Four & Twenty Blackbirds is a pie bakery founded in Brooklyn in 2009 by sisters and pie makers Melissa Elsen and Emily Elsen. We make beautiful handmade pies, using seasonal and fresh ingredients sourced from local orchards.

    Amazing Pi(e) Day Wedding Favors!

    I can't recommend Four & Twenty Blackbirds enough! We ordered six different flavors of mini pies individually boxed as our "take home" gift from our wedding last weekend (3.14 - Pi(e) Day). First, of course, the pies were absolutely delicious and the talk of all our guests for days after. Beyond that, the FTB team was so nice to work with, communicated frequently with our wedding planner and venue leading up to the event to ensure a smooth delivery, and the individual boxes were so nicely done. We barely escaped with two to take home for ourselves. :)

    Our wedding guests went crazy for these pies!

    We ordered an assortment of mini pies for our wedding reception from Four & Twenty Blackbirds (which never misses, btw) and I was worried people would be too distracted with dancing to enjoy them... but that was not the case. The pies were gone SO QUICKLY (even though we ordered plenty) and everyone raved about them. One guest told me he ate five, which is a little excessive, but that's how good these are. Our wedding was almost a year ago and our friends still talk about the pies. Don't skip the Salty Honey—it is their original creation and it is life changing. Highly recommend!

    Delicious!

    I'm not a cake person, so I planned from the outset to serve pies in addition to wedding cake. Four & Twenty Blackbirds was super easy to work with, and their pies are pure perfection -- I ended up buying their cookbook after my wedding! We got pecan, pear, and lemon chess pies, and I've happily been eating leftovers for a week.

    The Best Desserts in New York

    We ordered pies for our wedding, and it was perfect. It was a last minute order and they accommodated our crazy request. The team got back to me so quickly, and, everything arrived on schedule. Of course, the pies were delicious!
