, and important moments. We also made very clear we would not require his services for our cocktail hour which would have required a third set up. The Ceremony: Chris never contacted our Day of Coordinator before the wedding like we requested. He was very surprised and clearly unprepared for the distance of our ceremony location from the reception. We were married in a grassy area about 200 feet from the barn where the reception was held. At this point, in an effort to damage control, our DoC suggested Chris play music from the reception area if he was unable to get properly set up before guests started to arrive. No music played while our guests found their seats. Transitions between the groomsmen, bridesmaids, and my entrance songs were incredibly amateur. And terrible transitions would continue to be a theme throughout the evening. But the disaster that happened during our recessional will stick with us for years to come. We had selected Still Into You by Paramore and discussed that the song be started at the 10 second mark when we had our first kiss. We walked out of our ceremony in *almost* complete silence. After we, and the entire bridal party, had made it down the aisle a portion of the song blared for approx 2 seconds. Cocktail Hour: Chris then blared music from the reception area during our cocktail hour despite the fact we specifically told him not to, that the Best Man would be handling the music for this portion of the evening.

We DO agree with your recessional song being delayed, but it was played. It was a 5-7 second delay and an accident we have apologized numerous times for, but your demanding emails for a full refund and false accusations are absurd. Chris IS a great DJ, and your dance floorwas PACKED ALL night. Per our polocies as with every wedding, our DJ's check in thoughout the night with our couples. All times (3) were positive and NO indications of any issues or anyone coming up to Chris. Then, to the point of you saying Chris agreed to a full refund is also FALSE. We were incredibly disappointed with the services provided by DJ services by DIRECT ENTERTAINMENT. The DJ we hired from their company did a poor job of playing the songs from our carefully curated playlist, and instead spent too much time performing himself rather than focusing on keeping our guests entertained. He also completely forgot to do several special dances and announcements that were very important to us on our wedding day. Overall, the DJ's unprofessional behavior and lack of attention to our specific requests really detracted from the energy and enjoyment of our reception. I would not recommend using DIRECT ENTERTAINMENT for your wedding - there are much better DJ options out there that will actually listen to your needs and preferences.

He performed once during dinner, which you approved and went over extremely well with your guests. We discussed in great detail everything before the day of your wedding and did not forget any of the dances you requested. We just got married last weekend and could not have more fun at our wedding. We are ecstatic about how things went from the beginning when we hired Direct to our last dance. The communication and details leading up allowed us to not worry about a thing on our wedding day. Mike and Nate both were working in unison keeping things rolling smoothly and the music was exactly what we wanted. He mixed in a bunch of music to fit in with our list to keep the dancing nonstop all night. Our guests are still texting us how it was one of the best weddings they have been too. The value was there too for us! Thank you.
