Wedding Photography by George

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $1,700
  • Serves New York

My name is George. I’m a wedding, event, and portrait photographer based in Connecticut. I began my photography journey at the age of 17. In 2009, I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, NY, where I completed the Fashion Photography program. As an artist, my goal is to create natural images that are full of life and express beauty. I approach each client’s needs with care and creativity—capturing emotions, unique details, and the essence of your story. Professional photographer since 2009 and have photographed over 200 weddings.

Awarded Best of Zola
We booked George to capture our wedding day at an outdoor venue in northern MA. As a photographer myself I have high standards when it comes to photos, so I was very selective when making my choice. But I'm happy to report that we made a great choice with George as his work is top notch. Before the wedding we had 2 phone calls to plan out the many scenes we'd want him to capture. We also shared some light guidance on editing style, which he happily incorporated. On the day of the wedding George arrived promptly (early even, which was good) despite the fact he was driving many hours from CT. George did a great job making people feel comfortable in front of the camera. He seemed very experienced as throughout the day he seamlessly transitioned from the foreground to the background as needed. He was never in the way, but always nearby and ready to jump in and capture whatever was happening. He also captured a variety of types of shots, from the wide, establishing shots to the perfectly composed closeups of intimate moments - with lots of extra detail shots and plenty of candids too. For the ceremony in particular, he displayed his great eye and quick reaction time to document every moment and every angle, including crowd reactions. He came well prepared too with 2 Sony mirrorless cameras and a large off-camera flash to ensure even lighting. From our 8-hour shoot he provided over 1,400 fully edited photos (each 61MP) via a Google Drive download link. We were extremely please with the quality and speed of our portfolio (fully delivered within 2 weeks). On top of that, George happily provided me with the full edited portfolio in TIFF file format, per my request. The file sizes are much larger so I gave him a 512GB USB drive which he loaded and shipped back to me. I really can't say enough good things about George. So just book him now and I know you'll be pleased with the results!

I am a queer, New York City-based photographer documenting candid joy and human connection. Drawn to emotion and the beauty in everyday moments, I approach my work with mindfulness and intuition – balancing gentle guidance with an observational presence. What I value most about my job is the ability to connect with people and witness their stories unfold in raw, vulnerable ways. I hope that my work is a reflection of these moments: honest, emotive, and intentionally seen.

We absolutely LOVED working with Emma for our wedding. From the engagement shoot to the rehearsal dinner and finally to the big day, she could not have been more helpful, professional, and of course, insanely talented. Emma made us look like movie stars! Christopher Duggan Photography

Bronx, NY
  • Photojournalistic style

In the 20 years that I've been photographing professionally, I’ve honed my skill of knowing when to step in and make things happen, and when to step back and simply *allow* things to happen. Documenting the REAL emotion of the day is how we capture those picture-perfect moments. They happen organically, not by force, and I promise you: we're not going to miss ANY of them. = )

Awarded Best of Zola
Christopher Duggan Photography was a dream to work with for our wedding. Christopher and his team were timely, personal, professional, and compassionate in all of their communication with us. The quality of Christopher's photography is simply exquisite - the images he captured from our wedding day are extraordinary and magical, truly capturing the essence of our special day. Christopher and his team paid such close attention to detail, and made the day so loving and fun. They were a joy to have as part of our wedding day. I cannot recommend Christopher Duggan Photography highly enough for any special event - their exceptional communication, top-notch skills, and warm personalities lead to photographic memories you will cherish forever.

Marilyn Lamanna Photography

5.0

Astoria, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $8,500
  • Serves New York

Hey there! My name is Marilyn. I live in New York City with my sweet partner, and our orange cat Maple. I’m an introverted, soft-hearted mush with an insatiable need to document the beauty in life. Practicing self-portraits in middle school eventually led me to pursue my photography degree from New York University, and I have been joyfully creating photos of wedding days ever since. To me, weddings are a magical display of the human spirit. It’s my biggest honor and joy to create imagery that captures that human magic - especially in a way that breaks the boundaries of historically gendered traditions.

Awarded Best of Zola
We have worked with Marilyn for mini sessions, engagement photos, and our wedding. Each time, Marilyn never ceases to amaze us with her ability to capture timeless photos that feel like us. Over the past few years, during the mini sessions and engagement shoot we did with Marilyn, she made us so comfortable in front of her camera. When it came to taking our portraits at our wedding, it felt like second nature - something that wouldn’t have happened with just any photographer. On our wedding day, the group photos flowed seamlessly, and it felt like they took no time at all. Marilyn captured our wedding day so beautifully, we truly can’t stop looking at the photos. She delivered a gallery that has the perfect blend of posed portraits and documentary style shots of the day. There is not a single photo in our wedding gallery that we dislike. Whether it’s for a casual couples shoot or your wedding, we highly recommend Marilyn - you will not regret it!

Kam and her team at Kam Wickam Photography were an absolute pleasure to work with for our multi-day wedding celebration in Austin, Texas. From our very first interaction, Kam was prompt in her communication, easy to talk to, and incredibly helpful in answering all of our questions. On the wedding days, she was on it from beginning to end, capturing the most gorgeous, unique shots that truly felt like works of art. (I added some of my favorite film shots she took!) Despite having to photograph at multiple locations over the course of 3 days, Kam and her team were incredibly flexible. Bailey Quinlan (she/they) is a photographic artist based in Brooklyn, NY working in both film & digital. With a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art & an unshakable entrepreneurial spirit, she started her own business photographing weddings professionally in 2016, and has documented 100’s of celebrations since. She brings fresh eyes & ears to every couple she meets, focusing on what truly matters to them, to ensure her clients’ priorities & personalities shine through in their photos.

We are incredibly happy with our wedding photos! Bailey really has "the eye." Her artsy and elegant photos are magazine-worthy and really tell a story. If you're looking for the opposite of cheesy wedding photography, your search ends here. I was already quite certain I was going to book Bailey based on her portfolio alone, but the introductory video phone call sealed the deal. Bailey's warm and friendly personality really puts you at ease, and by the time our wedding day(s) (an elopement and later reception) arrived, it felt like we were having our pictures taken by a dear friend.

Steven Rosen Photography

Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style

I have been a photographer for the last 20 years, shooting weddings, elopements and portraits. I'm proud to have shot more than 150 same-sex weddings, which is probably more than, well, just about anyone. That said, I’ve worked with as many straight couples as LGBTQ ones. I don't discriminate. There are many other photographers whose work inspire me, but my primary inspiration comes from painters. Rembrandt, Vermeer, Sargent, to name a few.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had a great experience with Steven. He was not afraid to make decisions and he pushed us to think about exactly what shots we wanted leading up to the wedding. He was open to our ideas but also had great ideas of his own, including making some suggestions about the positioning of the ceremony that resulted in not only making the pictures better but made sure all our guests could see. He was punctual on the day of the wedding and took time to come out to our venue in advance of the wedding to see how we might optimize the photos. His assistant was also very helpful at our pre-ceremony shoot.

Working with Rob Spring Photography was by far one of the best and easiest decisions we made for our wedding. From our first initial call with Rob, we could tell we were in good hands. We worked with Sarah as our photographer and within minutes of the first time meeting her at our engagement shoot, we were laughing and totally at ease - even with our little 8 pound dog along for the ride. On our wedding day, Sarah arrived with assistant Colton and instantly went to work making our day so special. We took photos all over the entire venue, laughing and joking around the whole time. The huge smiles on our faces in our photos are proof of how much fun we had. Our entire bridal party and both of our families couldn't stop raving about how professional and fun she was to work with. And then the photos we received blew our minds - they are more beautiful than we ever could've imagined. This will definitely not be the last time we work with Sarah and Rob Spring Photography. From intimate Central Park and NYC skyline weddings to romantic New Jersey garden celebrations and destination weddings worldwide.

Awarded Best of Zola
We worked with Rebeca and Andrew Federico as our wedding photographer in August 2025. From the moment we had our phone consultation with Rebeca and Andrew, we loved their vibes. They seemed calm, natural, and experienced in their talent. They included an engagement photo shoot for us in the months before our wedding day, which was extremely helpful to get comfortable in front of the camera, and for them to get to know us and our personalities. Although it was a cold rainy day, we had so much fun and we came out with creative and natural photos. But of course, the most important part are the wedding photos that Rebeca and Andrew and one of their team members took. They sent a sneak peak within 2 weeks of our wedding, and finished the entire set, which was almost 1000 photos within a few months. These pictures are the most gorgeous and creative photos and they bring out the personalities of my husband and me. Rebeca and Andrew scoped out the property to utilize the best scenes for our photos, took the opportunities to seize the time during the golden hour while the sun was in the perfect position, and indulged us with silly photos we wanted to try out. We had so much fun. They really captured every aspect of the day from getting ready to the dance floor, with all the details in between like our flowers, napkins, decorations, and signature drinks. Rebeca and Andrew were extremely kind and patient with us throughout the day and maintained such calm demeanors so we could stay calm and stress free. They are also very responsive, by text or email, if we had any questions prior to or after the photo shoots Rebeca always replied with the answers we needed. We could not be happier about our choice to work with Rebeca and Andrew, and we are so in love with our wedding photos!

Hey, I'm Mary! It's nice to meet you. What you must know: (1) I'm a nerd. If you want to talk video games, LOTR or Doctor Who, we HAVE to sit down for a bourbon or a coffee. (2) Yes, I will be out on that dance floor with you snapping away while joining in on the fun. And (3), while I'm a photographer first, supporting you during the planning process feels crucial to me - from building a timeline to having your back any way I can. Woman/LGBTQIA+ Owned

We worked with Mary for our engagement photos and were absolutely thrilled with the results. She made us feel at ease right away, and we ended up with so many photos that looked (and felt!) so comfortable and so "us." There were no moments that felt awkward or posed, and she took the time to make sure we had captured many memories we'll cherish for a lifetime. We ended up getting married abroad, but if we had stayed local we would have been thrilled to work with Mary again for the big day itself. We can't recommend her highly enough!

Hi, my name is Millie! I picked up a camera 11 years ago and I've been wholeheartedly devoted to this craft ever since. Through photography, I've come to understand that the meaningful connections I form with others hold a special significance for me and should be documented. My journey has naturally directed me toward wedding photography, enabling me to translate your love into art. To me, nothing compares to distilling love into photographs.

Awarded Best of Zola
We first met Millie about four years ago when she was building her photography portfolio and looking for couples to shoot engagement photos with. From the very beginning, we were struck by her kind, calming presence and her incredible eye for capturing authentic moments. We loved her style so much that we asked her to photograph our courthouse wedding soon after—and that was just the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Since then, Millie has been there for nearly every major life moment we've experienced. She took the most stunning boudoir photos for me—something completely out of my comfort zone but made effortless by her professionalism and warmth. I turned those photos into a little book as a gift for my husband when he travels, and it's still one of our favorite keepsakes. Later, when I was pregnant, Millie reached out again about maternity photos. I was really struggling at the time—physically and emotionally—and almost passed on the idea altogether. But Millie gently reminded me how meaningful it could be to capture that season, even if it didn’t feel picture-perfect. I’m so glad we listened. The photos we took just a week before our daughter was born are now some of my most treasured. Shortly after, Millie came to our apartment to do newborn photos with our baby girl. She made the experience so easy and sweet, even during the sleep-deprived chaos of new parenthood. We’ve since moved out of state, but we’ll absolutely continue to reach out to Millie for future milestones—she’s truly become part of our family’s story. It’s been such a joy to watch her work evolve and grow over the years. She brings not only talent and skill to every shoot, but heart. Don’t hesitate for a second—book Millie. She’s the kind of photographer (and person) you want by your side for life’s biggest moments.

Hello there!! I'm Juliette, and I've been wedding photographer and videographer for around seven years. I specialize in nostalgic and cinematic photo and video, and mix in-the-moment candids with editorial portraits (usually with flash photos!) Whether you’re having a wild wedding weekend, a thoughtful woodsy elopement or an elegant celebration at an estate, I'm here for it.

Awarded Best of Zola
From our very first call, I just knew Juliette was our photographer! She’s so down-to-earth and kind, and she immediately made us feel so comfortable—like we were working with an old friend. She’s insanely talented (seriously, her work speaks for itself), but it’s her warmth and energy that make her truly special. The second she and her husband showed up for our wedding weekend, we knew we made the right choice. They’re just such genuinely kind people, and everyone in our family and wedding party were impressed and loved them immediately (without even seeing a photo). Juliette wasn’t just our photographer—she became such an important part of the day. I honestly can’t imagine our wedding without them. To give you an idea of just how incredible Juliette is: my sister got engaged a month after our wedding hired Juliette immediately. My mom literally said, “We already love Juliette, why would you even look for anyone else?”. If that doesn’t say it all, I don’t know what does. We weren’t looking for a full wedding video, just something simple to capture our vows and speeches. Juliette put together a custom package that fit exactly what we wanted, and she still managed to go above and beyond. She just gets it, and somehow manages to exceed every expectation. What really sets Juliette apart is that she goes beyond simple wedding photography—she tells a story with her work. Sure, you can hire someone for 2-3k, but you will not get the high-quality, gorgeous, editorial photos that Juliette delivers (sorry!!!!). Her photos are next-level—every single shot feels thoughtful, stunning, and so full of life. Juliette is worth every single penny and then some. I cannot recommend her enough—she is such a gem, and I am honored that she captured my wedding.

When I came across Rebecca's website and portfolio I was immediately smitten. Her style was so beautiful and unique, and exactly what I was hoping to find for our wedding. One quick call with her and I knew she was our photographer. She was so warm and welcoming and we felt completely ourselves around her. We had FUN spending time with her for both our engagement and wedding photos. Aside from her amazing skills - she went ABOVE AND BEYOND to coordinate our engagement photos with us when we were living in California. She was the easiest choice we made and we love every photo she took for us. Cannot recommend her highly enough! - Chelsean Nick

I had come across Emily while scrolling through Reddit and instantaneously liked how they were recommending her. I sent her an inquiry and got a response within 24 hours and the rest is history! My husband & I got married in December of 2024 and with the assistance of Emily, she made our courthouse wedding a dream. From capturing all our loved ones who came to celebrate our special day to my small intimate family. Words can’t describe how much I recommend her and will be hiring her again for future events! Thank you Emily!

I’ve never liked being on camera, but they made it feel like we were just living in the moment — not performing. There’s this one shot of us walking back from the ceremony, shoes off, sun setting behind us, and it looks like a still from a film. The video caught my brother’s terrible toast and somehow made it feel sentimental. I didn’t think wedding media could feel this personal.
