    Working with Jackie, Cookie and the About Joy Events team as a DJ allows me to focus in on MC'ing and rocking a dance floor. They have a high standard and vision set from the beginning, so you know as a vendor the couple prepped and ready when they reach out. About Joy Events are attentive, easy to work with and professional to say the least. They are great with communication and put together a rock solid timeline. I love working with them!

    Hiring About Joy Events was, hands down, the best decision that I could have made for my wedding (other than the groom, of course). Working with Jackie was absolutely fantastic! Not only was she a professional in every sense of the word, she was also wonderfully fun and energetic. Jackie often said that she hoped to "spread joy" through her work: the joyfulness and love that Jackie brought with her transformed the entire planning process. Before I hired Jackie, I was behind schedule, stressed out, and overwhelmed. Jackie completely changed the game. She not only got things organized, she also worked directly with the vendors, was unbelievably flexible and generous in her time, and was so incredibly helpful in everything from brainstorming ideas (Jackie is INCREDIBLY creative and has so many beautiful ideas!) to addressing any problems that came up during the planning and during the event itself. She turned stress into excitement, and worry into joy every step of the way. Every time I got off the phone with Jackie, I felt inspired and optimistic. The team that she brought with her on the actual day of the wedding was wonderful: Cookie and Katie were kind, supportive, and all-around awesome. Jackie, I cannot thank you enough for everything that you did for me. I am so grateful to About Joy Events for making my wedding happen.

    Jackie made my dream wedding possible. We first started working together before the pandemic, and from the beginning she was an amazing advisor that helped me deal with the difficult decisions a bride-to-be has to make. I was very impressed by her proactiveness, professionalism, and wealth of knowledge about how to make the day special. She checked in with us regularly over the 2 year delay and helped us manage the challenging process of rescheduling multiple times. As we got closer to our wedding day, Jackie made sure we had every detailed lined up, including things my husband and I didn't even consider. She helped take care of signage, shipping, confirming with vendors, table/space set-up, and more. On the day of our wedding, she directed vendors, guided guests, and dealt with unforeseen emergencies. Our wedding could not have gone smoother and it was in a large part because of Jackie! We are incredibly thankful and can't recommend her enough!
