Based in New York City, The Hook Club is one of the tri-state area's most exciting and unique wedding bands. Owned and operated by a tight-knit community of musicians, they are known for their attention to every musical detail and the professionalism they bring to every event. Their unconventional group has mastered the art of creating a great dance party that keeps guests on the dance floor all night and then humming the songs the next day!

The Hook Club’s specialty is to take every audience on a journey they will never forget. From timeless classics to today's dance hits, their instrumentalists dazzle crowds for hours on end with their high-energy arrangements, while their diverse roster of vocalists get the crowd dancing and singing top 40, classic rock, and hip-hop hits on the dance floor. When The Hook Club plays, they get the whole room involved, and everyone leaves feeling like a member of the band!

    We were incredibly disappointed with our experience with The Hook Club. They were one of the more expensive DJ-hybrid options, and we chose to invest more because music was such an important part of our wedding day. Unfortunately, they did not deliver. Their entire team arrived late, which pushed back our ceremony start time and left us and our guests waiting. We also paid for a full hour of live guitar music, but because of their lateness, we only received the brief ceremony entrance songs. This was extremely disappointing. The microphone for our officiant wasn’t set up correctly, and Jesse had to walk up during the ceremony to fix them - on top of the team already being late. During our reception entrance, they announced me as Angela instead of Angelica. After multiple meetings, this felt like an oversight and embarrassing. Their team took an excessively long dinner break without coordinating with the venue. Our guests were literally on the dance floor asking for music. For a service costing over 7k we expected far more attentiveness and professionalism. The only part we genuinely enjoyed was the sax player. They never apologized for any of these issues and only refunded the ceremony music after I pointed out that their lateness constituted a breach of contract.

    The Hook Club made our wedding dreams come true. My husband is Dominican and I am from New England, and therefore we were looking for a bilingual band that could play a very wide range of music - from American wedding classics, to Pop, to Reggaeton, to Merengue, to Bachata — and a group that could MC the evening in Spanish and English, and bring the energy to keep the party going.  We went with Hook Club’s 7 piece DJ Band, and they were above and beyond fantastic. They curated a setlist that somehow, despite the wide range of music, flowed together and was cohesive. I can’t express enough how talented they are vocally, instrumentally, professionally, and as performers. The dance floor was absolutely lit; even my brother who was on crutches and had a torn labrum couldn’t stay away. It makes me tear up thinking about how much energy, positivity, and happiness they brought to our night — they will always have a special place in our hearts. They are also true professionals - the planning process was easy, they were prompt in all communication, and on the day of they handled venue-related hiccups with grace. They were the first vendor to arrive to ensure a thorough set up, and the last to leave.  They are truly such a special, one of a kind group, and I cannot recommend them enough. Of all the many decisions we made in planning our wedding, choosing THC was by far the best decision of them all. Although our wedding was back in August; our friends and family are still talking about The Hook Club, exlusively referring to them as “ the best wedding band they have ever heard before”. We had a fairly diverse crowd in terms of age, background, taste in music and their ability to please that wide range of people is a testament to their talent. THANK YOU TO THE HOOK CLUB !!!

    Choosing The Hook Club (THC) was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very first conversation, the entire team was professional, organized, and an absolute joy to work with—genuinely kind, passionate people who care deeply about creating the perfect musical experience. They know events, they know music, and they know exactly how to bring the two together seamlessly. My husband and I have very different music tastes (think “recession-pop meets ’80s hits”), but Jesse and his team completely nailed the challenge. We hired their Hybrid DJ Band, and they blew us—and our guests—away. The dance floor was packed all night, and even our self-proclaimed “non-dancers” couldn’t resist joining in. THC handled every musical moment with perfection: elegant strings for our ceremony, fun pop-classical vibes for cocktail hour, and a curated dinner playlist that set the perfect tone. They even went above and beyond with special requests, including a crowd-favorite “horah tutorial.” Every part of our day felt personal, elevated, and effortless thanks to them. We had the best time working with this team and can’t recommend them highly enough—book The Hook Club if you want your wedding to be unforgettable!

    These guys are rockstars. They've perfected the formula for a perfect wedding band and brought so much fun and energy to our reception. A little expensive but in the end so worth the splurge for an amazing performance - our guests have been raving about how much fun we had on the dance floor. Also appreciated the planning process, great people to work with that give genuine attention to every couple!
