I’m Mark Addington, owner, founder, emcee, DJ, public speaker, and most importantly…creative at heart. I started my DJ career over 20 years ago for fun and fell in love with it along the way. My goal is to make this choice a simple, informed and fun part of the wedding process. I’m here to communicate and plan pre-wedding so you and your guests can leave it all on the dancefloor the day of the wedding.
This journey started with a love for music, my dad’s vinyl and 2 turntables. I feel like I’ve lived a million lives but music and entertaining has always been a constant. I’ve worked at a casting agency, on movie and commercial sets, acted, modeled, DJ’d on the SF club scene, rocked thousands of events and even worked at my favorite job Pixar! I’m lucky to have so much amazingness in my life and am often told that you can hear my smile through the phone. But enough about me, let’s talk about you! Mark Addington Events was the perfect choice for our wedding entertainment. From the start, his communication style was clear, expressive and detailed, which put us at ease throughout the planning process. Mark was so easy and fun to work with, serving as a fantastic MC who helped transition smoothly between the different parts of our event. He also provided excellent music advice to ensure we had the perfect soundtrack for our big day, and made sure the sound equipment was set up and operated flawlessly. All our guests raved about the great music and energy on the dance floor. We couldn't be happier with our choice to pick Mark!

My wife and I had the great pleasure of working with Mark for our wedding, and I have nothing but the highest recommendation to give for him. From start to finish, communicating with Mark was a treat. His energy and excitement for his work is infectious - talking with him and walking through the emotions we wanted to elicit throughout the day was actually what pulled us out of the grind of planning the wedding and made us start feeling excited for the day to arrive. Even as early as our first meeting, I could tell that Mark had a good feel for the energy and vibe we were aiming for, and we knew we were in good hands, with Mark even having (solicited!) input on how to use each of the genres of music we liked at different points during the event to manage energy levels, a credit to his experience and care for what he does. As the day approached, Mark remained easy and flexible to work with, allowing us to make numerous changes to various song choices and lengths for our dances even just days before the event. After providing a few songs to serve as the guidelines for what we wanted to have played for open dancing, Mark had our full trust to flesh out the rest of the night, and when I requested to play a song that I had recorded myself, Mark went as far as to pay me a few bucks for it, out of respect for the art. That's like the equivalent of over 1000 streams on Spotify, just saying! On wedding day, meeting Mark at the venue was like meeting an old friend, just as excited for us as any of our guests were. Due to Mark's level of preparation and communication ahead of time, we didn't need to discuss any further details or set up with him, and he completely nailed the brief. From the various songs played during the ceremony, to microphones, to emceeing the dinner and speeches, to the first and parental dances, to bringing the house down at the end of the night, everything went off without a hitch, and he also brought us cookies from his wife?? I'll be recommending Mark to any future wedding couples in my life for hopes of getting to see him work his magic again, and if you're looking for someone to bring excitement and care to your event along with the foresight that comes with experience in the business, Mark is your guy. Thanks for an amazing day, Mark!
The Most Perfect DJ
Our DJ, Mark, was absolutely perfect! He paced the entire night beautifully: every transition, announcement, and song choice was spot on. The music selections were incredible and kept the energy flowing from start to finish. His vibe, professionalism, and ability to read the crowd truly made our wedding so special and unforgettable. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ and are over the moon that we had him as part of our day. We highly, highly recommend him!
The Perfect DJ for Our Big Day!
Hiring Mark as our DJ was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He didn’t just play music; he created an experience. From the start, he was easy to talk to, super responsive, and made us feel completely at ease. You can tell he’s passionate about what he does, and it shows in every detail. We knew we were in good hands. We came to him with some unique ideas, including a TikTok-inspired bridal party entrance and a glow ball area with custom lighting. Not only was he totally on board, but he brought everything to life seamlessly. The energy throughout the night was exactly what we wanted: fun, upbeat, and filled with good vibes.
