Common Ground Ceremonies

An award-winning interfaith minister and relationship coach, Rev. Dr. Samora founded Common Ground Ceremonies in 2010 and has officiated over 2,800 ceremonies since its inception. Born and raised in NYC from a multi-faith (Jewish, Muslim, Catholic, Buddhist) and multicultural background, Dr. Samora brings a warm, thoughtful, and inclusive approach to her ceremonies. She is the Assoc Dir. of The New Seminary (the first interfaith school) and fosters harmony in diversity. Her team comprises a Spanish-speaking officiant and a Native American ceremonialist. They offer elopements, full weddings, vow renewals, and more.

Dr. Samora named her company Common Ground Ceremonies to reflect her belief that love is at the center of who we are, and only in our hearts will we find common ground. Honoring her diverse roots, she is a bridge builder for couples with different backgrounds or faiths, and always a safe space for LGBTQ+ couples. Dr. Samora is also a spiritual coach, musical artist, sound healer, and indigenous cultural performer.
