A guaranteed amazing time
We hired Non-Traditional DJs after going to an awesome wedding that they DJed, and happy to say DJ Matthew did an incredible job playing our wedding! We had our wedding at Crawford Park in Rye Brook (indoor cocktail hour and outdoor tented reception), and he saved the day when we had to move the dance party back inside after the temperature dropped suddenly on a super windy day. He moved all the equipment inside without interruption while we did speeches, and by the time they were over, we all moved in for dancing and he packed up the last speaker mic afterward. While all of this was unplanned, his flexibility was reassuring and made for an even better dance party than we could've predicted. Aside from the emergency switch, Matthew did an amazing job DJing the dance party and all of our guests said it was one of the most fun weddings they've been to!! All killer no filler. We preferred that our DJ didn't make a ton of announcements or talk over the music, and that's exactly their MO. My partner and I had specific playlists for cocktail hour and dancing, and when we had our call to go over the planning, we could tell Matthew knew what we were going for. He played a ton of music that we picked out and mixed in other songs that went with the vibe. Overall, the music from start to finish was fire, and I'd highly recommend Matthew and NTW DJs to everyone.
Phenomenal from start to finish
We recently got married and had the absolute pleasure of working with Non-Traditional Wedding DJs — and we truly couldn’t be happier with our experience. Our DJ, Rafe, was phenomenal from start to finish. He took the time to understand our vibe, our vision, and what mattered most to us. He kept the energy flowing all night and knew exactly how to read the room — the dance floor was never empty! Rafe was not only professional and organized, but incredibly kind and easy to work with. He helped make the night feel effortless and fun, and the music truly set the tone for the most unforgettable celebration. We received so many compliments from our guests about how great the music was and how smooth everything felt. If you’re looking for a DJ who gets it, is down-to-earth, and knows how to keep your wedding fun, meaningful, and perfectly “you” — look no further. We had the pleasure of Rafe DJ’ing our wedding, and we can’t recommend working with him and Non-Traditional enough! Rafe understood our vision and helped bring it to life, seamlessly mixing different genres and eras of music for our diverse set of guests, as well as incorporating foreign-language music to honor our mixed culture celebration. In the planning phase, Ben and then Rafe were organized and responsive and provided helpful planning resources. Rafe was collaborative and gave great recommendations to craft our perfect playlist. All of our guests had a wonderful time on the dance floor thanks to Rafe!

Working with Ben is always a pleasure. He is communicative, easy to work with and I know that the wedding day and night will be fun and go off without a hitch. Ben tailors weddings for each couple, understanding that no two weddings are the same and that every couple and family have different tastes in music. I've only known Ben to throw an epic dance party, his playlists on his website are amazing and is always willing to share helpful planning tips for his couples to make their process as stress-free and fun as possible.
