“From securing vendors to day-of coordination to random little questions (like can we get L&B’s pizza delivered to our venue late at night? and where can we get a selfie mirror welcome sign?), Marissa was there to offer her guidance. Early on, we talked about communication and budget to set expectations. We have pretty busy schedules, but Marissa was really understanding and flexible, even when we could only check-in via emails or have calls in the evening. She also let us know what to expect budget-wise for each vendor and helped us prioritize where we wanted to splurge or save. Marissa was also really thoughtful when looking for vendors for us. She recommended a photographer who had shot tea ceremonies before, and made sure to find hair and makeup artists who were familiar with working with Asian features. Day-of, our venue was a bit disorganized and there were some issues with some of the vendors, but because we had Marissa there, we didn't need to worry about the little things and could just enjoy our day! She also had great ideas for DIY or adding personal touches for the wedding. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without her!”

One of April's greatest strengths is her ability to command a room with clarity, confidence, and professionalism while also having an incredibly kind and supportive presence. She knew exactly how to keep things moving and keep everyone on track, but she also had the tact and soft touch I (the bride) needed during those overwhelming moments when I felt ready to fall apart. And when unexpected challenges arise, April is absolutely incredible under pressure: Our outdoor ceremony location had to change completely because of rain. “Talk about making the impossible, possible! I had worked with MVW Events to plan a surprise engagement picnic for my then girlfriend, now wife. Around the time, I was wrapping up my graduate program and set to graduate the day after I planned on proposing. It RAINED!! so the park area I had in mind did not allow folks on the grass after fresh rain so we had to change plans on the fly. Morgan and her super creative brain proposed she and her team set up everything in my apartment instead. That way we could have everything we needed for the occasion within arms reach. She even secretly met me while I was out with my partner at a school event to grab my apartment keys and head over to set everything up while I was out. When we got home, when I say the place looked like MAGIC!! We were both blown away (but of course I had an idea of what to expect). And of course, it went perfectly from there. Within a week, Chelsea made us a shared document/spreadsheet where she organized all our vendors, to-do lists, timelines, etc. When I talk about everything was organized (even when to write vows, parent gifts, when to organize bathroom baskets and what to put in them), I mean everything.. Having access to this helped our Type A personalities feel so much better. For months, we met on a regular basis, and Chelsea always came with an agenda to help us focus on what needed to be done or updates about what she had done during those two weeks. There was full transparency which we really appreciated. After hiring some wonky vendors (before we met Chelsea), she pushed to make sure she personally had meetings with them and prepared them to deliver on the day of. She also created design mockups and floor plans so that we could really envision what the venue would look like. The month of the wedding, Chelsea handled everything having to do with vendors and the venue (double checking things, COIs, contacts), giving us brides the time to relax and get excited for the big day (without a to-do list ourselves). And day of, wow! She killed it. She and her team handled everything so that we didn’t have to. We had 180 people and a dozen vendors. But still, every time she saw us, Chelsea assured us everything was perfect (AKA she was putting out fires left and right, but we didn’t know that). And we ran EXACTLY on time, thanks to her. We also heard from so many of our vendors that she was amazing to work with on that side too. It’s difficult to put your trust into someone when planning a wedding, but speaking for myself and my partner, you can trust Chelsea every step of the way. She truly cares about her couples, and she loves what she does. She’s always reachable, great to bounce ideas off of, and wants to make your dream wedding come true. While being a perfectionist planner, Chelsea is also the kindest person. We can’t recommend her enough.”

“I used Sparrows Daughter to coordinate and plan the entirety of my bachelorette weekend - this was 17 girls flying from across the country to Palm Beach and it went off perfectly!! MaryLouise was hands on the whole weekend but started working on the events month before. Flights were coordinated, arrival times synced, a full weekend of activities scheduled. MaryLouise worked with multiple vendors, including boat rentals, yoga studios, local busses and restaurants and the weekend went off without a hitch. She also worked with a local designers to create perfect welcome workout sets that everyone loved, and negotiated a great group rate. She was extremely accommodating and I feel like really listened and understood the ethos of what I wanted the weekend to be. I willllll be using her again for my next birthday!!!”

“We didn't think we needed wedding coordinators because we weren't planning a big, elaborate wedding. We wanted something small and meaningful—an intimate celebration with about 60 - 70 close family and friends —and figured we could handle most of the planning ourselves. We chose a restaurant, sent out invitations, and thought we had things under control. But our thinking shifted once we started considering the logistics of the actual day—including seemingly simple things like how to arrange chairs for the ceremony. Friends and family offered to help, but we wanted them to enjoy the event as guests, not worry about the details.
