Some background about me is that I am a twenty-eight year old, a military spouse, pet mama, and mama to a sweet bundle of joy. I created this wedding company to share the joy of a couple’s special day! Planning my own wedding was such a thrill. It was a roller coaster of emotions as I put every detail into it. Molly and her husband were awesome!! We hired Molly for day-of coordinating services and let me tell you she is worth every penny and more!! She stayed on us about getting the things done that needed to be in the months before and was just the perfect guide throughout the entire process. Molly helped us contact our vendors as we approached wedding day and really worked a lot behind the scenes (even though she had just had a baby!). I put all my faith and trust in Molly and her husband come day-of and I (the Bride) didn’t have to stress A SINGLE THING. It was later on that I heard of a couple mishaps that happened throughout the day but neither myself or my husband even knew anything went on until days after, that’s how swiftly Molly took care of things! Also, they had added the cutest little touches to our decor the morning of that I only found out from through “before” pictures. They are so thoughtful, gave 110%, and were such a pleasure to work with. And we can’t forget her “Better Together” neon sign that pulled our whole backdrop together!! I very much recommend!!

From the start, Seth’s professionalism and easy-going nature made the planning process stress-free. His use of the Vibo app was such a game-changer—it allowed us to easily upload our song selections and ceremony/reception timeline details, making communication and organization effortless. We gave Seth just a handful of songs to set the vibe, and he curated an incredible playlist that perfectly matched the energy we wanted. What impressed us most was how attentive he was to the dance floor—when guests weren’t feeling a particular track, Seth quickly pivoted and got everyone back on their feet. Faulks Floral Co. was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our very first interaction, their communication was easy, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful - they really listened to our vision and preferences. Jonathan came to the ceremony location (my father's backyard) and really understood the space and what would work best. I enjoyed working with him and had absolute confidence everything would be beautiful. I did not even go to the ceremony space or reception space to check on anything. I’m not even sure where to begin to describe how amazing Events by McKenna is at what they do!! McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! Every time we had a question or a crazy idea, she had an answer right away and she would do everything she could to make it happen. One thing that we were really hoping for was getting a disco ball above our dance floor, but since we were outdoors, it wasn’t looking promising. McKenna was the one who made sure that we got our disco ball, and it was absolutely perfect! That’s just one example of the many ways McKenna ensured our dream wedding would become a reality. On the day of, McKenna and her team were so efficient and handled everything so that my husband and I could relax and focus on ourselves. We got to our venue and everything was already done and ready to start the day! The Oviatt Penthouse was the first and only venue we toured. It was love at first sight. We wanted an Old Hollywood/jazz nightclub vibe and the venue just fit the bill. The interior is fully furnished and it will transport you back in time to an Art Deco era. Very minimal wedding decorations are needed. Outside, the view of DTLA day or night will take your guest’s breath away. Once contract was signed, the planning process was easy peasy. They have a helpful Preferred vendor list so we were able to book a great caterer and day of coordinator right away. The Oviatt planning team, Lindsey and Cami, were so kind and patient with my multiple questions. Day of the wedding, the Oviatt staff were a super hero team. They were in constant communication with each other and my wedding coordinator to run things smoothly. Also very sweet and friendly. Shoutout to valet, security, and bartender! 3 All in all, our wedding was a magical day thanks to the Oviatt’s wonderful atmosphere. After it was all over, I received multiple messages from guests raving about my wedding. Some told me it was one of the best and most unique wedding experiences they have ever attended. So if you want an affordable venue with historical character, I highly recommend booking The Oviatt Penthouse for your wedding.

The Moon Units made my wedding. It all started when my wife (fiancee at the time) forwarded me an Instagram clip of them because she knew I was set on hiring a live band. I took my sweet time to cast a wide net and to follow, interview, and compare A LOT of bands. We went out to watch our top two choices and when we saw The Moon Units' positive energy, ability to rock the crowd, and musical skill, we immediately knew that they were meant to be our band (just like when we saw the venue we wanted, we just knew). They are highly accommodating, musically versatile, and truly professional, Hollywood type performers who will seal the deal on upgrading your wedding from already great to one of the greatest your guests have ever been to. The three things that most impressed me about them during my wedding were: 1) they gave it their all on every song whether there were two people on the dance floor or the whole group (and believe me, your guests will notice this too), 2) they were able to improvise to seamlessly integrate with all my other vendors and moving parts without any interruptions, as if my wedding was truly an entertainment production, and 3) whether they were singing rock, hiphop (yacht version), metal, r&b, pop, Kpop, oldies, or jazz, they performed as if it was their main genre. We requested them to learn two of our favorite songs that we loved but were skeptical that they could perform because of how hard they were to sing, and man did they prove us wrong! Each of the musicians are friendly, multi talented/multi instrument, down to earth people who love what they do and have a great time performing. They output pure sound candy and also look great doing it. Your stage will be glammed up and filled out, and your guests will compliment and remember your band choice even more than your food, I guarantee it. My wife and I are now semi-groupies (and I'm not ashamed as their gigs take me back to the best night of my life), and we aren't the only ones! That's something that no Youtube clip or online review can really convey. Good luck and have a great time wedding planning, but hire The Moon Units!!!

If you are a couple in search of a wedding planner, look no further. Tavi (pronounced Tevi, like Chevy) is an incredible planner with an amazing eye for details. She’s very thorough, detail oriented, kind, funny and easy to work with. The perfect person to help you through one of the most stressful times of your life. She really took a lot off of our plate, and took EXCELLENT care of us on our wedding day. Our wedding day was actually perfect and I attribute much of the success of the day to her and her wonderful assistant Jessica. We also added on the design option, and she really brought our vision to life. She designed all of our stationary for us, printed it, and had each personalized card for every guest. The florist she reccomended Allison (The Occupied Vase) just absolutely nailed it. So many compliments and I felt very well taken care of. Not to mention, our venue made a huge mistake and booked another event during our wedding rehearsal and she rearranged her life to be there for us at a way earlier time (none of us wanted to be there so early, but the venue gave us no choice). And of course she was there smiling, never complaining, in such a good mood putting us all at ease, and running a very successful rehearsal for us. So, even if you don’t think you need a planner, you should highly consider spending the money to have someone who is a complete professional, who is always early, who is dedicated to your wedding 100%, (even when you don’t always have time to be). We love Tavi!! She rocks!!! :)

Started as a group of DJs in 2013, Dart Collective has now grown to include numerous live musicians and performers, all with the same simple goal of offering a more customized and personal approach to music curation at weddings and special events. Dart has also grown geographically, serving Los Angeles, San Francisco and Austin based clients locally, and destination clients all over the world. At Dart, we are all working DJs and musicians. Working with Sam, Marco, and Julian was so seamless and easy. We really wanted to avoid a DJ that played tired 'wedding' music and actually created a fun night of dancing with our millennial Brooklyn crowd. We vibed with Sam immediately on intake meeting, who even 'scouted' our venue to confirm the existing audio setup worked (helping us save some on rentals). Coordinating with Marco and working with DJ Julian on the day-of was a breeze and delivered exactly the energy we had hoped for. Couldn't recommend enough!

However, I do want to note that I do require that the couple has a Day of Coordinator (not the venue coordinator as they are different). Otherwise, I will also charge for coordination services as that puts the burden of day of logistics on the DJ.

DJ Trey is THE BEST DJ!!! I wish we had even more time on the dance floor to keep letting him mix because he’s a genuinely fantastic DJ! Not just a DJ who sets up an iPhone or Spotify and lets it ride mindlessly, but a DJ who reads the crowd, takes input from the bride and groom, and uses his skill and best judgement to provide music that gets everyone on the dance floor. Literally everyone at our wedding was on their feet for dancing and loved all the music DJ Trey played! He also was fantastic in making sure all of the music played on their appropriate cues and was well-prepared. He was great to work with for our wedding and we can’t wait to throw another party just so we have an excuse to use DJ Trey again!

Tempoe Entertainment Djs were an excellent choice for our wedding. Their communication style was thorough, clear, and upbeat throughout the planning process. On the day of, they kept the party going strong even when my husband and I were pulled away to other things. The people at the reception had so much fun dancing the night away thanks to Joe, the DJ, who was excellent. Joe led the guests in fun dances and kept us all pumped up! Even the groom, who is not a big dancer (yet!), was super impressed with Joe's work - which is saying a lot. Tempoe provided great value and quality service that contributed greatly to making our special day perfect. Joe also helped a lot with getting us to think through some of wedding details. His input helped us be more sure as we finalized. If we have another party of any kind, we will hire Tempoe! Just so great overall!
