Alex officiated our wedding and completely exceeded every expectation we had. He crafted a bilingual ceremony in English and Spanish that wasn't just translated—it was genuinely written in both languages, using each for what it expresses best. It was beautiful for our English-speaking guests and meaningful in an entirely different way for our Spanish-speaking family and friends. His entire approach was romantic, personal, and our guests were blown away. He kept the focus entirely on love and on us as a couple, creating a ceremony that was inclusive and joyful without ever losing sight of what the day was really about. As two grooms, it meant everything to have someone who honored our relationship with such care and intention. I've been to a lot of weddings. I have never heard so many guests spontaneously rave about an officiant the way they did about Alex. Weeks later, people are still bringing it up. He is the real deal.

Why Knot Wed
Rating: 5.0 (6 reviews)
New York, NY
  • Offers 10 ceremony types
  • Starts at $385

I'm Jenn, NYC's only officiant who combines custom-written ceremonies with premarital coaching, so I can support you on your wedding day and in building the marriage that follows. I create personalized wedding ceremonies for couples throughout NYC, Long Island, The Hamptons, & New Jersey. Every ceremony is thoughtfully crafted around your unique story, relationship, and vision for your day. As the officiant, I'm the first person to welcome your guests and set the tone for the celebration. My goal is to create a warm, meaningful, & memorable ceremony that feels authentic to who you are & leaves a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

When our intended officiant was unavailable for our short-notice elopement in NYC, found Jenn on Thumbtack. She responded within a few minutes, & offered to chat that evening (at 10 p.m., no less!). I felt so comfortable with her after our conversation that I booked her immediately. Her professionalism, knowledge and enthusiasm for what she does put me so at ease - a blessing when one suddenly has to pull off an impromptu wedding in NYC, while living in another state ... with 10 days notice. She checked in with me regularly to ensure everything was moving along well, which was reassuring (when you feel you're herding cats, it's great to have a German Shepherd reliably in the wings). She knows the marriage requirements in NY well, and was a helpful resource. The contract she sent over was transparent & clear re: terms, timing, expectations, etc. I was surprised when she sent a few questions to me and my fiancé, so that she could craft our vows; I hadn't expected that kind of personal, heartfelt interest in our marriage ceremony. She then delivered to us her draft of our vows, in the event we had any edits for her (absolutely none). We met in-person for the first time at the clock in Grand Central - she arrived early (we arrived within the 15-min. grace period) and met up with our photographer. One presumes that a wedding officiant one selects online will be purely transactional - fill out the forms, say the words, sign the paper, thank you, goodbye. I hadn't expected the sudden emotion of speaking our vows, even just alone in the middle of Grand Central on the busy afternoon before Thanksgiving. Jenn was so on top of everything - selecting, with our photographer, the perfect spot for our ceremony, in the Grand Hall; handling the little things one might not have thought about (where do I set down my wrap/purse/bouquet, while I say my vows?) ... She was so warm and had made such effort to learn about us in a short period of time. I was so focused on my fiancé and on her during the ceremony that I didn't even notice the crowd of people who'd surrounded us during our vows (until we kissed, and they cheered). I'm so glad that she was the person to marry us. She enabled me to relax and let the joy of it all to happen, without worrying about a thing. I'm calling it the, 'Jenn Vows Bubble' - even amidst hundreds of strangers, it felt as though our wedding was taking place in a private little space with just Jenn, me and my (now) husband. I could not recommend Jenn more highly as an officiant!

Reverend Ron Sheppard
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
New York, NY
  • Offers 9 ceremony types
  • Starts at $450

Reverend Ron ensures a stress-free wedding ceremony so that you can fully enjoy your special day along with family and friends. He will meet with you in person, or, if you prefer, through Zoom or phone. In addition, he will offer you a special love questionnaire. Based on meeting you, talking to you, and the special questionnaire, he will offer you a totally unique ceremony designed just for the two of you.

When we started to plan our dream wedding, we thought it might be quite a bit of a challenge. As a couple of Baseball fans, our wish was to have a Baseball themed wedding and be married on a Baseball field in Central Park New York on the 4th of July. Not to mention we live in Brisbane Australia and thought how do we go about this. We found Reverend Ron Sheppard through a general Wedding website. We reached out to Rev Ron who replied within 24 hours. After our initial website contact we continually communicated via emails and international phone calls. We advised Rev Ron of our unique Wedding wishes. Being a huge Baseball fan himself, he was open minded to our request, Rev Ron was very supportive, encouraging and able to further assist with our planning, by providing a variety of contacts of other Wedding Services that we could not easily find, due to the fact we live and were travelling from Australia and did not know anyone at all. Even though it was a National Public Holiday, Rev Ron officiated our Baseball themed Wedding Ceremony with no second thoughts or reservations. We are extremely happy with Rev Ron for his very professional and personal service. He is passionate with amazing attention to detail. The willingness to accommodate our unique requests. Eg a Baseball Themed Wedding. Just recently we reached out to Rev Ron again to Officiate Renewing our Wedding Vows on that same Baseball field in Central Park this year on a return trip to New York. Rev Ron was very happy to do this for us. Rev Ron was able to give us the Dream Wedding we wished for and continues to send us best wishes messages on our Anniversary and other special times of the year. We highly recommend him and are forever grateful for Reverend Ron Sheppard. Kim and Grant Williams Brisbane Australia

Barbara Ann Michaels, Jester Of The Peace
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
New York, NY
  • Offers 10 ceremony types
  • Starts at $850

It's our professional and personal pleasure to honor you two in your own words and ways, at your wedding at HumorVille. We embrace interfaith and intercultural unions, as well as marriage equality. We are your warm and experienced guides. Jester of the Peace was originally the award-winning wedding officiating business of Rev. Barbara Ann Michaels. Over 10 years and 560+ weddings, she won many wedding industry awards. After pausing through the pandemic years, she has now leaned into her career as an experience designer and opened HumorVille as the only immersive art wedding chapel in New York City, where love and fun are one, with her team.

I figure if you are here reading this, you are busy with a thousand things, planning your wedding. Certainly one of the most important decisions will be to choose the person who will be your officiant--who will perform your ceremony? My wife and I had the honor and pleasure of working with Barbara Ann Michaels (Jester of the Peace) this year. We were married in July and decided upon Barbara after looking at many other options. A friend recommended her services. And WOW! I am so glad we had Barbara! I could list so many accolades: But most important to me was that she immediately bonded with us. We met once in person and then we regularly did our planning via Zoom. She helped us design a wedding ceremony that fit our personalities and style. She supported us through the whole process, being available for questions and tweaks to the planned service. It was to be OUR wedding! The wedding day itself was fabulous! Even before the service, she was there for us, with calming presence. The service itself, by design, allowed for some surprises and lots of spontaneity. We told our love story through a unique interview style. It was filled with joy and laughter along with the desired quiet solemn moments. My wife and I love that we had Barbara as our wedding officiant. She is totally professional and will meet all your wedding service needs! Choose her!

Our Wedding Officiant NYC - Peter Boruchowitz
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
New York, NY
  • Offers 9 ceremony types
  • Starts at $650

Our Wedding Officiant NYC offers its namesake services in and around NY. They work upon the philosophy that "your perfect wedding starts with your perfect ceremony. Led by Peter Boruchowitz, an ordained clergyman and multiple award-winning officiant, he can perform meaningful and memorable ceremonies.

I highly recommend Peter to be the officiant at your wedding. He was easy to work with and very friendly. He was very prepared on our wedding day. My husband has a harder name to pronounce but Peter prepped for that. It was also windy on our wedding day, but he was able be heard clearly with our guests and didn't skip a beat (even when the wind blew his notes to the next page!). He was also very comfortable to be around and helped us (especially my husband) with prewedding nerves. He is the guy you want to have nearby on your wedding day and to work with to make sure your ceremony is exactly how you imagined!

A More Perfect Union - Hope Mirlis
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
New York, NY
  • Offers 8 ceremony types
  • Starts at $650

It’s time to celebrate the richness of your union as you fully explore this exciting time in your relationship. There is so much unknown and so much to decide as you plan your wedding and your marriage. I’m happy to help guide you through.Whether you’re getting married at a hip new loft in Brooklyn, or doing a ceremony overlooking the Hudson, together we can create something memorable and dare I say…magical! Love is love is love! I fully believe all couples have the legal right to marry. I proudly support the LGBTQ+ community and hold space and stand united with our BIPOC communities.

Hope was the officiant for our wedding and was the perfect decision for us! My partner and I are of different ethnicities and different religions. We struggled finding an officiant because we wanted 1) a neutral third-party; that 2) could provide a secular service; while 3) also incorporating some cultural aspects (e.g. Jewish breaking of the glass). That is a pretty tight line to walk, but Hope was incredibly thoughtful and flexible in her approach. We felt comfortable right away and well-understood during our exchanges. Hope nailed it pretty much on her first draft, and finalizing the ceremony was one of the most seamless parts of our planning. On the day of, Hope’s execution was amazing! We loved seeing her words come to life and she was one of the most talked about parts of our wedding. Our guests were impressed with her presence, her writing, and the atmosphere that she created to honor our relationship. We loved working with Hope and would highly recommend her for your wedding!

Most couples who work with me take their relationship seriously, but don't take themselves too seriously. They're educated, do Wordle, read the NY Times and have a healthy sense of reality. Since 2011, I've been writing and performing personal, meaningful and refreshingly engaging ceremonies. Couples work with me in an easy, collaborative way. I take guest experience and your wishes very seriously. I have the ability to command a room, a writer's knack for shaping a story, an emcee's sense of timing, and experience at the most prestigious venues. My BFA in Acting (Boston University) and MFA in Creative Writing (NYU) serve me well.

Hey, I’m Tiara — your modern, non- denominational officiant known for vibrantly authentic ceremonies rooted in heart, humor, and soulful storytelling. I don’t just officiate, I lead. Through story-led ceremony design and a mic-drop delivery, I bring your guests into your love story in a way that feels effortless, elevated, and entirely yours.

One of the best services I've ever hired (and best for this industry!) Tiara is such a wonderful professional that really changed my opinions on such services. Her lavish hospitality for her Royal Treatment will make you feel like you're truly Royalty! (Granted you are of your own life, but this service is top tier!) I was skeptical at first and adding another cost on a wedding can feel overwhelming at times, but I truly felt Royal Treatment with Tiara was worth every penny and more! She took us through a process where she really got to know us as a couple, as individuals, and listened attentively to the details of our wedding vision. We could tell right away that she actually cared and was thankful to be chosen by us and to work together. And as she went through her process... we went through some of our favorite moments, and in some ways, fell in love with our love all over again. During wedding planning that love is surely there as we all know, but Tiara has a gift of bringing us back to the best of us and really getting you into those loving positive feelings. It was really cool! Then with the ceremony and planning phases, Tiara was so knowledgable and resourceful. She really could pick up what we were putting down, having a traditional ceremony with a more spiritual feel. She was also versed in all the religious traditions in our area which was really cool; knowledgable and reliable. She knew what we wanted, which made it easier to plan and talk through as we refined it to our exact wishes. Tiara responded quickly, in detail, and helped resolve any small things we asked her help with. She had a wonderful schedule for us to check in and follow through with that made our day of seamless. Our event coordinators and on site coordinators gave very favorable remarks and loved working with her too. The Royal Treatment was easy to work with other vendors. All with a smile and genuine pleasant attitude. Tiara is a wonderful soul and my wife and I truly am so grateful to her and her services. We weren't quite sure what to expect and thought it would be a pre-scripted thing and "oh this money for that", but once we experienced her as a vendor, we may go as far to say she undercharges! Because it was that meaningful, impactful, and such a joy. My wedding day was the happiest moment of my life and it's partly due to how great the Royal Treatment with Tiara is! We we're not disappointed and 100% would recommend her to anyone who needs an officiant. If you're reading this from another part of the world, I would also recommend flying her out; you're day will be so special if you do and you won't regret it one bit! Thank you so much Tiara, and Royal Treatment for witnessing us Tie Our Knot! May everyone who needs you, find you, and get to lavish in your wonderful experience!

Are you looking for a bespoke marriage ceremony that is crafted for you? Whether secular or religious, I'll approach your ceremony with the reverence it deserves. I care deeply about the meaning of ritual, and will ensure that each detail reflects your needs. As an ordained minster via the Universal Life Church, I'm a strong believer in religious pluralism and shall tailor a unique ceremony to honor your tradition(s). I am also happy to perform interfaith ceremonies. I don't discriminate when it comes to sexuality and gender expression. Whether gay, straight, queer, trans, bi, pan, or poly, I will officiate your wedding with joy!

Elliott gave us the most caring possible lead up to our ceremony and wedding day. Sheniqua Lee is a passionate and dedicated wedding officiant who brings warmth, authenticity, and joy to every ceremony she leads. Her approach centers on truly getting to know the couples she works with. She is skilled at designing a service that reflects your unique journey and values. Sheniqua combines professionalism with a personal touch. Her ceremonies are filled with sincerity, often leaving not only the couple but also their guests deeply moved. In addition to being a wedding officiant, Sheniqua is also a licensed mental health counselor. She offers both pre-marital and post-marital counseling.

We found Sheniqua Lee of Said with Love Wedding Officiant Services on Zola, and she ended up being such a wonderful part of our wedding planning experience. From our first conversation, Sheniqua was easygoing, thoughtful, and had great ideas for how to structure our ceremony. We also really appreciated that she is both an officiant and a licensed therapist who provides marital counseling, which brought an added level of care and intention to the process. Sheniqua was organized, responsive, and helpful every step of the way. She guided us through ceremony wording, flow, and even the sequencing of our Jump the Broom tradition, making sure everything felt smooth and meaningful. She also had us complete a detailed questionnaire about our views on marriage, and during our follow-up conversation, she asked thoughtful questions that helped her better understand who we are as a couple. On our wedding day, Sheniqua delivered our ceremony script with warmth, compassion, and genuine enthusiasm. It truly felt like she was excited to marry us, which made the moment even more special. We would absolutely recommend Said with Love Wedding Officiant Services to other couples looking for someone professional, flexible, personable, and truly a joy to work with.

We created our company with one goal in mind; to ensure your Wedding Ceremony is fun, memorable and funny. It is YOUR big day after all. So let's make sure the ceremony reflects why you are! We specialize in creating personalized, funny and memorable ceremonies that reflect the journey the couple has taken together. We meet with you several times before your ceremony. We will design your ceremony from start to finish and provide you with a minute by minute timeline of what will happen that day.

Jason was absolutely fantastic! Will definitely be doing business with Cloud9Favors in the future. Post wedding, it was so great to hear how wonderful or officiant was. It was the chatter all around! Jason provides an all inclusive package. Whatever you want they just might have it! And I promise you won’t be disappointed. Thank you so much for making our day special.

If I don't respond quickly, please reach out to Embodied Union Ceremonies on Facebook. Embodied Union Ceremonies offers wedding and vow renewal ceremonies in New York and Puerto Rico. Led by Jillian Stella — a somatic healing guide with years of training in body-based practice and emotional regulation — every ceremony is designed so couples actually feel it while it's happening. The somatic work and the ceremony are one and the same: you arrive grounded, present, and inside the moment before a single word is spoken.

We can’t recommend Jillian enough as a wedding officiant. From our very first conversation, she was incredibly thoughtful and took the time to truly get to know us as a couple, which meant so much. We chose to do her full Unfurling package, and it was one of the best decisions we made. One aspect that really stood out was the somatic stress release session before the ceremony. It was something we had never even heard of before, but it made all the difference—it helped us feel grounded, present, and deeply connected in a way we didn’t realize we needed going into the ceremony. The ceremony she created was absolutely beautiful—personal, heartfelt, and perfectly reflective of our story. She also integrated somatic elements into the ceremony itself, which made the experience feel even more intentional and special. So many of our guests commented on how meaningful and unique it was. Jillian brought such a calm, warm, and reassuring presence throughout the entire process. She guided us every step of the way and made everything feel easy and stress-free, allowing us to fully be present and enjoy our day. If you’re looking for someone who is caring, professional, and truly amazing at what they do, Jillian is the perfect choice. We feel so lucky to have had her as part of our wedding.

I am Rabbi Nikki DeBlosi (she/her) (BA, MA, PhD). It is my passion and privilege to connect folks to the breadth and depth of Jewish tradition through inclusive, innovative, and insightful Jewish ritual. A tattooed, polyamorous, queer, suburban, stay-at-home parent, I was raised Catholic and converted to Judaism as an adult. I approach my work nonjudgmentally, and I know too many of us carry religious trauma. I want to make sure your wedding feels meaningful, relevant, and affirming. I'm an avid reader (especially romance), a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, & a choral singer.

We had the privilege of working with Rabbi Nikki for our interfaith wedding ceremony, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. Nikki was organized and thoughtful about helping us structure a ceremony that felt true to both of our backgrounds while remaining accessible to all our guests. What really stood out was how she brought calm to the chaos leading up to the big day—she had prepared for every possible scenario so we felt completely covered no matter what happened. Nikki has a commanding presence and a beautiful voice that kept everyone engaged throughout the ceremony, and she made Judaism come alive for our non-Jewish family members in such a meaningful way that several of them said they only want to attend Jewish weddings from now on. Her collaborative approach meant we were true partners in creating something deeply personalized and insightful that reflected who we are as a couple. We're grateful for her guidance and creativity in making our day unforgettable!

Marley Loves Drew Officiating
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Offers 10 ceremony types
  • Starts at $270
  • Serves New York, NY

Hi, I’m Staci, the heart behind Marley Loves Drew. I believe wedding ceremonies should feel personal, meaningful, and truly reflective of the couple standing in front of me. With a background in nonprofit leadership and volunteer engagement across New York, I’ve spent my career helping people connect with what matters most—and weddings are one of life’s most beautiful moments to do exactly that. Whether your ceremony is intimate or lively, spiritual or non-religious, I work closely with couples to craft a ceremony that feels natural, heartfelt, and memorable for everyone present.

My wife and I had planned on rushing down to City Hall to "just get it done!" Our marriage license expiration date was coming up, and we didn't want to have to go through the whole rigmarole with the county clerk and all of that again. So our wedding was unfortunately going to be boring, basic, and look as closely to a non-event as possible. But then we found Staci. Much to our surprise, not only did we find someone to officiate our wedding--something she did with an unparalleled combination of humor, and grace, but she took on the mantle of wedding planner that we so very badly needed. In a matter of days Staci helped give me and my wife the wedding that we didn't even know we'd always dreamed of! You cannot possibly go wrong by having her help you with yours.

April Showers Events

  • Offers 9 ceremony types
  • Starts at $350

Born from my own real wedding day washed in rain, April Showers Events is built on one simple truth: when the unexpected occurs, the real magic happens. As a mother, daughter, wife and sister I know the importance of celebrating big moments. I also know the value of having reliable help to ensure that the party you've planned is also one that you get to enjoy. I am a storyteller at heart and find event coordination a most delightful medium - for all celebrations tell someone's story, be it the beginning, middle or end. My passion is discovering the best way to tell yours.

Dana was by far the most helpful/standout of the wedding crew and we couldn’t have done it without her!! She had amazing energy from the start, and always found opportunities to step up and help out - for example: we had thought our dinner was a set menu but it turned out they were taking orders! Dana stepped in to ask every guest their order and coordinate with the service team. She took the time to connect with us, and truly celebrate with us/celebrate us! She was an integral part of making the day perfect and I cannot recommend her enough!!!

Your wedding is more than a series of moments; it’s the story of your love, shared with the people who matter most. From the moment you walk down the aisle to the last dance of the evening, every transition should feel effortless for you and your guests. I offer something unique: one consistent voice guiding your celebration from start to finish. As both your officiant and/or MC, I bring warmth, clarity, and energy to every stage of your wedding.

If you are looking for an officiant who feels less like a vendor and more like a long-time friend, hire Janelle.  We were naturally nervous, but Janelle has a calming presence that made the entire experience stress-free and natural. My relatives are still talking about her! Thank you, Janelle, for making our big day so warm and memorable!
