We had our wedding May 2025 and started planning with the City & Terrace team 9 months ahead of time. If you're looking for a planner that is extremely thorough, detail-oriented, flexible, and goes above & beyond to make sure your big day goes seamlessly, look no further than Lauren & her team. We had a wedding that was highly personalized, unconventional in many ways, and demanding in terms of timelines, details, and aesthetics. Here are some ways the City & Terrace team went above & beyond to make our vision come to life: - Provided us with multiple scenarios & projected costs to consider in how to run reception since we were unconventionally catering from an independent restaurant that doesn't have wedding catering expertise. - Sourced Chinese porcelain tea jars from an independent supplier in Brooklyn to accomplish our very niche aesthetic demands. - Pulled a lot of strings with other vendors to buy us extra time and opportunities to see and review our tablescape design. - Our wedding day schedule was very tight with multiple activities planned down to the minute. Lauren always gave honest feedback and made sure to accommodate our requests to the best of her abilities. The City & Terrace team also did a great job in managing all of the cultural elements (Chinese & Cambodian) of our wedding that were new to them. We got married at Brooklyn Steel in Williamsburg — a first for the venue — and from our very first meeting through the wedding day, Jessica completely understood our vision. She handled every twist and turn of vendor management with professionalism and a positive, can-do attitude. Every detail — from the timeline and floor plan to décor and vendor logistics — was executed flawlessly. Jessica and her team transformed a raw music venue into a stunning, one-of-a-kind wedding ceremony and reception space. She’s incredibly creative and resourceful, finding ways to bring our Pinterest vision board to life. For example, I had fallen in love with a floral tablecloth that was far outside our rental budget, and Jessica managed to source it herself — it became the centerpiece for our sweetheart table and the color inspiration for all our flowers and décor. The PEC team also designed beautiful displays for our merchandise stand (leaning into the concert theme) and our cards and gifts table, adding so many thoughtful touches throughout the day. Seema made and saved our wedding many times over. We were initially intrigued by her economist background, but won over totally by her offering to handle communication with and incessant questions from our families. She never let on that this was frustrating or even irritating, though we can only imagine it was both. Each time we spoke with her, we were immediately put at ease. We dealt with several venues that were difficult to work with, and through each hurdle Seema calmly navigated us into a place of certainty that she would take care of it. On the Tuesday before our wedding, our caterers abruptly canceled. Seema let us know this information while also sharing she had multiple backup plans underway. She managed this so seamlessly we never once stopped to be anxious about it—in fact, we barely thought about it at all until showing up to our wedding to find that indeed there was catering present. Our venue was a natural wine bar, not accustomed to having weddings, and certainly not set up for it. There was not enough room for a traditional seated ceremony or an aisle. We went in with the understanding that this would feel like a DIY wedding, and to let go of any expectations of it looking a certain way. We hardly discussed decor or ceremony flow, relying instead on the bar's aesthetic. And yet, when we made our entrance, we were greeted by friends and families neatly arranged along the sides of the space with a clear aisle for us to walk through. How she managed to tetris the space so effectively we'll never know. We are two controlling, hyper-opinionated, exacting eldest daughters, and we felt completely at peace letting Seema take the reins on many aspects of our wedding. We shared our vision with her and were confident she would execute it. While we won't miss wedding planning, we already feel nostalgic of the times we got to spend with Seema.

We spent a little over a year planning for our big day in May, and were so excited to start meeting and planning with TGT a month out in April. From our very first call with Justine and Jenna, we knew that we were in good hands. Throughout the planning process, they proved to be incredibly dependable, organized, and meticulous, ensuring every detail was accounted for. Justine was our coordinator contact leading up to the wedding, and she was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions, getting us organized, and putting together a fantastic timeline that pieced everything that we'd been dreaming of together! She was also available whenever we had concerns or just needed to chat things out! From start to finish, Justine made us feel prepared and ready to tackle the day. On the day-of, Jenna was our coordinator on-site. She was equally amazinggg in helping us feel prepared, taken care of, and free to relax and enjoy our wedding day while so much was going on around us. We could not have imagined a better wedding planner than Claire. She didn’t just make our wedding day flawless—she made the entire 17-month planning process smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free. She was incredibly knowledgeable when it came to navigating contract challenges, always thought a step ahead, and kept us calm during the inevitable lulls. My husband and I attempted to plan our entire wedding ourselves, but about 4-5 months prior I totally panicked when I realized I just didnt know what I didnt know; Enter Liz (a godsend!). Liz is fantastic to work with - she's calm, well organized, and creative. Exactly what you need from a planner! Liz helped us think of every last thing we needed to prep for before our wedding weekend so that there weren't any surprises. Liz interfaced extremely well with our other vendors and kept them on track leading up to and day of. She kept everyone informed as we developed and fine tuned our detailed day of schedule, which ensured everything went smoothly. When it comes to creativity, Liz is who you want in your corner. She has a talent for calligraphy and hand wrote all of our place cards, hand painted names on all of the ribbons around our menus (and hunted through stores for the perfect ribbon color), hand painted our table numbers, and got a special stamp made of one of the key design elements throughout our wedding. Liz and her team also constructed 100 welcome bags from the various items I shipped to her and then hand delivered all of them to our different hotel blocks. After our wedding, she and her staff even packed up and stored all the items from the wedding overnight and then delivered them to us the next day. These were the types of things I didn’t know how to plan for (and that kept me up at night) before we hired Liz, and she just simply handled them without an issue. If you are looking for full or partial planning, I highly recommend working with Liz!

When we say Taylor EXCEEDED our expectations, we truly mean that. From start to finish Taylor was such a calming and supportive presence in our lives. During the planning portion of our event, Taylor communicated with all of our vendors and made sure we were always on the same page. She was organized and had all of our contracts, seating charts, floor plans etc all in one google doc making it extremely easy to follow and stay on track. She was always responsive and answered every single question we could possibly have. As the wedding got closer, we had weekly calls to make sure we tied up any loose ends and that all the vendors were on the same page. The wedding day was beyond perfect. Taylor looked like a boss woman the whole time with her clipboard and made sure that she was keeping everyone in line and on track of time. There were a few times when things didn’t go as planned like having to move the ceremony inside due to rain and changing the floorpan last minute but she handled that with STRIDE. She made all the executive decisions and explained them to us calmly. We trusted that no matter what, she would make the best decision for us in the end and she 100% did! Everything ended up working out better than planned and we will be talking about this day for years to come. At the end of the event, Taylor helped all the vendors pack everything up and out of the venue and made sure that nothing was left behind. We could not recommend her enough as your wedding planner. She is strong, resilient and intelligent. She is organized, reliable and knows exactly what she is doing! You can really see how much she loves what she does and how she strives to be the best she can be every step of the way. Shout out to her assistant Joy for everything she had her hands on, including being so delicate and gentle while steaming my heavy wedding dress and taking some incredible behind the scenes shots of our day and for just being another amazing person to rely on. We couldn’t have asked for a better team!!!!
