The Talented Photographer was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, Alec's communication style was fun, professional, and incredibly personable. He had a true passion for his craft that shone through in every interaction. The quality of Alec's work was absolutely stunning - we got a wonderful variety of candids, formal shots, and editorial-style pictures that captured all the special moments of our day. Alec has an incredible eye for the right shots, and the final photos are absolutely gorgeous. Despite a complicated location schedule that I was worried about, Alec made the whole day seamless, traveling to over 4 different spots to ensure we got all the groupings and special shots we wanted. Alec truly went above and beyond, and we had such a great time working with him. I'm obsessed with the pictures and would give him an 11/10 rating!

I couldn't be more grateful that Rebecca & Andrew shot our special day. Not only are they wildly talented (see some photos below), but they also eased our wedding nerves with their incredibly friendly demeanor. They took time to get to know us, and helped us look good and natural during our photoshoot (not something I thought I was going to be very good at, but they proved me wrong). We loved working with Andrew & Rebecca so much so that we've actually worked with them a few more times after our wedding. They are the best, and if you choose them to photograph your big day you will not be disappointed.

From the first phone call with Pavel, I knew we were going to have an amazing team. Pavel was so incredibly thorough and reassuring and helped create a perfect timeline for the day. The team, Eddy, Rob & Dave, were so charismatic and knowledgeable. They knew exactly what to do and what instructions to give my husband and I to create the most beautiful and intimate photos. We’re a little camera shy, so the fact they were able to direct us and make us feel comfortable shows their expertise. We are so beyond happy with our photos, full length video and highlight reels. Also - I have to say, the team is so great at capturing AMAZING candids during the party! There were times I didn’t even know they were behind me, and I am so happy to have all these moments captured. I did not feel like I had a camera in my face during the party at all! We had 3K AMAZING photos to look through, and EVERY photo is fantastic. I have also watched my highlight reel so many times, and I’ve already watched my full length film and plan on watching it again with my parents. I will seriously be recommending PSPI to everyone I know!! THANK YOU PSPI!!

Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. Obvs. My style blends both documentary photojournalism and fine art photography: coaching folks who are shy in front of the camera, then stepping back to capture authentic moments uninterrupted. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. I'm a stereotypical Capricorn that loves drag shows, campy horror films, every dog I meet, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Millie Elangbam Photography
Rating: 5.0 (34 reviews)
New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $10,000

Hi, my name is Millie! I picked up a camera 11 years ago and I've been wholeheartedly devoted to this craft ever since. Through photography, I've come to understand that the meaningful connections I form with others hold a special significance for me and should be documented. My journey has naturally directed me toward wedding photography, enabling me to translate your love into art. To me, nothing compares to distilling love into photographs.

Awarded Best of Zola
We first met Millie about four years ago when she was building her photography portfolio and looking for couples to shoot engagement photos with. From the very beginning, we were struck by her kind, calming presence and her incredible eye for capturing authentic moments. We loved her style so much that we asked her to photograph our courthouse wedding soon after—and that was just the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Since then, Millie has been there for nearly every major life moment we've experienced. She took the most stunning boudoir photos for me—something completely out of my comfort zone but made effortless by her professionalism and warmth. I turned those photos into a little book as a gift for my husband when he travels, and it's still one of our favorite keepsakes. Later, when I was pregnant, Millie reached out again about maternity photos. I was really struggling at the time—physically and emotionally—and almost passed on the idea altogether. But Millie gently reminded me how meaningful it could be to capture that season, even if it didn’t feel picture-perfect. I’m so glad we listened. The photos we took just a week before our daughter was born are now some of my most treasured. Shortly after, Millie came to our apartment to do newborn photos with our baby girl. She made the experience so easy and sweet, even during the sleep-deprived chaos of new parenthood. We’ve since moved out of state, but we’ll absolutely continue to reach out to Millie for future milestones—she’s truly become part of our family’s story. It’s been such a joy to watch her work evolve and grow over the years. She brings not only talent and skill to every shoot, but heart. Don’t hesitate for a second—book Millie. She’s the kind of photographer (and person) you want by your side for life’s biggest moments.

Bryan Sargent is an award-winning wedding and engagement photographer from New York City. To Bryan, nothing compares to the privilege and fun of capturing the cherished memories of a couple on their wedding day!

Awarded Best of Zola
We hired Bryan for our intimate courthouse wedding in New York City just before Thanksgiving, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience!! From the start, Bryann was incredibly responsive and professional. Despite it being a simple, yet meaningful wedding at the courthouse, we still wanted to ensure the moment was captured beautifully. On the day of our wedding, Bryan came to our apartment and took pictures of us as we were getting ready for the big day. With our three friends in tow, Bryan followed the group through our neighborhood to the subway, to the Clerk’s Office for the ceremony, and then for some pictures at the waterfront. He was able to capture every moment along the way and captured the best NYC wedding pictures one could ask for. If you’re planning a courthouse wedding (or any wedding) in New York City, I can’t recommend Bryan enough. He is not only incredibly talented but also incredibly kind and dedicated to making sure your special day is captured in the most beautiful way. We will cherish these memories for a lifetime! Thank you, Bryan!

I can’t even explain how much we loved working with Rivelle Media. From the first email, Anna made us feel so comfortable—like we were chatting with an old friend. She took the time to really understand what was important to us and gave us tips to make our day run smoothly (some of which saved us from major stress!). On the wedding day, the whole team was so calm and organized. I honestly don’t know how they managed to get all the shots they did while being so non-intrusive. And the photos? Oh my gosh, we’re obsessed. Every single one feels so alive. They captured us laughing, crying, dancing—just being ourselves. Looking at the pictures feels like reliving the whole day all over again. Hiring Rivelle Media was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!”

Awarded Best of Zola
What a dream Emilee was to work with, from start to finish. OUR CEREMONY PARTY: we decided on a private, courthouse elopement on a Wednesday, a 60 person reception party on a Friday. In both, our biggest priority was having a photographer capture the intimate, joyful small details. We went with Emilee because of her eye for the beauty in the small things. She captured both our days perfectly. DOCUMENTARY STYLE: Emilee was perfect behind the scenes, capturing beautiful moments of our friends and family, small details of the courthouse with just us. I look back at some of these photos and ask "how did she even get that?!" She has such an eye. POSED: We had about 20 minutes dedicated to posed, family photos during our reception. Emilee had our families relaxed and laughing, quickly swapping members in and out. In some newlywed photos, we sought her advice for how to pose. She gave quick direction, made us feel confident, and always found the perfect light. COMMUNICATION SPEED: Delivered on every promise, quick replies. Emilee was 15 minutes early to both locations, we never had to worry. PERSONALLY: We met with Emilee about 4 months before our big days. We had coffee, talked about our vision and our biggest priorities. She immediately felt like a friend, and knew she was firmly on our team. If you're looking for a photographer to capture not only beautiful photos of yourself, but more importantly, the feeling in every room, Emilee is the photographer for you. We recommend wholeheartedly, and can't wait for another occasion to work with her. Sincerely, Mara James

I don’t even know where to start when it comes to Shelby. To put into perspective how much I absolutely love her work, we not only hired her for our city hall wedding, but also hired her and her partner Jordan (videographer) for our big wedding. They also just photographed my cousin Kate’s wedding this past weekend. Kate met Shelby and Jordan at my big wedding, and absolutely fell in love with not only their work, but them as people. My partner and I aren’t good at taking photos. We are very awkward, and feel uncomfortable being the center of attention. But Shelby made it SO EASY and SO FUN for us. Not only were our photos beyond our expectations, the video Jordan created for us was absolutely out of this world. They are such incredible human beings, and both so talented. I plan to use Shelby and Jordan for every event in the future.

There’s quite a lot to say about Alex and his work. Firstly, Alex was right on schedule and even early awaiting us. He was fully prepared and had equipment that I was not even aware we had access to. He was incredibly kind and very patient. Upon request, he provided guidance and posing insight which was a big help for us who find ourselves awkward in front of a camera. He offered his professional advice and did us a curtesy which we appreciated. He utilized the full time capturing as much content as he could and the experience was amazing. The turnaround for the pictures and his availability were also great. We have gotten only compliments on the pictures and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a true professional. People often debate what's most important for a wedding: is it the venue, the food, the flowers... ?  It's the memories, and putting them in the hands of artists who can show you the heart and soul and feel of every moment - moments you can't plan for, you can never adequately take in, and many you would simply miss. Jarrod and Taylor are certainly technically gifted photographers and videographers, but more importantly they are artists whose true love is capturing yours.  The name says it all: The Narrative. My bride Ali and I will be forever grateful that we found and convinced them to tell our story.  I could imagine a thousands different weddings, but none without them by our side. Thank you, Jarrod and Taylor, you beautiful humans, for your truly awesome and unbelievable care, vision, and talents.  You've given us more than we could have ever imagined or even hoped for, through your perfect lens. I'm in love with human emotions, either it's laughing till it hurts or tears of happiness. When your man hugs you so strong, that you can't breathe or when your dad is crying (for the first time in his life!) listening to your vows at the altar. I do believe, that these un-staged moments are more meaningful than classy portraits on a sunset (but no worries, you'll plenty of both!) If you feel like we are on the same page - let's talk! Write me a few words about who you are, tell me your story and let's create something beautiful together!

If you are reading this, go book Dasha! The wedding photographer was the most important vendor for us. After talking to many photographers, we ended up booking Dasha and that's the best decision we've ever made. Through our engagement session, we got so comfortable in front of her camera and the photos turned out great. Ahead of the wedding, I had a final meeting with Dasha and you could tell that she cares about her couples and gives good advice on the timeline. On the wedding day, her professionalism and creativity made the day so easy for us, and we didn't need to give her a long shortlist because we trusted her. When we received the full gallery, we were so BLOWN AWAY. The editing style speaks for itself. We also loved the way she documented our special - it feels very natural and authentic. Many of our families and friends asked us who our photographer was, and we cannot recommend Dasha enough. Thank you, Dasha!!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Daniel! My husband originally found him on Snappr for our engagement shoot back in January 2024 and he was so incredible to work with, we just knew we had to book him for our wedding!! He made us feel so comfortable and made 2 awkward people look INCREDIBLE in front of the camera. He captured the most important moments of my life thus far and he did it so beautifully. All my guests loved him and appreciated all the fun pictures he took of them on the dance floor too!! LOL! I really can’t thank him enough for being such an important part of my day.

After working 10+ years in corporate America in NYC, California and traveling the globe, I found myself wanting more than what the traditional career path had set for me. I stumbled into photography while I was on maternity leave with my oldest and started a side hustle that I had no idea was going to turn into a complete career change years later. From the very first wedding I shot, I knew I was onto something. And ever since then, I haven't looked back.

She captured us in our true moments, not staged, and the photos turned out beyond amazing. So beautiful, natural, and full of life. Loved the Polaroid and film shots too. She was so kind and genuine, and having her there made me feel calm, happy, and truly cared for. So lucky she was our photographer.

Before I ever held a camera, as a kid I was obsessed with organizing and reorganizing printed family snapshots in albums. This infatuation with captured moments, led to picking out my first film camera, a 35mm Pentax, film developing and darkroom printing in high school, and then my BFA in Photography Degree. From there, I worked in varied sectors of photography, but my true passion lay in documentary work that could bring about awareness of challenging global situations. I have published and exhibited journalistic series internationally, notably at Oxford University and Aperture Foundation.

Jenny was incredible. She photographed our engagement photoshoot and July 2024 wedding. Her eye for visual beauty and ability to understand what you are looking for with your photos makes her an outstanding photographer. There wasnt one second of our wedding day that wasnt captured because of her. We are so thankful to have hired Jenny to capture our moments. We hired Jenny after seeing the stunning photos she captured at a friends wedding, two more of my friends then hired her from this recommendation as well and i think it speaks volumes about how amazing Jenny is that so many friends hired her as well.

What do you imagine your wedding to be like? Imagination is a nice gift we have. It helps us building our identities and shaping our individual uniqueness. Imagining carries a degree of anticipation, depending on our past experiences and who we are, of how something that hasn't happened yet is going to be when it actually happens. Like traveling to a place where we've never been before and we take photos of its landscapes and people living there: we tend to capture in those photographs how we had imagined that place. A wedding is a destination in the journey of life, perhaps the most important one.
