A 16-year veteran of the NYC club scene. I collaborate closely with couples to create their unique musical experiences for themselves and their guests by delivering a Sophisticated Savoire-Faire of seamlessly blended hits from past decades to what's currently in vogue; citing T-40 Dance, House, IndiePop/Rock, Nu-Disko, Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Crossover Reggae and Crossover Latin as some of my favorites.

Music has always been a conduit for my self expression. At the age of 16, I was mentored by a club DJ in Seattle. I quickly discovered music had the power to facilitate joy and connection between people. From then on I have worked hard to hone intuitive skills and an eclectic musical repertoire. I pride myself in being able to tune into the vibe of a crowd and and keep the dance floor full and engaged over many different genres. As a NYC wedding DJ and DJ for special events, it's a different experience every time. I fuse my Nightlife and Wedding Experience to ensure a Packed Dance Floor performed with Sophistication, Presence, and Tact.

    DJ Marcus Ho is the best DJ and one of the best (if not the best) vendor we worked with for our wedding. He was extremely professional, communicative, and played fantastic music. He answered me same day when I had initially started reaching out for DJs and his initial email had a good amount of information I needed, including cost, packages, and other details you are looking for with a DJ. Also, Marcus not only did his DJ duties, but was able to MC as well for us. We weren't looking for an over the top MC - like the ones who do too much on the dance floor. Instead we were looking for someone who was able to make the proper announcements and also keep the hype up, which Marcus was great at! The whole process of working with Marcus was extremely painless and wonderful. He was very fast with answering emails and addressed any questions we had. We had 2 meetings - 1 initial introduction meeting, which immediately after I knew he was the DJ for us, and a 2nd meeting a few weeks before our big day to discuss details. Marcus provides a worksheet for the couple to fill out with Wedding party details, music picks, etc. It was very detailed and during the 2nd meeting, we discussed it in detail so he is able to ensure that your day goes well. He also above and beyond to contact the venue for our wedding as I believe it was his first time working at our venue. He wanted to make sure that he would be able to set up properly for cocktail hour and reception, and he did so without me having to be involved at all (all I needed to provide was the contact information). Marcus was also able to work on the fly with accommodate a last minute change we had to our wedding and it went off without a hitch. I had emailed him the evening before with the change and on the day, he was 100% able to make sure it was taken care of. Marcus is not one of those DJs where you give him a list of must plays and he takes them as suggestions. He does his best to play everything that you want played at your wedding. We had so many requests that I was worried not everything was going to be played, but after our 2nd meeting, he ensured us that we could even provide a few more songs, which was fantastic! Right before our wedding, he provided his mix of songs he was going to play for our guest arrival and cocktail hour. All the songs he picked fit the vibe that we were going for. On our wedding day, he played all the songs plus some more that went perfectly along with the songs we requested. He read the room and knew what our guests would love dancing to. We had a ton of fun, and our guests seemed to have as well - all thanks to Marcus immaculately curating the vibes. DJ Marcus Ho was such a wonderful person to work with and we were extremely glad to have chosen him to DJ/MC our once in a lifetime day. You should definitely use him for your wedding! PS - One additional detail I did not want to leave out, as it may be important for some people looking for wedding DJ/MCs - initially, we had thought about having a bi-lingual Chinese/English MC and Marcus was able to provide some names he worked with. Ultimately, we did not go with that option, but having the connection was extremely helpful.

    Marcus was a great DJ during our recent wedding. During the prep time he was calm, respectful, and an asset to make sure everything was all set for the day. During the reception, he kept the energy flowing and had everyone on the dance floor including some of my old extended family. For days after the wedding all of our guests had mentioned how good the music was. We would highly recommend for anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding. Thank you Marcus!

    Where do I begin! From the moment we first met with Marcus, we knew he was the DJ for us. He is so charismatic and easy to talk to. He respected our vision and gave helpful suggestions when we didn’t quite know how we wanted things to go (how does anyone know what they’re doing when planning their first wedding?!). The music was flawlessly executed from guest arrival to the final song of the reception. I can’t tell you how many people commented on the music! The dance floor was packed all night long, so much so that we had late night dessert and I think much of it went uneaten because everyone was having too much fun to leave the dance floor lol. We had a few “unique” moments of our wedding and Marcus not only supported our crazy ideas but implemented them perfectly. Thank you Marcus for making our best day ever unforgettable!

    Marcus did a fantastic job DJing our wedding. He was able to seamlessly meld music from different cultures, eras, and genres which kept the dance floor lively the whole night. During the work up to the wedding he was so helpful and had great ideas—he helped us think through and navigate the different transitions in our wedding and figure out what types of music we wanted played. He also worked very well with our band, providing equipment they needed and helping them set up. He is such a pleasure to work with, a true professional, and is a genuinely wonderful person—if you are looking for a DJ you should look no further!!
