Some background about me is that I am a twenty-eight year old, a military spouse, pet mama, and mama to a sweet bundle of joy. Molly and her husband were awesome!! We hired Molly for day-of coordinating services and let me tell you she is worth every penny and more!! She stayed on us about getting the things done that needed to be in the months before and was just the perfect guide throughout the entire process. Molly helped us contact our vendors as we approached wedding day and really worked a lot behind the scenes (even though she had just had a baby!). I put all my faith and trust in Molly and her husband come day-of and I (the Bride) didn’t have to stress A SINGLE THING. It was later on that I heard of a couple mishaps that happened throughout the day but neither myself or my husband even knew anything went on until days after, that’s how swiftly Molly took care of things! Also, they had added the cutest little touches to our decor the morning of that I only found out from through “before” pictures. They are so thoughtful, gave 110%, and were such a pleasure to work with. And we can’t forget her “Better Together” neon sign that pulled our whole backdrop together!! I very much recommend!!

His use of the Vibo app was such a game-changer—it allowed us to easily upload our song selections and ceremony/reception timeline details, making communication and organization effortless. We gave Seth just a handful of songs to set the vibe, and he curated an incredible playlist that perfectly matched the energy we wanted. Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. Never in a million years would I have thought that my lifelong hobby could eventually become my career. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. So in 2019, I took that risk, changed my hours from full time to part time and put more focus on my photography. I booked my first gig later that year and have never looked back.

We can’t say enough great things about Randall! Our journey with him started when he captured our surprise proposal, and from that moment, we knew he was the perfect photographer for us. He also did our engagement photos, and when it came time to choose a wedding photographer, it was an easy decision—it just felt right to have him document another milestone in our lives. James was so much fun at our wedding! He was a great MC/DJ and was a hit with all of our wedding guests. He communicated with us throughout the wedding process and kept in touch with both me and my wedding coordinator whenever we came across any details we needed to discuss. My only concern was not having him longer at the wedding. My husband and I still talk about our wedding playlist and how we wish we had more dance time with our guests.

My partner and I’s venue search ended the second we ascended in the historical elevator to the penthouse of the James Oviatt Building. The Oviatt venue is a multifaceted piece of beautiful Art Deco history that lends itself well to whatever event you are trying to throw. In our case, they hosted our wedding. We will forever be grateful for their immense care and kindness leading up to, on, and after the big day. We met the President Gabe first, who had his own wedding at this venue before he managed it. He made us feel right at home and answered every question we could muster. Our one hour showing turned into a two and a half hour conversation where his care and passion for the venue and his clients became very clear. We felt a connection right away. He shared a wealth of great advise and reassurances and gave us an impeccable pool of preferred vendors. We were sold in minutes. Every event is different, but my partner and I did not feel the space needed any help to become beautiful. The architectural art of the space is breathtaking and unique from the valet area outside of the Cicada Club all the way to the terrace. We saved a fortune on a florist. Who needs one when everything is already so classy? Speaking of class, the Director of Events Lindsey took point on execution and was our resource during the planning process. I as an individual am not the most communicative. I needed someone with that attention to detail and she delivered. After giving her all the venue required specifications (seating chart, insurances, etc,) two conversations was all it took for her to equip the venue with everything it needed and make it gorgeous. It seemed effortless for her. Not a spec of dust or dirt to be seen and the staff was respectful, efficient, and welcoming. I had a panic attack because I forgot to ask them for valet and she was able to get her people on it without issue the same week as the wedding. (Don’t be like me, but that is a perfect example of how on top of it they are.) They had EVERYTHING we could have wanted for a downtown metropolitan wedding and then some. If they didn’t have it? They knew exactly where to refer you. One of my personal favorite features was their completely customizable LED lighting strips on the hedges that lined either side of the rooftop. We had them a bright warm light for dinner and then a cycle of rainbow colors for dancing. They are inclusive and welcoming to any and all who come to visit. We felt valued, respected, and well cared for. It truly was the best day of our lives and we owe it all to The Oviatt. I implore to to reach out to them. I can say with certainty that you won’t be disappointed and whatever it is you are planning will become a memorable experience unlike any other.

I’m not even sure where to begin to describe how amazing Events by McKenna is at what they do!! McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! Every time we had a question or a crazy idea, she had an answer right away and she would do everything she could to make it happen. One thing that we were really hoping for was getting a disco ball above our dance floor, but since we were outdoors, it wasn’t looking promising. McKenna was the one who made sure that we got our disco ball, and it was absolutely perfect! That’s just one example of the many ways McKenna ensured our dream wedding would become a reality. On the day of, McKenna and her team were so efficient and handled everything so that my husband and I could relax and focus on ourselves. We got to our venue and everything was already done and ready to start the day! McKenna was amazing at time management throughout the day, and she was so helpful to not only us, but our families, wedding party and guests as well. Everything went perfectly on schedule and all the crazy ideas that we had came to life with no issues! We had the pleasure of having The Moon Units perform at our wedding, and they were absolutely amazing! We enjoyed working with Dylan, he was incredibly accommodating and responsive throughout the entire process. From the initial planning stages to our big day, Dylan and the band were very professional, helping us sort out all the specific details well in advance. One of the highlights was when they specially learned a song for our first dance. It was such a personal touch that made the moment unforgettable. They also performed a beautiful acoustic rendition of "Can't Help Falling in Love" for our ceremony, which was perfect. They kept the energy high and the good vibes all night long. They curated a great set list for us and played a wonderful mix of oldies, classic rock hits, and modern pop that we and our guests loved. We can't recommend The Moon Units enough. Started as a group of DJs in 2013, Dart Collective has now grown to include numerous live musicians and performers, all with the same simple goal of offering a more customized and personal approach to music curation at weddings and special events. Dart has also grown geographically, serving Los Angeles, San Francisco and Austin based clients locally, and destination clients all over the world. At Dart, we are all working DJs and musicians. Music is our passion and we want to share it with you and your guests. Our main goal here is to elevate and personalize your event so that it uniquely represents you.

Working with Sam, Marco, and Julian was so seamless and easy. We really wanted to avoid a DJ that played tired 'wedding' music and actually created a fun night of dancing with our millennial Brooklyn crowd. We vibed with Sam immediately on intake meeting, who even 'scouted' our venue to confirm the existing audio setup worked (helping us save some on rentals). Coordinating with Marco and working with DJ Julian on the day-of was a breeze and delivered exactly the energy we had hoped for. Couldn't recommend enough!

Hiring Tavi was easily the best thing we could have done for ourselves when we started wedding planning. We really had no idea what we were doing, I was super anxious about everything, and Tavi guided us through it all with grace, expertise, and humor. She helped us figure out what we actually wanted our wedding to look like (a rainbow fruit and vegetable disco party), what was important to us, our budget, our vendors, and most importantly, she kept me from losing my mind (which, let's be honest, is probably the biggest reason you hire a wedding planner, right?). She put together an amazing vendor team that brought our vision to life even more than we could have hoped for. After the wedding, we got so many compliments about how great it was, and how it was the best wedding they'd been to, no exaggeration. You can see it in our photos--everyone had a blast, and we loved every second of it. Our parents were so impressed by how Tavi and her assistant handled everything on the day of--and she'd also had a wedding the day before, so that's saying something. She was always on her A-game, always responsive, and we would hire her again in a heartbeat. And you should hire her too!

DJ Trey is THE BEST DJ!!! I wish we had even more time on the dance floor to keep letting him mix because he’s a genuinely fantastic DJ! Not just a DJ who sets up an iPhone or Spotify and lets it ride mindlessly, but a DJ who reads the crowd, takes input from the bride and groom, and uses his skill and best judgement to provide music that gets everyone on the dance floor. Literally everyone at our wedding was on their feet for dancing and loved all the music DJ Trey played! He also was fantastic in making sure all of the music played on their appropriate cues and was well-prepared. He was great to work with for our wedding and we can’t wait to throw another party just so we have an excuse to use DJ Trey again!

I recently worked with Trang for a wedding at the Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades (I own a wedding DJ company). Trang's communication leading up to the event was extremely thorough, and really helped everything run smoothly the day of the wedding. Everything came together the day-of and the decor was beautiful. The timeline was on schedule the entire night. Trang was also pleasant and very easy to work with.
