Working with Jessica from Not Jess A Planner was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We met over a year before our date, and she was there with us every step of the way. From our very first meeting, she immediately understood our vision and brought it to life through mood boards and thoughtful options that made every decision feel easier to manage and exciting along the way. One of the things I appreciated most about Jessica was her ability to balance our dream of a luxurious wedding with the reality of not having an unlimited budget. She was always honest about when it was worth investing for quality, and equally honest when we could save or DIY without sacrificing the guest experience. We never once felt pressured, only supported and guided with honesty and so much care. Our venue was a complete blank slate, in terms of finding vendors to support our big day. Jessica not only transformed it into something even more breathtaking, but also accommodated 150 people in a way that had never been done before. I truly don't think that our vision could have come to life as perfectly with a different planner. Even more impressively, she managed all of this from Los Angeles, while our wedding was in Paso Robles, only needing to visit the venue once beforehand. On our wedding day, Jess was everything I needed and more. She was calm, supportive, encouraging, and the ultimate hype woman. And the team she brought with her was just as incredible. Each of them were professional, knowledgeable, and seamless in making sure everything ran perfectly. Because of them, our day was flawless. There is not a single thing we would change, and I know that’s because Jessica thought of absolutely everything and was constantly advocated on our behalf. We hired Second Song to DJ our wedding and we are totally happy with the results! Rob was great to work with and provided different options for the services. We ended up with a great balance of great cost and services that met our needs. Rob was equally great during the contracting process since we wanted a few updates to their standard contract. Rob then lined up Kev the DJ and Kev was fantastic! We had a couple of meetings to work out the music we wanted Kev to play, and he provided really good suggestions on how best to organize the music. On the day of the wedding Kev joined us at our hotel before the wedding for a quick rehearsal of the ceremony. At the wedding Kev brought incredible energy as the MC and kept the music flowing perfectly as the DJ. Kev was so great sometimes I was hanging out with him. Suffice it to say that we highly recommend Second Song as your first choice to DJ your wedding or another event!

We are so grateful to have had Randall as our photographer for both our engagement and wedding day. From start to finish, he was a dream to work with professional, warm, and so thoughtful in his approach. For our engagement session, we wanted to recreate the Japan vibes since we got engaged there, but we weren’t sure how Little Tokyo in Downtown LA would translate in photos. Randall completely exceeded our expectations. Between the Venice Canals and Little Tokyo, he perfectly captured the aesthetic we were hoping for, and the final shots were stunning. I’m not even sure where to begin to describe how amazing Events by McKenna is at what they do!! McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! Every time we had a question or a crazy idea, she had an answer right away and she would do everything she could to make it happen. One thing that we were really hoping for was getting a disco ball above our dance floor, but since we were outdoors, it wasn’t looking promising. Can’t overstate what an incredible experience we had with the Oviatt. Not only was the venue perfect for wedding, but the staff truly made the entire planning and day-of experience so smooth and welcoming. The space is gorgeous and one-of-a-kind - we didn’t have to decorate at all, there were so many little spaces and pockets guests to explore and mingle in, all the original art deco decor and furnishings were so cool. We didn’t have to add anything (but could have brought in outside rentals and vendors if we wanted) - the venue rental includes seating for the ceremony and reception, the rooftop lounge was fully furnished was lounge furniture, the terrace is already decorated with bistro lighting, twinkle lights and ivy walls, and there is lounge seating throughout the indoor space. Also included were cocktail tables, easels for signage, tables for our buffet set up. All of these things at other venues we looked at were either additional costs or we’d have to bring in additional vendors to supply. What really made the experience though was the Oviatt staff - Lindsey and Gabe are both so friendly, approachable, welcoming and supportive. Other venues we looked at were all business, had a “take it or leave it” vibe and kind of made us feel like we should be grateful for even to be given the chance to have an event there; Lindsey and Gabe were the exact opposite - they weren’t just trying to rent out a space, they were helping us host our wedding and doing everything they could to make sure our plans were realized. They provided us with so much information beyond what was required of them - they had a whole packet with a suggested timeline for planning, a Planning Pod tool that enabled us to track our vendors and plan out our floorplans and seating charts, lists of vendors we needed to consider and decisions we needed to make. Gabe had an actual meeting with us to discuss what we were looking for in a venue and our wedding, and have is all of this information we even booked the space. Lindsey followed up with us periodically in the months leading up to the wedding to remind us of what we needed to be taking care of and making sure we were on track. Both of them were always generous with their time answering our many questions and being flexible in accommodating our requests. We felt so supported and cared for throughout the entire process, and felt more like we had friends in our corner than like we were coordinating with a vendor. Truly cannot say enough about how wonderful this team is and how appreciative we are. We looked at practically every venue in the downtown/northeast LA area, and this one not only blew away the competition in what they offered, but it was also the most affordable option! It’s really like having the efficiency of an all-inclusive venue without the restrictions. And of course all of our guests loved it - we are still getting comments on how unique and beautiful the space was, and how much everyone enjoyed having so many different spaces to explore and congregate throughout the evening. Best decision we could have made.

I’ve heard of Aladdin Films from my friend, who 2 months before the wedding couldn’t stop talking about their team and a wedding video her sister got from Aladdin Films. Of course, after such a review from my best friend, I had to consider Aladdin Films for my wedding day. But once I got on their website, their hyper-creative, beautifully done videos and fantastic photos didn’t leave me any choice other than contact them. And after talking to Iman about their services, he left me no choice other than hire them. His enthusiasm and creative approach to work was spectacular. But still, I was a little bit skeptical till the day of my wedding. But as soon as I met them in person, I was 100% sure that they will create a masterpiece. Words cannot describe how hardworking their team is. They came half an hour before the wedding to observe the place and create a plan on what, where, and when they will be doing certain things. Their service was on another level, but everything comes down to one thing. The result. It didn’t take them long to edit everything, and when we sat with the whole family on our couch to see the result. Everybody was in complete delight. We couldn’t stop laughing, crying, and wondering how they could take such a good shot. It seemed that they had not 3 but 10 cameras. Top-notch editing, perfect angles, and great sound design are just some of the characteristics of that video. And pictures can be displayed in the Louver. Their artistic retouching photos were so good, that we are going to print them on huge canvases and put them all on the walls of our house. We immediately send them out to all of our relatives and hurried them up to hire them ASAP because as they said, they often get booked up. We’ll definitely hire them again on all of our family events, and if you are a couple that is looking for a videographer & photographer to capture the best moments of your wedding day, look no further, Aladdin Films is an obvious choice.

We had the pleasure of having The Moon Units perform at our wedding, and they were absolutely amazing! We enjoyed working with Dylan, he was incredibly accommodating and responsive throughout the entire process. From the initial planning stages to our big day, Dylan and the band were very professional, helping us sort out all the specific details well in advance. One of the highlights was when they specially learned a song for our first dance. It was such a personal touch that made the moment unforgettable. They also performed a beautiful acoustic rendition of "Can't Help Falling in Love" for our ceremony, which was perfect. They kept the energy high and the good vibes all night long. DJ Trey is THE BEST DJ!!! I wish we had even more time on the dance floor to keep letting him mix because he’s a genuinely fantastic DJ! Not just a DJ who sets up an iPhone or Spotify and lets it ride mindlessly, but a DJ who reads the crowd, takes input from the bride and groom, and uses his skill and best judgement to provide music that gets everyone on the dance floor. Literally everyone at our wedding was on their feet for dancing and loved all the music DJ Trey played! He also was fantastic in making sure all of the music played on their appropriate cues and was well-prepared. He was great to work with for our wedding and we can’t wait to throw another party just so we have an excuse to use DJ Trey again!

We are incredibly grateful Xenia was our engagement/wedding photographer and couldn't be happier with the results! My husband and I knew it would be an important task hiring a photo/videographer for our wedding. There’s SO many options and styles out there that it’s also daunting to commit to one. We found Cruzio Studios on The Knot and we are incredibly grateful we did. We were drawn to their journalistic style of capturing love between partners: intimate, natural (doesn’t look too posed), synergizes with the location, delicate, and sweet. After having phone calls with other vendors, we were most excited to work with Cruzio. Not only do they have an amazing portfolio (easily accessible on their beautiful website), but they have great packages to offer their clients. Our package came with an engagement shoot and the results were mind-blowing. I know that sounds hyperbolic, but my partner & I don’t show a lot of PDA and the Cruzio team captured our love so sweetly. When we got the photos and video short, we kept on saying, “That’s us!!” Given their portfolio, we trusted their expertise and artistic eye. Not only were they kind while providing clear directions and great ideas, but they’ll do their best to get the optimal shot. They’re immensely generous with their talents considering all the thought and detail they put into their product. Also, they’re really easy to talk to. We felt like we were just hanging out with friends who are very talented photo/videographers! Cruzio Studios definitely did not disappoint on our wedding day. I’m definitely a planner, so I had a list of group photos we wanted for our wedding day. The Cruzio team had that list with them and ensured we got the shots. They are so professional and stuck to our wedding day timeline with such grace. And although our venue spaces weren’t the biggest, they adapted. To that, my husband & I never felt like they were ever in the way or super noticeable. And, of course, their final products are amazing. They captured the excitement leading up our first look & ceremony and joyous celebration during the reception. Also, the romantics are simply so pretty and caught our love perfectly. It’s so lovely to look back at our special day through their talents and lenses. We consider ourselves fortunate to have had them in our wedding dream team. We found Lulan Studios about nine months before our wedding day. We were immediately drawn in by their professionalism and their reputation. Lulan is an inclusive photographer who was very receptive to our wedding vision. He and his team were incredibly kind, supportive, and helpful all throughout the process. We elected to go with Lulan Wang himself for our photographer who worked with an associate. After our initial consultation we were turned over to Shannon who was our go to contact for day to day clarifications and vendor contact until Lulan took over just before the wedding. Shannon was immensely resourceful and responsive. She communicated with our coordinator very efficiently and was always on top of our booking. We are very grateful to her as well for making the process so easy and for continuing that communication after the fact. On the day, Lulan and his associate were spectacular. It was clear his associate had more than enough talent for the job just like Lulan, but they divided and concurred by using two different types of cameras for different types of shots. We regret not doing an engagement session with them, but we will likely return for an Anniversary session in the future. We didn’t even need one though, because he is skilled enough that he understood us as a couple immediately. They made us feel comfortable and confident. They hyped us up and moved through the shot list masterfully. Nothing was missed and we captured far more than we expected. Please look through our attached photos as they speak for themselves. One of the most exciting moments was when Lulan handed us a little blue book filled with about fifteen physically printed preview photos DURING THE RECEPTION. A lovely surprise that absolutely shocked me. Turnover was 4-6 weeks and we got ours just before the six week mark right on schedule. We were floored. They are jaw-dropping. We ultimately got 950 photos permanently digitally available for high resolution download and access to a shop with impressive options for prints and albums of a wide array of types and sizes. I’m thrilled to show them to you here and implore you to consider booking Lulan Studios. We trusted in their ability from the beginning and we were not disappointed. They are among if not the absolute best in the business.

I truly can’t say enough amazing things about Carissa and her team at Positively Charming Weddings. She was the very first vendor I hired for my wedding, a year and a half in advance. Within the first 2 minutes of chatting with Carissa the first time, I knew we were the perfect match. She is incredibly organized, compassionate, an amazing listener, and isn’t afraid to take the lead and make decisions when necessary. She is thoughtful, calm, has a wealth of wedding industry knowledge and was able to provide personalized suggestions based on my preferences at every turn. To be honest, I was originally super nervous and anxious to hire a wedding planner, as I am a very type A person because of my job as a programs and event planner. But Carissa exceeded all expectations and truly was able to allow me to relax and enjoy my wedding weekend without a worry in the world. She was a problem solver every step of the way. For example, she offered to manually fixed my seating chart the day before the wedding and found a print shop willingly to print very specific last minute signage (both things that were my fault that they were delayed/wrong). She kept not only me, but my husband and both families on track leading up to the wedding, provided monthly checklists, was available via phone and email for my questions, and even provided bridal party itineraries the weekend of. Her and her team were incredibly easy to work with, and our other vendors and bridal party members said the exact same thing. She can work with anyone, with any personality type, and makes you feel important and heard. If you want someone to go above and beyond for you, look no further! She will make your day everything YOU want it to be. Couldn’t recommend her and her team more…I walked away with a new friend!

Sandy was so helpful, professional, and adaptive! The second-to-last photo was of my trial, which I wanted to change, and Sandy perfectly captured my vision, making me feel like my best self on my wedding day. I felt so beautiful and glamorous, while still being able to recognize myself as someone who doesn’t wear makeup super often (see the last pic for comparison). She did a great job, smoothly adapting when I cried off my first set of lashes; she replaced them and fixed the makeup promptly. I needed a hair stylist, and she brought Jari, who’s good and direct and made both my mother and I so pleased with our hair. Sandy and Jari were major assets to my best day ever!
