I’m Austin Charnis, a classical, Spanish, and contemporary guitarist providing live music for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and beyond. With more than 15 years of experience, I create customized musical experiences that reflect each couple’s style, from classical music and romantic Spanish guitar to instrumental arrangements of modern compositions.
Beyond the music itself, I help ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, from sound and acoustics to timing and transitions, so couples can simply enjoy the moment. Whether performing for an intimate gathering or a large celebration, my goal is to create a musical experience that feels personal, polished, and fitting for the day.

Austin was absolutely wonderful to work with! From the very beginning, he was communicative, collaborative, friendly, and incredibly easy to work with throughout the planning process. On our wedding day, he played beautifully during both our cocktail hour and ceremony, creating such a warm and elegant atmosphere. He is exceptionally talented, professional, and even accommodated a few unexpected hiccups with ease, helping everything flow seamlessly. We received so many compliments from our guests about the live music. If you’re considering having a guitarist for your wedding or special event, I cannot recommend Austin enough. Excellent ceremony music at our upstate wedding
My husband and I had a lovely experience working with Austin for our wedding in Hyde Park, NY. He was easy to work with from start to finish and we were so glad to have found him. He was of particularly great help guiding the song selection process: My husband and I had a vibe in mind for our ceremony music, but were totally clueless on specific tracks. Austin tuned into our preferences and proactively recommended a few different options for songs categorized by each stage of the ceremony. He also learned a new piece that we requested. Lastly and critically for a wedding vendor: Austin adapted and went with the flow on the day of our ceremony when we were thrown a few wrenches! We had to move our ceremony inside because of rain, and then had a fire drill just a few minutes before the ceremony, and had to evacuate everyone! But he kept the vibes going with his music, and it was lovely. He also handled the audio for the ceremony itself, and that went totally without a hitch. We couldn’t recommend him more!

We are so happy that we booked with Austin for our wedding in Media, PA! On top of being an excellent guitarist, Austin was so easy to work with provided great guidance throughout the planning process. Based on our music preferences, he helped us narrow down music selections for our ceremony and curated a playlist that captured the atmosphere we wanted. My husband also requested a custom song for his walk down the aisle and Austin was enthusiastic about learning it and he knocked it out of the park. Our guests were so impressed with the quality of Austin’s performance and we could not have asked for a better way to elevate our ceremony and cocktail hour. Austin is professional, easy to work with, and was very responsive to all of our questions. We so enjoyed working with him and highly recommend hiring him for your next event! You will not be disappointed.
