““Your wedding band was amazing,” was what I heard the most from my guests after they remised about the night, and everyone is right, The Last Nites are amazing. Waylan and team put on a show and made my wedding night unforgettable. Music was huge for me so when I went to hire a wedding band, I went to a lot of shows before booking. The Last Nites was by far the best band I went to see. From their song selection, to the way they work the stage, if you’re not dancing it’s because you’re sitting and you’re most likely still bopping your head. We hired TLN for the entirety of the wedding: Ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. All of it was perfect. For the song selections, we were able to choose a good amount of songs that we liked from their wide array of songs, and then TLNs put together a set list based on our tastes, which, they nailed. They learned our first dance, a father-daughter dance, and also a ceremony procession song, all of which were perfect. I’ve always wanted to walk to a song from my favorite video game and although it seemed really hard and somewhat impossible, Waylan made sure it happened. I still get emotional thinking about the rendition I was lucky enough to walk to, it really made my wedding day that more special. Everything about working with The Last Nites was perfect, and they made my wedding that much more amazing; it felt like I wasn’t at a wedding, but a show where everyone was on the floor dancing. The team showed up on time, set up, and looked amazing. Everything was super professional and on point. I can’t recommend The Last Nites enough, and anyone who attended my wedding, or I bet even sees them perform, would say the same.”

“We absolutely loved working with The Hook Club. Our amazing planner, Greenhouse Events, recommended THC, and we were sold immediately after meeting with Dan. He is super relaxed, nice, and so knowledgable. Dan and THC team made planning super easy for us. They took time to hear about our hopes and helped recommend different band sizes for us. We hadn’t heard of a DJ band before, but loved the idea of some live music with the versatility to play all sorts of music, but our venue wasn’t very big and we also didn’t want to break the bank and hire a huge band. We chose the 4 piece DJ band with singer, sax, drums, and DJ. We knew we LOVED the sax, so we also had the sax play for cocktail hour (shout out to Elijah, who was amazing), and it was one of the best parts of the night. For planning music, they sent out a very detailed and thorough spreadsheet with more songs than one could imagine, and we could rate ones we liked the most, choose ones we definitely wanted or didn't, and choose specific songs for important moments. We met a couple times to review music choices as well. One of our biggest fears with a DJ was that they'd talk too much and be a little annoying, but Dan did a great job as MC, and was very low-key like we asked but announced important moments clearly. Dan and all the musicians had such great energy and got everyone on the dance floor. Our vocalist, Christen, was also amazing — her voice was spectacular, and she was such an amazing performer and got everyone involved in the music and dancing. So many people told us how much they loved the music and the energy, and had never heard of a DJ band but thought it was an amazing concept and the addition of live music over tracks added extra excitement and fun. THC also helped out with lighting (uplights and dance lights), and worked with our fantastic planner and the venue to help us decide the best setup. Ultimately, we loved working with THC. Their DJ-band setup is unique and adds so much variety to your music while allowing for some of the energy that comes from live performers. We danced the night away and had an absolute blast. 100% would recommend THC to anyone!”

“THE DANCE FLOOR WAS PACKED, ALL NIGHT. The Metropolitan Players are amazing!! We’re so glad we chose them for our wedding. We worked with Mandy throughout the process, Siobhan was our day of coordinator, and the band members were all wonderful. We love live music - a band who can command the room, having as much fun on stage as the guests dancing below. They sang their hearts out, had fun horn solos, and would lock eyes with me (bride) like a concert, and we’d do the rock and roll hand sign to each other. It was SO much fun. Our guests LOVED the band. When we were gathering ourselves before our first dance, we looked at each other and said wait a second, is that OUR wedding band?! Playing our first dance song?! Do I hear horns?! They’re so good!! How lucky are we! People would come up to us and say holy cow did you hire a 30 person wedding band?! No, of course not, but they had the presence and sound that carried as if they were a much larger band. REPEAT CUSTOMERS - A bit about our process - we went to a number of showcases in NYC, where wedding bands play live, so you know what you’re getting before hiring them. We got a ton of quotes (15). We parsed through bands we’d seen at other weddings. We saw many bands who were much worse live than they were in their videos - scary when you’re booking them for one very important day! When first engaging with the Met Players, we were nervous because they don’t do any live showcases (they cost a lot of money and don’t want to pass that financial burden onto couples in final booking costs.) We thought - how can we be sure they’re great if we can’t hear them live? We went back and forth with Mandy (couple coordinator) to get comfortable. We scoured the internet and any tagged videos on YouTube and Instagram. Unlike other bands, they post unedited content, so the sound is what you’d actually hear the night of (shot on iPhone speakers). We read every review we could find on the internet. We spoke to couples who’d worked with them in the past. Ultimately, while all the research and people we spoke to did wonders to help us get comfortable, the final piece that sold us was the number of repeat customers. Many reviews were from friends or family of a couple that hired the Met Players in the past, who loved them so much that they booked them for their own. Families who’d worked with the Met Players two and three times. Everyone had great things to say so we took a leap of faith. And we are SO glad we did!! The unedited videos don’t do justice for what they sound like in person - they’re much better! END TO END A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE We can’t say enough good things about the Met Players. They’re spectacular, seem to be having as much fun as the guests, have great energy, are amazing performers, and are exceptionally organized and informative throughout the process. We asked them to learn a few new songs for us (including, importantly, our first dance song) and each one felt like they’d been playing it for years - they were that good. They paired our first dance song down to be our desired length - even better than the original! We had a guitarist play during our ceremony, acoustic and beautiful, and not two hours later were tearing up the dance floor. The dance floor was packed all night! If we were to plan our wedding again knowing what we know now, we’d choose the Met Players again, every time. We’re so grateful for everything you did to make our wedding special and feel like us. Thank you!!”

“How to begin to sing the praises of the best band there is? We’ll start with unsolicited reviews from our friends: “Would you be offended if I use your same band for my wedding? I feel like anything else would be a let down.” “What’s your band name? I have to follow them on Instagram.” “Pretty sure that was the best band I’ve seen in 20 years of weddings.” We had our wedding at the Prospect Park Boathouse, and by 20 minutes into the first set the band had amassed a crowd of passers-by who stopped to watch and listen from a nearby bridge and stayed all evening long. Logistically, The Cool Rulers made life easy. We had a number of special requests for our wedding and The Cool Rulers approved them without hesitation and executed them flawlessly. This included learning 3 new songs, one of which was to be sung by 2 of our friends. Charles & Co coordinated with our friends to send them a demo and arrange time for a quick rehearsal, all of which culminated in a “performance” that seemed as if it had been rehearsed for months. The even accommodated a specific request for how they were set up, leaving us an aisle to walk down and filling it in during a short break later in the evening. The Cool Rulers are immeasurably talented, and the perfect complement to that talent is their ability to set the tone, ride the energy, and deliver an absolutely perfect evening of music and dancing. “Our MC Billy and DJ Angelo were amazing at reading the room and keeping the party going, even in a thunderstorm. There was not a single moment where the guests stopped dancing even as equipment was moved from the tent to the indoor reception. The MC reviewed all details with us the day of and made sure we didn’t have any changes or additions. They had an amazing planning form on their website for song requests to create our own music for each portion of the wedding. High Voltage also works closely with Swan Lake and Capture the Moment, so we felt at ease that everyone was working together as a unit at all times. He listened to our requests and added his own magic which I knew he would do. The dance floor was packed!! Matty was perfect in his execution- never stealing the spotlight from the bride and groom and he didn’t sing and shout over the music which we appreciated! (That has a time and place but not for this wedding). He pulled together instrumentals for the ceremony and managed the artists and added musicians at the reception and it really brought out the celebratory vibe of the night. “Naked Soul (led by Tony and Tom Perrone) absolutely ROCKED at our wedding! Tons of friends and family told us during and afterwards that they were the best wedding band they'd seen, and we might be biased, but we agree wholeheartedly. They were also pretty great to work with, and as a result music was one of the least stressful parts of planning and one of the best memories of the event. The planning process was extremely professional — we had a few calls with Tony to talk over the vibe we were going for in the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dance floor. They sent over a list of a couple hundred songs in their repertoire and we picked 20 or so to anchor their idea of what we were looking for and selected our processionals, recessional, first dance, and parent-child dances. Our first dance was not on their list but they learned it and killed it in their performance. Our venue was a little non-traditional (relatively small room for the dance floorband) and we weren't sure that a full band was going to work in the space, but Tony put us at ease and pulled it off amazingly. One of the points Tony made in the run-up was that the songs we were picking were recommendations, not a set list. The band was going to follow the vibe and play more of whatever style was working with the crowd. This made it so much easier for us to pick songs, and in the end they played a lot of stuff that wasn't in our pics but went over better than we could have dreamed. I never thought I'd say that the best songs at my wedding were from the Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, and Black Eyed Peas. They knew their audience and the place went wild when they played Everybody (Backstreet's Back). The range of songs that a 10-piece band with a full array of vocalists can pull off is wild. Anyway, 10/10, would book again. If you're in the New York area and looking for a party we can't recommend Perrone Bros/Naked Soul highly enough. Bonus, these pics were taken by Tony and posted to their Instagram after the event.”
