Alpha DJ Package

In addition to the Direct DJ Package: 5 hours (total) of continuous music (Add an hour for $100) Multi-colored dance lights (upon request) Wedding coordination and planning. Our wedding planning team can help coordinate with all your vendors (Photographer/Videographer/Banquet Staff)…preferably ours of course! – but if not, that’s still okay. Professionally groomed DJ attired in your choice of either a tuxedo or a suit & tie.

In addition to our Alpha DJ Package: Unlimited continuous music for up to 8 hours Ceremony music/wireless microphone (optimal audio for your vows) with two setups if needed. Our experience with Direct Entertainment was overall good. Their online planning portal forms were helpful in thinking through all of the details and information that needed to be shared with our DJ. I did end up making a separate document with music notes and cues in order to get all of the details clearly organized. After being assigned our DJ we had multiple calls before wedding day to discuss things. He was very open to everything we wanted to do and took notes on the little details. Our DJ arrived and worked with our venue staff to set up without me even knowing! This made my morning very stress free. We had an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception with iffy wifi and the equipment worked with no problems. Every song that we requested throughout the night was able to be played.

Michael is the BEST
Michael was a wonderful DJ from start to end. He is an effective communicator and was quick to respond to our questions or concerns. We had a Desi wedding and wanted our DJ to be familiar with Bollywood music; Michael more than met our expectations. We provided Michael with an admittedly sparse playlist of both English and Hindi songs & a pretty vague description of the vibe we were looking for. But, Michael asked us clarifying questions to be sure we were all on the same page and curated a WONDERFUL playlist for the night. He followed through with the vibe being pretty mild, but lively during dinner, then absolutely LET LOOSE when it came time to get on the floor. The songs, the music, the rhythm, the pacing. Everything was absolutely perfect!! The way he had the songs flow from English to Hindi, back to English was flawless. All through the event, Michael was accommodating to our requests and changes to the itinerary, and even suggested ideas to make the night really memorable. We HIGHLY recommend Michael for any DJ needs- we knew nothing, and Michael made sure we were in the loop, but not overwhelmed with information. He made sure to take care of everything he needed to take care of for us to enjoy the night!

Somewhat disappointed
Our DJ was super nice, but we provided a full playlist of songs we wanted to hear and only about 10-20% of the songs played throughout the day were from our requested list. Half of those played from the list we had to verbally request during the dancing portion. I had a “do not play” list, too, and a couple songs from that made their way into the wedding mix, which was disappointing. I really liked our DJ as a person, but we tried our best to make everything easy during the dancing portion of the night (made a pretty extensive playlist, just needed to hit shuffle) and still most of the songs were not ones we requested nor really liked. The company was easy to work and very affordable, but unfortunately the music was easily my least favorite part of the day. It was our first time working with a DJ, so maybe there were things we could’ve done better, but I just wish us making the whole playlist and listing what songs not to play would’ve been enough for a successful night on the dance floor.

We do want to provide some additional context. There was an extended period when both you & Riley, along with many guests, were away from the reception area while we continued providing music from your playlist. We played the majority of the requested songs once the dance floor officially opened. There were also significant periods during the reception when the dance floor was not active, including extended gaps while guests were waiting for food and spending time at the bar. Also accommodated were last-minute requests, including playing a grand entrance song that was not on the original playlist while dealing with very limited Wi-Fi. We appreciate the positive comments about our service and personality, and we will continue to use feedback like this to improve how we communicate with couples before and during their events. Alexander with Direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with! I didn’t have a wedding planner so he worked with me to make sure everything was on schedule and ran smoothly. It truly was the perfect night and the celebratory dance he had all the guests do around my husband and I was so heartwarming. It was an incredible night and wished it could’ve lasted forever!

Beautiful Music
Direct Entertainment was the perfect choice for our wedding day. From our first conversation, they were clear about what they could do and polite in answering every question we had. They really listened to what we wanted and were accommodating with all our requests. When it came time to celebrate, they played the right song at the right moment, keeping our guests engaged all night long.
