“From securing vendors to day-of coordination to random little questions (like can we get L&B’s pizza delivered to our venue late at night? and where can we get a selfie mirror welcome sign?), Marissa was there to offer her guidance. Early on, we talked about communication and budget to set expectations. We have pretty busy schedules, but Marissa was really understanding and flexible, even when we could only check-in via emails or have calls in the evening. She also let us know what to expect budget-wise for each vendor and helped us prioritize where we wanted to splurge or save. Marissa was also really thoughtful when looking for vendors for us. She recommended a photographer who had shot tea ceremonies before, and made sure to find hair and makeup artists who were familiar with working with Asian features. Day-of, our venue was a bit disorganized and there were some issues with some of the vendors, but because we had Marissa there, we didn't need to worry about the little things and could just enjoy our day! She also had great ideas for DIY or adding personal touches for the wedding. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without her!”

“Claire was the best wedding planner we could hope for. She was with us every step of the way, from looking at venues to the very end of big day. She was very friendly, very meticulous, and did a great job keeping us on schedule during every part of the process, from booking the venue, to picking out a cake caterer, to doing a rehearsal schedule the day before. We never felt overwhelmed as she laid out everything we needed to do in detailed spreadsheets. She helped us schedule visits with wedding venues and coordinated calls with all of our vendors. She had a great list of recommendations for catering, photography, a photobooth, a DJ, and everything in between. We always felt like we were in the best of hands and that everything was under control. Claire did a great job coordinating with all of the different the points of contact for each vendor so we didn’t have to worry about anything but enjoying our day. Whenever we had a question for a vendor she would make sure that the right person was asked and could answer it. She even joined most of the calls we had with our vendors to make sure we got all the information we needed. She also was very encouraging about ideas we had for making our wedding unique and showing off our personality. When we decided to use pez dispensers as escort cards for each guest, she was super excited and made sure we had everything we needed to execute our vision. She was able to turn our ideas into a reality that wowed us! When it got closer to the wedding she made sure that we had a finalized schedule that we could go over and ensured all the vendors and speakers were on the same page. The day of the wedding was absolutely wonderful! She made sure that everything was running smoothly and that we knew where to go. She made sure that we got some quiet moments with each other to take it all in. Thanks to her we had such a magical evening. The day after she put together a highlight reel on instagram that we’ve watched about 2000 times - we are seriously obsessed with it! Overall she made sure we had the best wedding possible and one of the best most special days of our lives. We would highly recommend working with Claire! We hired April as our 90-day wedding coordinator, and looking back, if we had known how incredible she was going to be and how much stress she would take off our plate, we would have hired her from day one. One of April's greatest strengths is her ability to command a room with clarity, confidence, and professionalism while also having an incredibly kind and supportive presence. “Talk about making the impossible, possible! I had worked with MVW Events to plan a surprise engagement picnic for my then girlfriend, now wife. Around the time, I was wrapping up my graduate program and set to graduate the day after I planned on proposing. MVW helped me set the vision for the picnic and coordinated sourcing vendors for the right deals on items that would make the moment extra special. It RAINED!! so the park area I had in mind did not allow folks on the grass after fresh rain so we had to change plans on the fly. Morgan and her super creative brain proposed she and her team set up everything in my apartment instead. That way we could have everything we needed for the occasion within arms reach. She even secretly met me while I was out with my partner at a school event to grab my apartment keys and head over to set everything up while I was out. When we got home, when I say the place looked like MAGIC!! We were both blown away (but of course I had an idea of what to expect). And of course, it went perfectly from there. “We didn't think we needed wedding coordinators because we weren't planning a big, elaborate wedding. We wanted something small and meaningful—an intimate celebration with about 60 - 70 close family and friends —and figured we could handle most of the planning ourselves. We chose a restaurant, sent out invitations, and thought we had things under control. But our thinking shifted once we started considering the logistics of the actual day—including seemingly simple things like how to arrange chairs for the ceremony. Friends and family offered to help, but we wanted them to enjoy the event as guests, not worry about the details. After speaking with Ingrid and Gloria and reviewing their very reasonable proposal, we felt good about bringing them on. Over the next two months, they kept us organized, offered thoughtful and constructive suggestions, and were a steady source of calm and encouragement. They listened earnestly to what we wanted and helped bring it to life in a way that felt both personal and polished. We also really appreciated their help communicating and coordinating with vendors, including the restaurant, our photographer, and our musician. It took a lot of pressure off our shoulders and gave us peace of mind knowing everything was in good hands. What we've come to realize is that the best work of wedding coordinators is often invisible to guests—but when it's done well, the event flows effortlessly and feels just right.
