I’m Jackie, a Southern California based wedding and event planner with 15 years of experience. My background includes a decade as a professional DJ, years in corporate events, and time running a small catering and private chef business. For the past 8 years, I’ve been focused on weddings and freelance production, with a love for multicultural and one of a kind celebrations.

I work best with clients who appreciate me for being myself, fun, passionate, and a little entertaining. I’m so grateful to those who’ve supported me with kindness and trust along the way. As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and being both Latina and Native American, I bring my full identity into this work. Amazing value
This review is overdue! Jackie went above and beyond as our day-of-coordinator. We threw a backyard wedding in Oct 2025 and did the majority of the planning ourselves, but needed someone to guide us in the final stretch and to be the logistics point-person for day-of. She was that and way more. She met with us in person and via zoom multiple times in the months leading up to the wedding, and was available by text and email when we needed some extra guidance. She always had a fantastic attitude, great advice for our planning, and was well-organized. On the day-of, she was critical to the smooth operation of our wedding, doing everything from managing our entire timeline and all our vendors, to receiving our cake that was delivered during cocktail hour, to releasing our guests to the buffet in a very specific order I wanted (vegetarians first, so they got the limited veg meals!). I love this shot of her in our photo booth! Would definitely recommend Jackie for day-of coordinating, although with the level of engagement and organization she has, I'm sure her full planning services are excellent too.

WOW Jackie is absolutely amazing!!! She went above and beyond to make our special day go smoothly and as well as making the planning process a breeze. There was so much communication and organization, I felt assured we were in great hands. Our venue was a little difficult to work with, but Jackie handled it all with grace. I would HIGHLY recommend Jackie for any planning/coordination services. Thank you so much for making our day that much more perfect

Jackie is the BEST event planner you'll ever need
We cannot recommend Jackie enough! She was an AMAZING event planner. My husband and I live in Ireland (although I'm originally from LA), so it was crucial to hire someone we could rely on to be on top of everything and give expert advise. Her organization skills and attention to detail were a life saver. She really helped put us at ease from our initial call and subseqent video chats after that. She understood our vision and really helped us make it come to life. Removing any unnecessary stress from our special day. It turned out so much better than we could've imagined. Simply the best!
This review is long overdue! Working with The Social Event Planner was an absolute pleasure. Jackie and her team were quick, efficient, professional, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire planning process. Their work was truly amazing and the decor they created for our wedding was absolutely beautiful and way better than anything I could create. Jackie provided exceptional day-of coordination and assistance with decorating the cocktail hour and reception spaces. All I had to do was create a mock-up table and provide the decorations. She was responsive, quick to jump in and tie up any loose ends, and made our wedding day as stress-free as possible. Jackie went above and beyond my expectations, and she and her assistant ensured everything looked perfect and assisted with cleanup after the wedding. We are so grateful to have found Jackie via social median and would highly recommend The Social Event Planner to any couple planning their wedding. I would not has been able to deal with the stress of a wedding without her.

Jackie rules !
Every detail was thought through, every hiccup handled before we even knew it existed, and on the day itself, she created this seamless, joyful flow that let us actually enjoy our wedding instead of worrying about logistics. Our family and guests kept saying how “everything just felt so easy”—and that’s entirely thanks to Jackie. She was our guide, our cheerleader, and our sanity-saver all rolled into one.
