Meet Lara Mahler Founder & chief planner. When you work with Lara, you are working with the mama bear of TPIM, who cares for your happiness and works with intention and with a deep desire to bring to life everything that you possibly imagined. While Lara spends most of her year working with full and partial planning clients, the TPIM brand offers a variety of design, coordinating, and consulting packages to support the diversity of our clients.

Since 2016 The Privilege is Mine has been centered around the idea that wedding planning does not need to be intimidating or traditional, but rather celebrating the alternative and thinking outside the standard. We believe in compassion, creativity, collaboration, and a touch of edge. As the TPIM brand has grown, we’ve expanded our team over the last few years. Our mission, vibe, and energy are trained in all of our associates. No matter who you work with on our team, you are working with creative, collaborative and communicative women who believe in the *stress-less* approach to wedding planning, and who like to get down on the dance floor.

Every so often you come across a real-life angel. For us, that was Chanler and the TPIM team. We hired TPIM for month-of coordination, but they went above and beyond that. When our original venue Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Museum and federal property, was closed by the U.S. government shutdown just two weeks before our wedding, Chanler calmly and expertly stepped in and quite literally helped us pack up and move our entire wedding to another location. She handled every logistic with unbelievable precision and clear love for weddings, and made us both feel at ease under the most stressful situation. Our wedding ended up being even more beautiful and meaningful than we could have imagined and was an obvious reflection of the love, care, and tireless effort Chanler poured into it. If you’re looking for someone who can bring calm to chaos, understand your vision, and implement everything flawlessly, TPIM (and specifically Chanler) is that team. We truly could not have done it without them.

I couldn't recommend Lara and the TPIM team enough! Lara exceeded expectations for our March 2025 wedding - her and Chanler seamlessly organized logistics (including recommending and coordinating with amazing vendors) leading up to the event, managed our timeline perfectly on the wedding day, and did it all with a calm and friendly energy. Could not have asked for a better planning team.
