The Plus Ones provide tailored live music for your special day. Our mission is to create memorable entertainment for you and your guests during this once in a lifetime moment. We offer a variety of musician combinations and will help you choose the right one for your celebration. Solo and duo musicians are the perfect choice for an outdoor ceremony in either Prospect Park, Brooklyn or Central Park, Manhattan. The Plus Ones have performed for all types of ceremonies and parties. We also provide acoustic music for proposals and for couples traveling to NYC to elope.
Owner Gerald Edward is a seasoned guitarist and vocalist living in NYC and has performed at over 500 weddings throughout his career. Gerald and the Plus Ones are able to perform music spanning many eras and genres. With 15 years of experience, you can trust us to help find the right songs and style for your event. We take special requests and cover your favorites for processional, recessional, and first dance.

They Made Our Wedding Unforgettable!!!!!!!
Absolutely amazing — there are truly no words to capture how talented, professional, and genuine The Plus One’s Band are. We had the trio of Gerald, Jan, and Katie, and each of them was outstanding. From the very beginning, communication was seamless and professional, and on the wedding day they were not only exceptional musicians but also wonderful people who fit right in with our celebration. They brought incredible energy and artistry, performing our song list beautifully while also going above and beyond by accommodating guest requests on the spot. The songs they learned specifically for us were performed so perfectly, many of our guests said they sounded even better than the originals. At one point, they even had the entire venue singing along — an unforgettable moment that we’ll cherish forever. Their talent, professionalism, and warmth created such a joyful atmosphere, and we feel so grateful to have had them be a part of our day. We recommend The Plus One’s Band without hesitation to anyone seeking extraordinary musicians who will make their event truly unforgettable.

A gem!
We hired Gerald and The Plus Ones for our ceremony and reception music at Wave Hill in the Bronx, and they were fantastic! Gerald was communicative, warm, flexible, and quick to learn and beautifully perform our requested songs. (a friend came flying over on the dance floor at one point shouting "they're singing Waxahatchee???!!!") Gerald also jumped in day of for some gentle emceeing to introduce our nervous toast making family members, and just generally put everyone at ease and set a great tone for the evening. Highly recommend, and thank you, Gerald!

Gerald Edwards for solo singing guitarist
We hired Gerald as a single singing guitarist for our small (30 person) wedding in Brooklyn after finding him online. He completely over-delivered in terms of expectations. Gerald is punctual, kind, thoughtful, and very prepared. He offered to learn 5 new songs for our package and delivered on all of them flawlessly. He played acoustic guitar for the ceremony and sang/played guitar for cocktail hour, dinner, and the reception after dinner. Everyone at the wedding was incredibly impressed by his talent and he had several nice conversations with the guests in between songs. Gerald elevated our special night in many ways and we were so pleased to have him with us. We 1000% recommend Gerald for whatever your musical needs may be.

The Plus Ones NYC were an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, Gerald’s communication was friendly, responsive, and professional. He is clearly passionate about his craft and dedicated to making our day special. The trio was incredibly talented and experienced, with Gerald leading the ceremony music and the trio keeping our reception going all night. Everyone was complimenting their performance - they truly completed the vibe we were going for and had an amazing song list that they were even willing to expand on for us. We couldn't have asked for a better band to make our wedding day feel like a movie. Highly recommend The Plus Ones NYC!

Absolutely incredible!
We hired Gerald and his 5-piece band ("The Plus Ones") for our wedding last September and CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH! From the very beginning, Gerald was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating, listening to our requests and going above and beyond to create a personalized setlist that perfectly represented our taste. Gerald’s ability to fill in the blanks and suggest songs that complemented our selections was truly impressive. The band’s seamless integration of our requests created a truly memorable experience for our wedding, one that represented “us” perfectly. Gerald’s solo guitar performances during cocktail hour and the ceremony added a light and beautiful touch to the day’s events. The entire band as a whole was professional and true masters of their craft. The female lead singer has an INCREDIBLE voice and stage presence that kept our guests entertained throughout the night. We received countless compliments on the band, with many people mentioning how much fun they had dancing and singing along.
