Hi! I’m Samantha Freire, a NYC-based wedding officiant, planner, and emcee with 9+ years of experience and over 1000 weddings celebrated including 350+ weddings officiated. I specialize in vibrant, modern ceremonies that reflect your unique love story. Whether you’re eloping, hosting a big celebration, or renewing your vows, I’ll bring heart, humor, and joy to your day. I officiate all types of weddings—non-religious, interfaith, LGBTQIA+, themed, and bilingual (English/Spanish). Sam was truly amazing! We met just a few weeks before the wedding and she was on top of every single detail! When we first reached out to Sam, she was out of the country and still met up with us right away! She made time for us and made us feel very comfortable. She really got to know us and sent us 3 questionnaires to fill out: a general, vow, & love story questionnaire. She also sent us information regarding the legal marriage process and what her script would look like which was so very personal for us and our story. She provided guidance on how to write vows. My husband and I sent her our vows beforehand with the time it took us to say it and she gave great feedback suggesting that our vows should be around the same length and even though my husband and I didnt send the vows to each other she made sure we were on point with this! We appreciate this so much! All of our guests thought Sam knew us personally because she knew our love story and our values so well. She also made people smile, laugh, cry and feel at home with her delivery. She really took the time to read our responses on the questionnaires and it was great to go over it together before the wedding day! So awesome! Thank you Sam, you’re amazing! Book Sam! Sam was incredibly thoughtful and extra communicative! It never felt rushed working with her. Rather, she took her time to get to know my partner and I personally, the nuances of our love story, and helped us curate a version of our dream ceremony that was absolutely beautiful. Her suggestions really highlighted her attention to detail and how much she really enjoys her job bringing together people in love. I wouldn’t have wanted any other officiant!! Highly recommend!

My rates are: 💍 Marriage License Signing – $300 🌿 Elopements – $450–$600 💒 Weddings – $650–$900 (based on date, guest count, travel, and level of personalization) I offer $50 discounts for veterans and teachers. My pricing reflects years of hands-on experience and a high-touch service that ensures your day is flawless, fun, and deeply personal.

We start with a Zoom consultation (about 30 minutes) to briefly discuss your ceremony vision, walk through logistics, and cover the legal marriage process. I then send a contract, questionnaires, and a Google Doc of your ceremony for collaboration. Once the retainer is received, I begin crafting your personalized script. From there, we stay in touch to make sure you’re supported every step of the way.

I’m a registered officiant in NY and an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church. I went to school for Communications, so public speaking comes naturally to me. Also, with 9+ years in the wedding industry—including catering, planning, and now officiating just under 400 ceremonies—I bring a full-spectrum understanding of what makes a wedding run smoothly and beautifully.

In 2020, I planned and officiated my best friend’s wedding—and I instantly knew this was my calling. With a background in event planning, public speaking skills, and a deep love for love, officiating became the perfect fit. I’ve since helped hundreds of couples feel seen, celebrated, and stress-free on their big day.
