Had the best wedding the portofino. It was beautiful and so easy and fun for our out of town guests. The venue was beautiful and the staff was so helpful, from planning through to the day off. Chris and Rain were great! Loved the getting ready rooms. Loved the reception on the lawn. Loved the views. Loved the food! We got lots of comments on the food being great and the bartenders being lightening fast. We’d choose portofino again if we could do it all over.

I received more compliments on the flowers than literally any other aspect of our wedding weekend! Isabelle and Lovorka made our lives incredibly easy and went above and beyond during the entire year of planning. They drove an hour to our venues to refresh themselves so they could advise us on how to bring our vision to life before the big day. They had such an eye for design and how to tie in our vibe, vision, and aesthetic with the right floral choices. They were so willing to help with other small planning details and suggest things based off the thousands of weddings they have seen. Sante Social absolutely exceeded expectations at my wedding. Their mobile bar setup was sleek and professional, and the variety of drinks they offered kept all 120 guests happy throughout the night. Having four cocktails on tap plus wine was the perfect mix, and it really elevated the overall atmosphere of the celebration. The spicy watermelon margarita and the Moscow mule were huge hits, so much so that several guests made a point to tell me how much they loved them. In fact, one couple was so impressed that they asked for Sante Social’s information to book them for their own wedding this fall, which says it all. Beyond the drinks, the service itself was outstanding. The bartender was not only skilled but also incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure everyone felt taken care of. One of the most impressive aspects was the speed of service. Despite the size of the event, lines for cocktails rarely formed because of how quickly and efficiently drinks were made. That efficiency, combined with the top-notch hospitality, created a smooth and enjoyable experience for every guest. Thank you again to Sante Social for making the night such a success. I am already looking forward to booking them again for my next event.

On our big day, the ceremony harbour terrace setup was simply beautiful, elegant and poised - the ocean views made for an intriguing backdrop as we exchanged our vows. The staff worked seamlessly to transform the space from ceremony to reception, and everything flowed together beautifully. For the value, we found the Sonesta to offer gorgeous waterfront venues and top-notch service at reasonable prices compared to other beachside locations in the LA area. Let’s start with the venue: Perfect space for 90-105 people. Roughly 9-10 tables of 10 people would occupy the space nicely. Entrance area has a nice space for your foyer table and a Photo Booth. Make sure your photo booth brings their own hotspot just Incase the WiFi is not up to their standards. The location is perfect in Redondo Beach. The actual venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and has a very nice view of the marina. The venue is well lit and the bar is situated nicely where your guest can mingle and have a drink without interrupting the flow of the room. The venue also came with our cake from Torrance bakery which was extremely delicious. The food: The food choices are amazing. Vida sat down with us and helped us cherry pick the meals we wanted to serve. The plates courses were too good to be true and the food was of the best quality and flavor. Highly recommend. The Coordinator: Vida was simply phenomenal at what she did. She made great recommendations and the day of made sure things were executed to my wife and I’s liking. Vida alone is enough to sell this venue for me. I can’t thank her enough. If you’re thinking about this venue for your event or wedding, stop by Vida’s office for a casual meet and greet and find out why this place is the perfect booking.

We had a great experience with Second Song! Planning was super easy with the Rob team during the 9ish months leading up to our wedding. On our wedding day, DJ Shredy was THE ICON of the night. We had built the playlist for the pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, and he very much followed that our wishes. We really appreciated that because music is a huge part of our relationship. He was also very responsive over email and phone. He had a great personality on the day and was the perfect blend of an MC who was communicative but not overly on top of the mic. During the dance party portion of the evening, he rightfully threw in choices of his own that we hadn't thought of and I am so glad he did. He brought life to the party and we have gotten compliments since our wedding night about how much fun everyone had and how perfect the dance floor was. From the start, Seth’s professionalism and easy-going nature made the planning process stress-free. His use of the Vibo app was such a game-changer—it allowed us to easily upload our song selections and ceremony/reception timeline details, making communication and organization effortless. We gave Seth just a handful of songs to set the vibe, and he curated an incredible playlist that perfectly matched the energy we wanted. What impressed us most was how attentive he was to the dance floor—when guests weren’t feeling a particular track, Seth quickly pivoted and got everyone back on their feet. By the end of the night, the energy was sky-high, and our friends and family couldn’t stop raving about how much fun they had! I was obsessed with my wedding hair and makeup. It was exactly what I requested (light coverage makeup that lasted all day and hair half up hair with waves that also stayed all day but wouldn’t get all knotted from a bunch of hair spray). I was crying or sweating for about 80% of the day and it all lasted perfectly without ever looking cakey/streaky/etc. As someone who never gets my hair/makeup done, I recommend doing a trial. I found I wasn’t super great at articulating what I wanted and my inspo photos were not cohesive. Tiffany was great in helping with each step and giving me different options! She is communicative and flexible. She’s also super sweet and relaxing which is the right type of energy for the morning of your wedding! I would recommend her to any of my friends.

Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. 10/10 would recommend randall!! We booked him for our engagement shoot and wedding and we are beyond appreciative and impressed. RDL is the only photographer my husband and I could agree on. We liked his photography style, the quality of the work, the price, and his personality. He even guided us with the timeline to make the most of the time and photography. For both the engagement shoot and wedding day, he guided us and made us feel comfortable. We’re def not models but he made us look great! We were able to get some posed shots and some Candids. He was PATIENT with us and didn’t make us feel awkward at all. The day of the wedding, I got so many compliments from our families with how they appreciated his presence. As both DJ and MC, James truly went the extra mile to make our day run seamlessly, and made us feel so special. He was even accommodating to our last minute music requests and was very patient with us. In addition to being extremely professional, prepared, and organized, he is such a down-to-earth and kind, genuine person. He even captured some videos of our first dance and grand entrance that we wouldn't have had otherwise because we didn't have a videographer. This was so thoughtful and truly above and beyond! We personally added on the photo booth option and are glad we did, as it was a hit. His rates were very reasonable as well especially for the package we got. Everyone raved about James and the music. He made our wedding day exactly the party we hoped for - the most fun we've ever had! Highly recommend James & All The Above Events for your next wedding or big event.

I’m not even sure where to begin to describe how amazing Events by McKenna is at what they do!! McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! Every time we had a question or a crazy idea, she had an answer right away and she would do everything she could to make it happen. One thing that we were really hoping for was getting a disco ball above our dance floor, but since we were outdoors, it wasn’t looking promising. McKenna was the one who made sure that we got our disco ball, and it was absolutely perfect! That’s just one example of the many ways McKenna ensured our dream wedding would become a reality. On the day of, McKenna and her team were so efficient and handled everything so that my husband and I could relax and focus on ourselves. We got to our venue and everything was already done and ready to start the day! McKenna was amazing at time management throughout the day, and she was so helpful to not only us, but our families, wedding party and guests as well. Everything went perfectly on schedule and all the crazy ideas that we had came to life with no issues! It was truly the best day of our lives and it wouldn’t have been possible without McKenna’s help! Can’t overstate what an incredible experience we had with the Oviatt. Not only was the venue perfect for wedding, but the staff truly made the entire planning and day-of experience so smooth and welcoming. The space is gorgeous and one-of-a-kind - we didn’t have to decorate at all, there were so many little spaces and pockets guests to explore and mingle in, all the original art deco decor and furnishings were so cool. We didn’t have to add anything (but could have brought in outside rentals and vendors if we wanted) - the venue rental includes seating for the ceremony and reception, the rooftop lounge was fully furnished was lounge furniture, the terrace is already decorated with bistro lighting, twinkle lights and ivy walls, and there is lounge seating throughout the indoor space. Also included were cocktail tables, easels for signage, tables for our buffet set up. All of these things at other venues we looked at were either additional costs or we’d have to bring in additional vendors to supply. What really made the experience though was the Oviatt staff - Lindsey and Gabe are both so friendly, approachable, welcoming and supportive. Other venues we looked at were all business, had a “take it or leave it” vibe and kind of made us feel like we should be grateful for even to be given the chance to have an event there; Lindsey and Gabe were the exact opposite - they weren’t just trying to rent out a space, they were helping us host our wedding and doing everything they could to make sure our plans were realized. They provided us with so much information beyond what was required of them - they had a whole packet with a suggested timeline for planning, a Planning Pod tool that enabled us to track our vendors and plan out our floorplans and seating charts, lists of vendors we needed to consider and decisions we needed to make. Gabe had an actual meeting with us to discuss what we were looking for in a venue and our wedding, and have is all of this information we even booked the space. Lindsey followed up with us periodically in the months leading up to the wedding to remind us of what we needed to be taking care of and making sure we were on track. Both of them were always generous with their time answering our many questions and being flexible in accommodating our requests. We felt so supported and cared for throughout the entire process, and felt more like we had friends in our corner than like we were coordinating with a vendor. Truly cannot say enough about how wonderful this team is and how appreciative we are. We looked at practically every venue in the downtown/northeast LA area, and this one not only blew away the competition in what they offered, but it was also the most affordable option! It’s really like having the efficiency of an all-inclusive venue without the restrictions. And of course all of our guests loved it - we are still getting comments on how unique and beautiful the space was, and how much everyone enjoyed having so many different spaces to explore and congregate throughout the evening. Best decision we could have made.

We hired a photographer from Aladdin Films, and we could not be happier that we did that! He was very professional but in a strict way, he made us feel comfortable during the posing parts, and controlled the whole flow of the photo shoot process. The photos came up more than great, they are fantastic. I could not wait to share them with my parents and friends. My mother burst down crying (as usual), and I'm with her. We're so grateful that we found them. Thank you!
