Second song was incredible! They covered every single detail that goes with music and the ambiance of the reception. We had a harpist for ceremony and cocktail hour who was spectacular! Such a special touch. Our DJ, Cale, absolutely nailed it. Our friends were on the dance floor the entire night, the songs were spot on what we wanted and his communication with us prior to and during the wedding made us feel so confident and comfortable. Second song as a whole was SO easy to work with, organized and timely, we didn’t run into any hiccups with musicians, equipment, lighting, the Photo Booth - everything was perfect!!!

Seth was the best wedding DJ that we could have hoped for! We first met Seth at a wedding vendor expo event at our reception venue and were immediately impressed by the quality of his sound system and his ability to mix the selected soundtrack live. Seth is very communicative. In our first meeting with Seth, it was already immediately apparent that he was very experienced and very passionate about making our wedding day special and everything that we wanted it to be. We felt very comfortable that he knew what he was doing, and on the day of the wedding he executed flawlessly. As for the preparation work, Seth schedules multiple meetings with you leading up to your wedding day which eases a lot of the nerves heading into busy planning season. Seth also has an app that you can download on your phone which is awesome because it allows you to edit details of your wedding day timeline and playlist on-the-go as we were making decisions during the planning months. On the day of the wedding, Seth came prepared having downloaded all the music that we talked about ahead of time and he kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT (over 3 hours). Seth responded to the audience and was able to mix a variety of genres that we had requested (like country, pop, spanish music, musical songs, etc) over various sets across the evening. He also coordinated our photo booth which was a nice touch that all the guests really enjoyed and had a second person stationed there for help all night. We couldn't recommend Seth enough to other couples who are in need of a DJ! Thank you, Seth!

Randall de Leon Photography

5.0

Los Angeles, CA
  • Photographer
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $2,000

Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. Never in a million years would I have thought that my lifelong hobby could eventually become my career. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. So in 2019, I took that risk, changed my hours from full time to part time and put more focus on my photography. I booked my first gig later that year and have never looked back.

Awarded Best of Zola
Randall was recommended by our videographer (Call it Captivation Films, who we recommend). We really enjoyed his gallery and how natural his photos looked. We spoke to a few other photographers before him, but during our 1st video meeting he vibed well with us; he and I are both Fil-Am with history of working with pediatric patients (he as a PTA, me as a RN), and he and my husband shared a love for the same teams (Dodgers and Lakers). We were quick to book him after our meeting and are extremely happy with our decision to work with him! The photography packages he offers and his prices are amazing. Randall was great with communication and with providing us with recommendations (ie what to bring for flat lay, helping us pose, etc) prior to and day of the wedding. He did a site tour of our venue where we got to meet him and his kids in person. Prior to the ceremony, Randall worked with me, while the 2nd photographer worked with my husband. My husband said that the 2nd photographer fitted in well like one of the boys. He gave us a preview of the photos 1 week after our wedding and the full gallery of our wedding about 8-9 weeks after our wedding. We are so happy with all the photos! They are so beautiful and timeless, and they captured the essence of our wedding so well. **If you're looking for a photographer, Randall is your guy! I did the research for you :) Book him now! **

If you're planning to have a small intimate wedding, love the vibe of DTLA and want a venue with character and values inclusivity, The Oviatt is literally the perfect choice. Bonus point for being super affordable. The Oviatt team made it really straightforward and easy for us from the jump. From the moment we inquired, Gabe got back to us really fast. He informed us immediately when another couple was interested on the date we were looking at and gave us ample time to lock it in. Lindsey and Cami were our main point of contact after signing the contract, they provide you a welcome kit with all the info you'll need (such as vendor insurance and how to acquire it, parking, rental they can provide, layout guidelines etc.) and a checklist along with their due dates for everything they'll need from you. They even have a preferred vendor list in the welcome kit which is going to help you LOADS in wedding planning. Going with one of their preferred caterers is highly recommended. Oh and their bar? 1000/10 delicious drinks. We still think about the espresso martini. seriously. The value for money is incredible considering everything you'll get and zero hidden fees! We're absolutely in love with this venue. It made our special day even more magical because of its natural charm and the Oviatt team was so lovely to work with. Not only did we fall in love with this place more, our guests did as well 3 We miss everything about this art deco hottie of a place.

Los Angeles, CA
  • Band or Ensemble
  • Starts at $3,900

Hi, we're The Moon Units! We're known throughout California for our 650+ song list, our authentic on-stage chemistry, and performances that clients have called "better than the original bands" that recorded the songs. And because we're a real band, we offer prices that are just a fraction of what corporate booking agencies charge. We can't wait to play for you!

Awarded Best of Zola
The Moon Units made our wedding day truly spectacular! Every single guest says that a highlight of our wedding was the Moon Units. We loved how professional and flexible they were. Each member of the band is beyond talented and phenomenal. You must hire the Moon Units and I promise you will have the best event you’ve ever been to or hosted. The Moon Units performance at cocktail hour was incredible and then their performance for two dance sets was SO MUCH FUN! The bass player will even get on the dance floor and play with you which is just such a highlight! They are so versatile and know just about every song. Incredible. They can also help MC the wedding/event and that went flawlessly! It’s really amazing how they can cater to such a variety of ages/demographic with their music/vibe. Again every conversation we have about our wedding includes some glowing statement about the band. When you hire The Moon Units, you don’t have to worry about the details/setup, they are such experts at what they do. Thank you so much to the Moon Units for being a part of our big day. I could go on and on about how incredible and talented each musician is and how collectively they are just the best team and band. Your event will be phenomenal when you hire The Moon Units!

Aladdin Films

Aladdin Films Studio - For more than 20 years, we've been changing the Wedding Video industry, making every viewer watch and listen to our couples' love story, with their heart and soul. Leave it to us and make the 2nd best decision of your life, after choosing to marry your loved one, of course :)

Awarded Best of Zola
Aladdin Films made our wedding day absolutely enchanting! My cousin got married and used their service, I’ve never seen a more passionate person when she described their service. She was 100% correct. They went above and beyond with customer service and captured our wedding in a way that brings us back to our special day every time we look at our pictures and videos. I don’t know how, because I’m not a photographer, but they’ve managed to shoot the most special and important moments of our wedding day from so many different angles, and each of those photos can be easily put in a frame or on a canvas. That’s what I did actually. It was quite difficult to decide which photo to put on canvas because there were so many of them. We booked them for 8 hours, and they gave us more than 1200 photos, and we were left absolutely speechless. My advice to all couples out there is don’t think twice and book them as soon as you can.

Checkout my LinkTree for upcoming events, more reviews, and to visit my instagram. Let's team up and create memories! It is important for me to articulate, that I serve ALL PEOPLE EQUITABLY!! However, I do want to note that I do require that the couple has a Day of Coordinator (not the venue coordinator as they are different). Otherwise, I will also charge for coordination services as that puts the burden of day of logistics on the DJ.

Awarded Best of Zola
DJ Trey is THE BEST DJ!!! I wish we had even more time on the dance floor to keep letting him mix because he’s a genuinely fantastic DJ! Not just a DJ who sets up an iPhone or Spotify and lets it ride mindlessly, but a DJ who reads the crowd, takes input from the bride and groom, and uses his skill and best judgement to provide music that gets everyone on the dance floor. Literally everyone at our wedding was on their feet for dancing and loved all the music DJ Trey played! He also was fantastic in making sure all of the music played on their appropriate cues and was well-prepared. He was great to work with for our wedding and we can’t wait to throw another party just so we have an excuse to use DJ Trey again!

I was upstaged by a cake, but hey, it was totally worth it because our wedding cake was an absolute showstopper. Guests LOVED it! Juries baked a stunning masterpiece that was almost too gorgeous to eat (but we’re so glad we did!). Her fondant flowers were each a true work of art. Honestly, cutting into it felt wrong… art shouldn’t be edible, and yet we ate it up!! We ordered a bunch of other desserts for our after-party, and they disappeared before we could even reach the table! But I heard they were delicious! Just be aware that if you order from Juries, your guests will eat everything!

We cannot recommend Jackie enough! Jackie was essential in our wedding planning and coordination. She was extremely responsive, organized and proactive. If you are planning your first (and hopefully last!) wedding, go with Jackie. She has the experience, knows what she is talking about, has a great vendor list, knows what to expect and most importantly is an excellent problem solver. I felt like we were in good hands the entire time. She guided myself and my partner though logistics for the wedding day and then on the wedding day, she was proactive, did an excellent job wrangling our guests and bridal party. When the weather didn't cooperate, she took charge and helped keep things moving smoothly for us and our guests. Jackie also had excellent vendor recommendations, many of which we ended up going well and we are so happy we did. As a gay couple, it was also really important for us to partner with someone that was excited about planning a gay wedding and Jackie was not only enthusiastic but understood our vision and contributed great ideas. Our wedding reception venue was pretty unique and Jackie didn't bat an eye, she understood our vision perfectly and embraced it. I could do on, but I hope you read this and contact Jackie yourself!!

Though we live on different coasts, she always made herself available to chat and even flew over to do a bunch of site visits with us which we really appreciated. She listened to our expectations for our wedding and provided advice and thoughts along the way to make it even better. On the day of the wedding, you could just tell that Jane was a professional and a well oiled machine. She handled everything seamlessly (seriously, everything was perfect!) and the wedding was amazing largely due in part to Jane and her team! We also used Jon's DJ services and he was SO good - he had our guests dancing all night long right until the end of the wedding! Planning a destination wedding in Cairo, Egypt came with its fair share of complexities. We had guests traveling from all over the world and were trying to blend three cultures - Lebanese, Egyptian, and American. In Egypt, most wedding planners focus only on décor and receptions, so I found myself struggling with the schedule and flow of logistics beyond that. There were so many moving parts - the ceremony, the bridal party, the reception - and I didn’t have a planner or a day-of coordinator to help me execute the day smoothly. Alex stepped in and became my anchor. She gathered every detail and built an hour-by-hour plan that carried us through the day, from getting ready to the end of the night. That included the procession of the church ceremony, the musical cues, the reception entrance order, the dj song list order, etc. She helped me create breakout schedules to give to each vendor so they all knew what part of the day mattered for them to take part in. Alex brought so much understanding and cultural awareness to our wedding. She respected the way that weddings are done in Egypt, Lebanon, and America, and helped me blend certain moments from each tradition into our wedding. Every special moment flowed. I truly couldn’t imagine how the day would have went without her. She gave me peace of mind, comfort, and support that made me feel extremely take care of on the most important day of my life.

Tiger was an integral part of our wedding day. He absolutely killed it! He was so professional and communicative throughout the planning process. Day of the big day, everything from the ceremony to reception and speeches went so smoothly. He had a great setup, no issues with audio, and even brought some killer lights that helped set the dance vibes. We had so many guests commenting on how amazing the DJ was. He incorporated a sample of our names over the music that really killed with our guests during the dancing portion of the day. The customization was so great and memorable. Our friends are still quoting it! The entire day went so smoothly and the dance floor was grooving all night long. Tiger has amazing music taste. My MIL who doesn’t even like to dance couldn’t stop grooving on the dance floor! I wish we could have kept it going even longer!
