    Absolutely Exceptional

    We cannot say enough amazing things about Cait and the Modern Rebel team. From the very beginning -- nearly a year ago -- Cait was nothing short of incredible. She didn’t just help us plan a wedding; she helped us discover and articulate our vision, and that vision became the anchor for every decision along the way. She guided us through every step -- from identifying vendors who aligned with both our aesthetic and our personalities, to navigating contracts, timelines, and logistics with ease and expertise. She balanced grace and accountability so beautifully: offering patience when we slipped behind, but also gently keeping us on track so that nothing was left to the last minute. She was never just a planner; she was a partner, a sounding board, and a calm, grounding presence in the whirlwind of planning. We had some bold and unconventional ideas, and Cait didn’t just support them -- she helped bring them to life in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Her thoughtful guidance, creativity, and steady reassurance made the entire year of planning feel not just manageable, but meaningful. On the wedding day, when we walked into the venue before the event began, we were completely overwhelmed with emotion. Everything was beyond anything we had imagined -- truly picture perfect.     Top Takeaway: Our wedding day would not have been as particularly and perfectly us without Cait and Chelsea at Modern Rebel. They took seriously our devotion to blending our families’ cultures and history into the aesthetic and spirit of the day, and they found vendors who not only respected but celebrated that commitment in their own professional expertise and expert execution. Prep Process: Cait and Chelsea paced the wedding planning process so that we had enough time to consider every tiny detail without every choice being overwhelming. Their onboarding process ensures that every element is covered, including details we never even knew to consider. They developed a Trello workspace that mapped out every month, every task, and every question we would cover over the course of a year. Every time we had a question about the next step, Cait already had a spreadsheet, questionnaire, or form prepared to document and structure our next move. Investment and Value: The overwhelming abundance of wedding vendors is the biggest reason we sought a wedding planner. We needed a partner and a guide to interpret our desires and connect us with the best professionals who would not only align with but celebrate and enhance the vision for our wedding. Cait and Chelsea overdelivered. Their vendor matching process was thorough, considerate, creative, and responsive. From deep experience, they know who will really connect with you. It’s not just a simple vibe match, it’s finding people with an artistic practice that resonates with you – photographers, florists, musicians, stylists, stationers – and they understand how to take the amorphous desires of completely green people and translate them into concrete asks. They built an experience that was more than the sum of its parts. Creativity: Cait and Chelsea treated every out-of-left-field idea seriously and saw a way to add it to our vision while staying true to our mantra: warm, thoughtful, and cohesive. We joked about, among other things, a sweetheart bench instead of chairs for our table; an art installation that captured the “invisible strings of love” instead of a guest book; to incorporate bingo into our escort cards; to project a video on a massive wall for our grand entrance. In Cait and Chelsea’s hands, every small wish became a reality. They took us seriously, asked “Why not?”, and they made it happen in grander fashion than we could’ve fathomed.

    Couldn't recommend Modern Rebel more!

    Amy and Cait planned our wedding, and it was everything we could have hoped for. They took the time to understand our vision, style, and taste, and brought everything together so beautifully.     Photographer OBSESSED with Modern Rebel

    I've been lucky enough to work with Modern Rebel's amazing team of planners a lot as a wedding photographer - on everything from intimate nuptials to New Years Eve blowouts and at everything from traditional venues to art spaces and even an enormous block party wedding - and just nobody is doing it like them! It has been extraordinary to watch them grow from scrappy young upstarts to industry leaders (I mean, look at the features in Vogue, the New York Times, and in The Knot's commercial!). Under Amy's guidance they always create fun, custom, organized and easy wedding days that truly reflect the couple and their community. Speaking of community, I love how much Modern Rebel gives back, prioritizing local/queer/BIPOC/woman-owned companies, being mindful with their suggestions, and giving back a portion of the proceeds. I always know my job is going to be a lot easier and the couple is going to be a lot more care free when Modern Rebel is planning the day!
