A 16-year veteran of the NYC club scene. I collaborate closely with couples to create their unique musical experiences for themselves and their guests by delivering a Sophisticated Savoire-Faire of seamlessly blended hits from past decades to what's currently in vogue; citing T-40 Dance, House, IndiePop/Rock, Nu-Disko, Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Disco, Latin and Reggae as some of my favorites.
Music has always been a conduit for my self expression. At the age of 16, I was mentored by a club DJ in Seattle. I quickly discovered music had the power to facilitate joy and connection between people. From then on I have worked hard to hone intuitive skills and an eclectic musical repertoire. I pride myself in being able to tune into the vibe of a crowd and and keep the dance floor full and engaged over many different genres. As a NYC wedding DJ and DJ for special events, it's a different experience every time. I fuse my Nightlife and Wedding Experience to ensure a Packed Dance Floor performed with Sophistication, Presence, and Tact.

Fun and fabulous DJ!
Marcus did a fabulous job DJing our wedding! We wanted someone fun, with deep music knowledge, who could blend a bunch of different genres and songs together, and not do the typical wedding DJ MCing. Marcus was perfect, he listened to all our requests, workshopped ideas with us, gave really helpful guidance, and made everything sound seamless and feel like a really cool party. 100% recommend!

Without hesitation - BOOK MARCUS!
From our first intro call with Marcus, it was clear that he's a polished, class act. We appreciated his buttoned-up organization and kind demeanor. My husband and I did not want the typical DJ with cheesy voiceovers. Marcus delivered exactly what we were looking for - he played an essential role in guiding the key moments of the night (first dances, speeches, etc.) by delivering the necessary announcements warmly and clearly. None of the "hype man" vibe. He curated a perfect flow to maximize our time on the dance floor during a day that went so fast - and stayed flexible when our dinner timeline ran longer than expected. And the most important part....the music! Marcus is an INCREDIBLE DJ. His mixes between songs were flawless and cuts were perfectly timed so nothing lingered for a moment too long. We could tell that he prepared deeply for the day. My husband and I shared an inspo playlist (that was many hours long) to give him a vibe of our musical interests. He not only hit our must play requests (as filled out on his thorough wedding planning worksheet), but we could tell he truly studied our playlist and weaved in many of our favorites throughout dinner and dancing. It didn’t feel like a “wedding,” it felt like OUR party and that is thanks to Marcus! He also helped guide us and provide recommendations on what sound and lighting setups would work best for us & our venue. He provided our sound needs for the ceremony, arriving early to set up and mic check with our officiant. We were so happy we were able to rent our dance floor party lights through him too. Our dance floor was packed the entire night and guests were raving about how great the music was. I even bailed on my dress change for the reception because I didn't want to miss a single second on the dance floor! Hiring Marcus was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning journey - he went above and beyond our expectations!

Amazing Wedding DJ!
Marcus DJ'd our wedding this past weekend and he was the best DJ we could ask for! We had an initial consultation with him to align on what we're generally looking for, completed a "worksheet" with all the music and MCing details and any specific songs/playlists we wanted played, and then a final meeting to review the day from top to bottom. Marcus was communicative and easy to reach with any questions during this time. On the day of the wedding, he came several hours ahead of time to set up and prepare. During the wedding, Marcus played all the music from guest arrival to reception exactly how we envisioned, and MC'd all of the entrances, first dances, guest photos, etc. exactly on time and without too much fluff, which is what we wanted. Later, he played a great set of 2010s-2020s EDM and hype guest favorites that got the dance floor lit, and with great mixing and transitions too. Highly recommend Marcus if you're looking for a wedding DJ who's very skilled/experienced and just really knows music (not your average wedding DJ)!

From the moment we met Marcus, we knew he would be the perfect DJ for our wedding. He was incredibly responsive, detail-oriented, and kind throughout the entire planning process. On the day of, Marcus delivered an amazing dance party that kept all of our guests on the dance floor all night long. He was so thoughtful, recognizing our love for certain artists and making sure to play multiple songs from them. He was respectful of our do not play list and hit all of our must-plays! Marcus was also incredibly thorough and communicative, ensuring the flow of the evening went smoothly. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ - Marcus truly helped make our special day unforgettable.

We absolutely loved working with Marcus for our wedding! He was a fantastic MC and did an amazing job working with the long list of must-plays we had all the way through our entrance, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing through the end of the night. He also did a great job of shepherding people where they needed to go be it for hors d'oeuvres and desserts or out to the dance floor :) It was a fantastic night and Marcus was an integral part of it.
